Meeting short deadline:

The app was scheduled for launch on October 17. This timeline included development, testing, and final revisions phases, with specific milestones set for design completion, feature integration, and user acceptance testing.

Creating a mobile and TV application for a multi-content streaming platform for a client from Amsterdam. 
Goal and Deliverable was a global streaming platform that provided members unlimited access to various types of content. Our mission was to develop native mobile and TV apps that would serve the unique needs of their users.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We needed to provide the client's customers with a new all-in-one solution for engaging with different types of content on their phones, whether Android or iOS. Our main focus was to build a streamlined, modern mobile application that would provide a high-quality experience for features provisioned by the existing backend API layer.

As for TV, we first took over the existing apps and improved their functionality and stability. Then we continued developing new features so that Android TV and Fire TV (and Tizen later on) users could use a streamlined, modern TV application that caters to their needs.

Both applications are developed with a hybrid/agile approach, to ensure high flexibility and performance, according to the client's business needs and priorities.

We worked on an Agile project with an iterative approach, 2-week sprints. Each Boopro team member who worked on this project was more than dedicated to delivering the agreed Sprint goal. 
In the long period, we worked together even when Sprint's goals abruptly changed due to the client's business needs - they were more than flexible. More than anything they were drivers of change, new ways of working, and innovation and they brought a lot of improvements to the product and project itself.

The most impressive thing is definitely how easily we communicated. They are more than flexible and open to feedback, and negotiations, they listen carefully to our needs and product or project needs and do their best to fulfill all our expectations. 
Employee expertise for each domain (PHP, React, QA, Azure DevOps) is remarkable and as a company, we can always rely on them to deliver the highest quality.

• Documentation could be improved. Sometimes, looking back at code one has written can be challenging to understand. Technical documentation could've helped us to streamline further feature iterations.
• Proactivity of improvements that can add extra value to the overall product should be raised at an early stage so we can prioritize different if we see that the improvements are low-hanging fruits.

Initially, we had a different developer who created a non-scalable app structure. We’ve worked with Boopro Technology to create a new one.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Boopro Technology has built our web and mobile applications from scratch. I’ve designed the app in Figma, and Boopro Technology has also made some designs. The team has developed the web app using PHP and the mobile app using React for iOS and Android.

We’ve worked with around 10–20 teammates from Boopro Technology, including Dušan, Josif, iOS and Android developers, a project manager, and designers.

My friend referred Boopro Technology. We had a meeting with the team, I told them everything about my idea, and they presented a solution to our problem. Boopro Technology also shared their portfolio, which included similar applications. So we started talking about it and making some roadmaps.

We’ve launched the app and have around 5,000–10,000 users. We have 80% of the local tennis and padel market, which is a success for now.

We have biweekly sprints, use ClickUp for project management, and communicate via Google Meet, Slack, and email. Sometimes, they misunderstand my expectations, and we’ve had some delays, but maybe it's my fault. We’re satisfied with Boopro Technology’s performance and the project timeline.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

There is one teammate: Dušan. He’s a really good person, and he understands my position. He’s not just strictly programming; he’s thinking about the real problem in the outside world. Josif is also a great person. He’s a real expert and always solves problems in five minutes.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Boopro Technology listens to our problems and is invested in the project; I don't feel like I'm just another project they have. When I send a message, I have an answer in about 10 minutes. That's really important for me because of the tempo and speed of the stuff going on these days.

We could use faster developers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

It's hard to express how good this collaboration has been. The outcome was a beautifully designed UX & UI website and booking system that our clients love. It doesn't only function well by increased bookings, but also decreased our time of administrative work since 90% is done with the website.

We had weekly meetings were we were updated and shown all the progress. It was very well planned and always on time.

That even though they are a bigger development company, they work like a start-up with direct and close contact with their clients. They never miss deadlines and they always keep you updated. Their knowledge is on another level than other developers we worked with within Sweden.They have everything. If they don't know something while talking to you, somebody in the company has the competence and jumps in and solves the problem.

There were never any problems, and we were actually very picky and wanted everything to 110% perfection and they had no problem delivering, everytime.
