Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the General Manager for Federated Student Loan Advisors. We help people who owe on their student loans and are struggling with payments through loan consolidation or getting them into programs that lower their payments.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Bold Marc?

We advertise on various platforms like Google and social media. We wanted to build multiple websites that to support our online advertising. We tried two companies before who were expensive and couldn’t get us what we needed. We needed a fully functional site quickly.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bold Marc has built us three fully functional, secure, mobile-friendly sites. They have also provided some consulting services and helped us with other tasks like changing our hosting arrangement and fixing the server for an old site that was being incorrectly redirected.

What is the team composition?

I communicate with the owner/founder.

How did you come to work with Bold Marc?

We only wanted to work with people locally because we had challenges in the past. I looked up vendors based here in Bakersfield, California, and did some interviews as well as price matching. Our project was time sensitive and Bold Marc was able to do it within the shortest amount of time for a great price. They’ve done a great job fast—better than anyone we dealt with in the past—so we continue to work with them.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $2,000 – $3,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in March 2018 and it’s ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The site they built was approved by Google within three days and is now how we get most of our calls. They knew how to effectively design and integrate elements like videos, banners, and click-to-call buttons that drive people to our site and to call us. The site generates a high number of conversions, which is the most important thing.

How did Bold Marc perform from a project management standpoint?

We used to do a lot by phone but now primarily communicate via email. They’re always quick to respond—quicker than anybody I’ve worked within the industry. For example, today I emailed him about a new domain project. He responded within 25 minutes of asking for details and sent me a proposal within two hours. They’re quick with what they do which I really like.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their attention to detail and their promptness. They’re also a lot more affordable than a lot of people I’ve worked with. Those three things stand out.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Don't judge a book by its cover. Give them a chance and they’ll exceed your expectations.
