Please describe your company and your position there.

Our company developed and marketed high-tech devices and systems sold through IT and system integrator channels to corporate buyers. I led our marketing and product strategy function.

For what projects/services did your company hire Blu Print PR ?

We were looking to support the launch of new offering in our industry and to broaden the awareness and voice of the company and our leaders to other influencers, namely business decision makers and the architecture and design community.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to increase the referral and recommendation of our brand to end users. We wanted to increase our sales pipeline and close more business.

We had done previous work with the principals of this firm and knew and trusted their expertise.

We created a forward-looking roadmap and plan. It was informed by the editorial calendars of publication, direct outreach to bloggers and influencers, and consultation on themes that we wanted to emphasize in each phase of the program.

They identified publications and vetted our recommendations. They contacted the editors and journalists to pitch stories about new offerings, customer case studies, and larger thought leadership topics. They project managed the submission of artwork and helped coordinate fact checking efforts.

They prepared relevant press kits for events we attended and set up press briefings and demonstrations. They were on-hand for any crisis or event-driven communication work, including local press outreach.

What was the team composition?

I've worked directly with the principals of this firm on thought leadership. The team worked with our marketing director and subject-matter experts in product management for product-related announcements and outreach.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Since working with Blu Print, the press coverage for new offerings has continued to garner positive brand attention, build pipeline, and support the decisions of our customers to choose our brand. The thought leadership efforts resulted in dozens of published articles and a stronger overall brand presence.

The workflow was smooth and well organized. They maintained common calendars and communicated proactively on upcoming deadlines and approaches. They worked with leaders to refine messaging.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They have a deep knowledge in our industry and of our business. They worked closely with the variety of personalities in the organization and were responsive to our changing needs. They were creative in their approach.

Are there any areas for improvement?

As some of our work was speculative and experimental, there were learnings along the way that we all wish we better understood. Overall, the work was done with high integrity and with polished expertise.
