The scope of work includes implementing a user authentication system, designing and implementing various screens like the start splash screen, introduction dialogue screen, victory and defeat dialogue screens, and enabling player interactions such as navigation, jumping, and attacking. Additionally, customization options for player attributes and dialogue screens through PlayFab, as well as URL redirection functionality, are part of the scope.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Art needed to look great on a budget. Gameplay needed to be smooth and fit a variety of players. Needed to fit a variety of customizations outside the scope of many vendors. These guys delivered and were very helpful throughout the process. They didn't just take orders; they wanted to understand what we were trying to accomplish and brought insight we didn't have, and they helped us exceed our goals. Very grateful.

Their project management is great. The team was very responsive to questions and updated us throughout the process. This included email, virtual meetings, and access to their project management platform. They were slightly behind but nothing to fret about. The outcome they delivered was excellent. Sometimes it just takes a tad more time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their ability to take you from your vision to your goal. Most firms are order takers and don't help with the vision. These guys make sure to understand what you're trying to accomplish, guide you, and help fill in knowledge gaps. If we had given all the direction, we would have had an inferior product relative to what we have now; and we also spent many fewer hours on this project thanks to them. This can be invaluable to most companies. They take the reins.
Are there any areas for improvement or something On The Block Gaming could have done differently?
The only area of improvement I suggested was an easier way to show the processes at a high level for quick absorption. The team is always trying to improve and ask how they could. They are very accommodating and created an easier way to see a snapshot of the progress to make our lives easier. Rare to find humility like that.
