Telling meaningful stories and inspiring emotions
I love to design brands that connect with people, inspire emotions and tell meaningful stories. An audience’s journey through a company’s identity should be exciting and gripping every step of the way. My biggest passion is creating the narrative that keeps those audiences engaged and wanting more. I aim to understand companies to their core, what makes them unique, what audiences want from them, and to understand the key components that are needed to create powerful brands for them. I welcome you to review my portfolio and contact me about bringing your ideas to life. Thanks for stopping by!

Chaga Chai Branding and Label Design
The brief was to design a brand and identity for the exciting new start up tea company, Chaga Chai. Using chaga mushrooms, they produce bottled iced tea drinks and packaged tea for hot drinks. A brand was needed that would help set them apart and engage with their audiences. My aim was to design something that was fun and expressive, whilst establishing them as a luxury brand. Finding inspiration from brewing and infusion, I used typography to create the idea of movement and mixing of liquids.

“My business finally looks like a legitimate brand because Bobby Hill Design created a professional look.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the owner of El Masque, a skincare company that produces facemasks made of all-natural vegan ingredients.
What challenge were you trying to address with Bobby Hill Design?
My branding looked handmade, but I wanted to take my business to the next level. Bobby Hill Design helped my business look more professional.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I explained what I wanted and how I envisioned the brand. Then they selected fonts and a color scheme. From there they designed the logo and packaging for my products. Inspired by the biology of skin, they added texture to my logo. Additionally, the graphics they designed highlighted the natural ingredients.
When they were done, they provided a breakdown of everything they used so if I released other products, I could use the same materials in the future.
They also created a social media kit that I could use on Instagram on Facebook. They even enabled preordering on our social media accounts.
What is the team composition?
I worked with Bobby (Graphic Designer).
How did you come to work with Bobby Hill Design?
I found them through word of mouth. We had mutual friends, so I contacted Bobby through Facebook.
How much have you invested with them?
I paid £300 (approximately $400 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with them about six months ago, in September 2020, and we wrapped up in October 2020
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
They created a consistent brand across all of my products. Once I began using the brand materials Bobby created for me, traffic and engagement on my pages increased significantly. I also started receiving preorders through Instagram. My business finally looks like a legitimate brand because Bobby Hill Design created a professional look.
How did Bobby Hill Design perform from a project management standpoint?
It was a very quick process. It only took them a few days to complete because they focused solely on my project during that time. We communicated through email and messenger. Bobby sent me some visual mockups. Then I provided feedback and they made changes, and we went back and forth until we were both happy with the design.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They completed it very quickly. They clearly understood my brief; they delivered was exactly what I wanted, but also put their own spin on it.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I can’t think of anything they need to improve. I was happy with the service they provided.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Give as much information as possible and explain what you’re looking for. Bobby takes in that information and delivers multiple ideas based on the brief. He seemed inspired by the brief I provided, and that generate excellent results.

Branding & Web Design for Digital Agency
"A lot of the work he was doing was viewed immediately by external clients, and they were happy with it."

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the co-director at a digital agency. We do marketing, but we mainly focus on the design elements at the moment.
What challenge were you trying to address with Bobby Hill Design?
We had several third-party clients who were looking for a rebrand and web design at the same time. We hired Bobby Hill Design to take charge of the visual elements required for the websites. Additionally, we also hired them to create options brand-wise for sub-brand categories in the same business.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Bobby (Owner) attended meetings where he was typically given the project’s brief. He was also asked to design individual elements for social media or other platforms. He also created collaterals based on a broader brief.
For example, for a mobile business, we needed him to come up with the look and feel of the brand. We already had an overarching look and feel of the main brand, but we just needed them to come up with the branding elements that matched our third-party client’s business.
What is the team composition?
Bobby was liaising with someone who was in charge of keyword and copy. Moreover, he reported to my husband who’s the lead designer and director of our business.
How did you come to work with Bobby Hill Design?
We came across Bobby at PeoplePerHour, and we liked his portfolio. We were looking specifically for someone who was going to work with an external stakeholder that deals in digital. That third-party client was selling mobile phones, tech, and other related services, and Bobby’s portfolio fit into the criteria we were looking for.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested £2,000 (approximately $2,700 USD).
What is the status of this engagement?
We collaborated in October–December 2020.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We directly worked with Bobby so we knew how well he was doing. Furthermore, a lot of the work he was doing was viewed immediately by external clients, and they were happy with it.
How did Bobby Hill Design perform from a project management standpoint?
Bobby made sure that he received clear direction about his tasks, and in the digital world, that move was very typical.
We used Toggl for any time-related management needs, but we mostly communicated via Zoom. Moreover, we usually checked in with them at the beginning and end of the day.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Bobby was very personable, and that helped because we had a high amount of work. Above all, he had clear goals and outcomes, and we also liked that he was very enthusiastic and self-motivated.
Are there any areas they could improve?
He could’ve made some executive decisions himself, but he wasn't always confident to make some of the smaller decisions.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Give the team a clear written brief and check-in with them.
