I’m the director of a training and education company.

We needed development help for bespoke management systems.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They created a learning management system that allows us to control our student education programs. The tools lets us track the progress of our students on their learning journey.

There are at least four developers working on the project. Simon (Senior Web App Developer, Bluelinemedia Ltd) was our official point of contact. 

How did you come to work with Bluelinemedia Ltd?

We advertised our needs and had several companies respond to us. Bluelinemedia Ltd came across with a good offer and was quite local to us. We felt that we could build a strong working relationship because they made their processes easy for us to understand. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $200,000 in total.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in 2016, and our teams are still collaborating on an ongoing basis.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

While we don’t track their work using hard metrics, they’ve given us excellent service through development and ongoing platform support. We’re really pleased with their work. 

How did Bluelinemedia Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

They function almost as part of our organization, communicating with us daily. We’ve built a relationship that involves frequent updates. I know that they’ll pull out all stops if needed to meet a deadline. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They offer a personal touch to their work that makes them feel like part of our team. We don’t see them as a separate entity anymore because they’re completely integrated with what we do. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I’m very happy with the service we get with them. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be clear about what you need from them, even if you don’t know much about IT. They’re able to properly translate technical concepts. As long as you have a rough concept of your end goal, Bluelinemedia Ltd can support you.

Well established multi-office UK recruitment agency / business delivering temporary worker and permanent employee introductions across most sectors. My position requires me to give operational support to the branch network.

For what projects/services did your company hire Bluelinemedia Ltd?

I wanted to explore a bespoke CRM option for our Consultants to store Client and Applicant Data, and be able to communicate to both / swap data in a controlled and recorded environment.

To replace an "off the shelf" software provider. I had a commensurate project to improve the functionality of the Company website, making it more interactive and giving applicants direct access to our branch staff.

What were your goals for this project?

To streamline CRM software to those areas used regularly and effectively, rather than having functionality that was never used. To create a website that was easily used by the public on multiple devices, and that was intuitive and made direct representation straightforward.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

Went to several possibles to discuss our aims, and Blueline Media understood our objectives well and were imaginative and offered a variety of solution.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

They shared their ideas early on (before contract signed) and their transparency in this respect made me comfortable to partner with them. they were able to be flexible on levels of service provision which in some instances led to a reduction in costs for us.

What was the team composition?

Project Manager supported by three developers and an Illustrator.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Our website quickly drew an audience of +5% month on month, and the number of applications via website started at sub-1% of visitors, grown to 3.4% in 12 months with average visitor numbers also up by c. 64% at end of year 1. CRM work is still subject to testing TBA but so far is looking great.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project Manager was easily accessible at all times and able to offer immediate advice by phone or research and return with advice within 24 hours. Bi-monthly meetings face to face to see "live" development content and discuss issues and additional functionality as opportunities arose.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Direct access to decision makers at all times. They proactively offer multiple solutions to satisfy our needs within promised timescales and budgets.

Are there any areas for improvement?

No, they are sincerely engaged appropriately and effectively.
