We tasked Bold with creating two key videos for us. The first was an emotionally-charged testimonial video focused on some of our customers. It needed to emphasise the difference our product makes to people's lives and encouraged other people to buy a home with us. The second was a video central to our crowdfunding campaign, focused on our CEO giving an investor pitch.

The key deliverable was a video that would explain the investment opportunity and the product clearly, while encouraging investors to invest in the future of our company. Bold delivered both to an extremely high standard and met all of the expectations we set and provided what we needed against all the key deliverables.

I’m the founder of a B2B video ad agency.

What challenge were you trying to address with Bold Content?

We needed a video production company in the UK because we had a project in London. We wanted to use a local production company with a high-quality standard.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Since we were total outsiders to London, Bold Content helped coordinate all the logistics around the shoot day. They provided all the gear, personnel, and crew. The project was a type of master class, so they delivered about 15 eight-minute videos.

What is the team composition?

We worked with many people, including their director of photography, producer, and sound and camera operators. However, we mainly interacted with Adam (Managing Director). Additionally, one of their producers interfaced directly with our project manager to handle all the logistics.

How did you come to work with Bold Content?

We did an exhaustive search on Google. My project manager made a list of 10 possible production companies, and it was apparent that they should be on the shortlist. We met with Bold Content and another company; however, we felt a deeper connection with Bold Content. They were on the same wavelength as us in terms of quality and customer service. They made sure they understood the project’s expectations, and we aligned well. Also, they had their key team members on the line and up to speed, so they did an excellent job onboarding the project.

We spent somewhere around $60,000–$70,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together in August 2021, and the project was in and out in August.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The project was for the highest clientele of a financial services firm, so it’s not public. However, the end client loved the quality of the video and was blown away. We plan on working together again on a separate project.

How did Bold Content perform from a project management standpoint?

They stayed on budget and were clear and communicative. Production projects can be messy, but Bold Content was very proactive. Nothing went wrong because they mitigated everything before it became an issue. The project went seamlessly, and everything was streamlined and taken care of.

For communication, we preferred to stay in touch by email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Everyone on the team was super professional. Moreover, they had an eye for commercial quality. We saw them more as a film company rather than a videographer or video production company. 

Additionally, Bold Content did similar work to us in the B2B space, so they were aligned with our vision. They knew how to bring top-shelf content to life.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there wasn’t anything to improve. All we had to do was fly to London; we didn’t have to worry about anything.

We needed to create a testimonial video for one of our clients to show the effect our product has had on their business. It needed to be exciting and informative.

It was an extremely quick turnaround - our sales team were meeting with the client in a week and requested the testimonial be filmed. Bold content were able to bring everything together in a week for us and organise a videographer to be on site at our office on a Saturday. It was all really smooth, I gave initial direction and then they didn't need much input from there.

Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?

I worked mainly with Jessica and I think we did two iterations of the video before we were ready for final sign off. Feedback process was simple and straightforward.

Not yet - it hasn't been sent out yet, but the team is very excited about the final video and really eager to start sharing it.

It was a fast turnaround with communication mostly by email. It followed a proposed timeline and was all delivered on time.

Very high quality video, didn't need much input/direction from me after the first brief was given

No I don't think so. The production process was smooth and the end result was fantastic.

We hired Bold Content to create a video for us on our CommonSensing Project which we are delivering with partners in 3 countries in the Pacific. Our goal was to have a video that succinctly and clearly presented the objectives and benefits of this project in a light and professional manner.

We had a shortlist of vendors and had a selection panel go through a review process based on given criteria.

Their was an inception meeting with the team where expectations were clearly outlines. A script was provided and after several iterations, this was used to make the video. Further feedback and edits were made including the type of graphics, pictures and colour scheme to be used.

We worked with Adam who was very good in making the project and accommodating feedback.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We have shown the video to both internal and external stakeholders who have received this very well. Comments such as, "wow' this project is quite cutting edge and I had no idea it was achieving so much!" have been received. An extension to the project has just been received and this video played a part in demonstrating value to the donor.

Our contact person Adam, was very easy to communicate with. He was very polite and quick to respond at each point in time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I appreciated their attention to detail and flexibility. I also appreciated how they made am extra effort in getting a native from the Pacific Islands for the voice over.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

At this point in time given the pandemic situation and the need to work remotely under tight timeliness, they did a great job. Would just say they can offer subtitles as an option upfront to videos they produce.

We had a project manager but would have been good to have more regular and specific updates on delivery. A few times we had to chase and the final video was delivered at the very last minute. We understand that delays can happen but being kept updated helps everyone manage expectations and other workloads.

It also took a while for our vision to be executed. We had to go through a number of different and varying iterations before we felt it aligned to our brief. But credit to the team that they were calm and patient throughout the partnership and got us to our finish line in the nick of time

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They understand our company and brand and made themselves available for a number of sessions to film 49 members for our final video. It was a time consuming process so their time and dedication around this was appreciated. They also worked through the Easter bank holiday, which was greatly appreciated.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Bold Content Video could have done differently?

Updates on timings around project management. We understand that timings can slip, but letting the client know beforehand so we can manage expectations. We also did all the storytelling and scripting, so having more creative input.

The ideas that came back weren't always as creative as we'd hoped so we often had to step in to get amended. If they see something is not working, voicing that early on otherwise that's left to the client to rectify.

The team were organised and provided a clear statement of work. On the days of filming they arrived on time and with all necessary equipment. They made helpful suggestions around set up and content. They drew out the best from more nervous video subjects. One video delivered to date (as per agreed timeline) - initial edit was excellent and amends delivered swiftly. Understood our objective and brand style.
