    I’m the director of operations. We’re a consulting agency that does information-based products and SaaS solutions.

    We wanted to find someone who could offer an effective solution. It needed to be cost-effective and with good reliability and communication.

    What was the scope of their involvement?

    BMV System Integration has built several platforms for us. In one case, they took over a project where another company left off and debugged the system on the backend. For the same price, they offered much better service. 

    I can’t speak to the backend, but for the frontend, they improved the workflow and made suggestions. We're at a point in our relationship where we can tell them what we need and they run with it. We’ve also used them for miscellaneous, non-essential things like web design for reoccurring websites. We’ll have a problem every once in a while, but they address it really quickly.

    For one of the systems, BMV System Integration created modules that we can take and integrate into other systems so we didn’t have to redevelop them. Sometimes we take out those modules and notice an issue. BMV System Integration will go back and fix it on each system level at each level. 

    In our latest project, we’re developing a system from scratch with BMV System Integration. Before, everything they developed for us already existed; they retooled, enhanced, and fixed it.

    What is the team composition?

    We’ve worked with half a dozen people over the last few years. 

    How did you come to work with BMV System Integration Pvt. Ltd.?

    We weren’t happy with our previous vendors. While soliciting new developers, we found BMV System Integration on Upwork. What we really liked about them was that they had a good price point and prompt communication. 

    How much have you invested with them?

    We spend $100,000 per year.

    What is the status of this engagement?

    The partnership started in March 2016 and is ongoing. We have no plans of going away from them.

    What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

    I’m personally pleased and satisfied with BMV System Integration, and so long as I’m happy, my partners are happy. For some of the SaaS products they’ve modified and developed for us, we use them internally, and they unquestionably have helped us make us money and expedite our processes and procedures.

    How did BMV System Integration Pvt. Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

    We’ve stuck with them because of the ease of communication. We’re at the point where we talk every day and can keep in touch via email. They give great feedback when necessary. I can ask them for an itemized update at any time, and at the end of the month, we get an itemized workflow of each developer’s work on our project. We have a good relationship built on trust.

    We don’t really have hard deadlines in our line of work. But sometimes, we have something stop working immediately, and when we contact them, someone responds right away and takes care of it. I also will occasionally give them prioritized tasks, and they’ll do it. 

    Are there any areas they could improve?

    No, to be really honest, I’m 100% happy and satisfied with them. I’d love to transition all of our SaaS development projects to BMV System Integration.

    They are really awesome. They’re efficient and always get the job done quickly. Even with more complex cases, they understand everything and take ownership. We used GitHub for our software integrations and Jira for project management.

    I trust them. My number one concern when I was looking for a company was trust because we deal with private equity and very sensitive information. When I interviewed them, I immediately felt comfortable. Throughout the process, I gave them more and more access to our entire database; by the end, they had access to the whole system.

    I have no complaints. The only thing was when the leader was out, there was a small drop in quality, but the rest of the team really stepped up. Other than that very short period of time, they have done an amazing job and I would work with them again in a heartbeat.

These functions include accounting, stock control, sales and order processing, and payments.

    They’re just responsible for maintaining the software now. If there are any issues with the software, they’ll take care of it.

    We generally worked with a team of 4­–5 people. There may have been more programmers working behind the scenes.

    How did you come to work with BMV?

    I had a personal relationship with one of their teammates because his uncle is a current employee of ours. They seemed to be the natural choice for our project since we knew them closely.

    We started working with BMV in February or March 2015, and the collaboration is ongoing. It depends on any extra reports or features we require, but 95% of the work is done. They now offer ongoing maintenance and support.

    We’re very pleased with the platform, which has been working smoothly. BMV listened to exactly what we needed while offering suggestions for alternative solutions. They struck the perfect balance of listening to our exact requirements and implementing improvements.

    BMV manages deadlines well, and their work is always on time. Due to our connectivity issues and electrical delays in Kenya, there were a few delays, but that wasn’t on them.

    While I haven’t worked with other providers, we can say that we’re extremely happy with their services. At one point, they even sent their team of 4­–5 developers to visit us in Kenya. It’s evident that they really care about their customers.
