Electronic Medication Management System
MPS delivers medication products and services to pharmacies, aged care providers, and individuals across Australia. Their services include medication packing and distribution, medication management, and dose administration.
In 2021, MPS approached Blitzm to create a new web application called MediSphere – a modern and industry leading medication administration and resident management system. In addition to solving common challenges such as performance with large data sets, system integrations, tablet compatibility and offline use cases, the new solution offers a pioneering approach to ensure compliance with the new government regulations following the recent Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety. MPS identified the findings from the Royal Commission as an opportunity to innovate and create an application that would help them to deliver the best possible care in the industry.
Application features:
- MediSphere places patients at the center of their care, improving patient dignity and quality of life while making dose administration safer. The application includes:
- Cloud-based system, delivered via a persistent web application (PWA) with offline functionality.
- User Access Management with flexible authorisation rules and customisable permissions.
- Reporting, audit logs, analytics and benchmarking.
- Responsive user interfaces for desktop and tablets.
- An intuitive, industry-first clock face design that displays 24 hours of medication management with the resident at the centre of their own care.
- Workflows to enforce compliance considering legal, policy and clinical best practice elements.
- E-prescribing and stock control.
- User actions are recorded in real-time.
- Integrations:
- MPS central patient and drug management system that facilitates interconnecting doctors, pharmacies and healthcare facilities.
- PowerBi – for integrated dynamic reporting and data visualisation.
- PainChek® – a regulatory cleared medical device for effective pain management and treatment

Views - An Enterprise Workforce Management System
Ventia (formerly Visionstream) is one of Australia’s major telecommunication infrastructure construction companies.
Ventia manages a workforce with thousands of remote employees and contractors. The coordination and monitoring of activities performed by this workforce was historically challenging due to the complex and variable nature of their work.
To address this challenge, Ventia developed a custom Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solution, with the goals of enhancing the visibility, compliance, consistency and efficiency of their vast operational scale, particularly within their wireless network projects.
- Blitzm engineered the VIEWS system, delivering major capabilities including:
- Defined a digital roadmap for delivering extensive new capabilities to the Views application.
- Digitised work order management.
- Digitised workforce procedures such as on-site auditing, inspection data capture, review and approval procedures.
- Developed an ERP-integrated Time Tracking capability.
- Integrated work defect and issue resolution capabilities.Remote workforce notifications via mobile push and SMS services.
- Migration of the system to a highly-available cloud-hosted environment.
- Significant digital security system and access management (such as the implementation of a single sign-on solution).
- Enhanced the reporting system ETL solution to enable real-time reporting on whole-of-business operational status.
- Migrated the entire web system to a platform-agnostic framework (to .NET Core).
- Implemented IaC and containerisation of the system for Kubernetes hosting.
- Implemented extensive monitoring and reporting on system service status.
- Coordinated parallel delivery of major system capabilities and BAU maintenance/support activities.

A solution for better talent visibility.
Fisher Leadership helps organisations recruit highly qualified leaders, including CEOs and top-level executives.
Fisher Leadership wanted to solve two key problems; speeding up their process of matching ideal candidates, and helping clients recruit for more diversity in leadership roles.
The AVI tool helps the recruitment team identify any gaps that a client may have within their leadership team so that the new recruit brings greater diversity to the table – this may include their experience, personal leadership style, creative or analytical skills, cultural background, gender, age, and more.
Blitzm’s ability to work with complex data processing and database modelling, as well as our UX and UI expertise, made us the perfect candidate to create a powerful solution that would align with the design expectations of high-value clients. Our solution pulls a diverse set of data points into an elegant dashboard, with intuitive administration features.

Digitising log management processes
VicForests is a State-owned business responsible for the harvest, commercial sale and re-growing of timber from Victoria's State forests on behalf of the Government.
Blitzm Systems was engaged to help VicForrest modernise its operations through the development of two custom applications; ‘Logit’ and ‘Dockit’. These applications aimed to digitise their log management processes in order to make it easier for administrative staff to manage and update data, as well as streamline the record-keeping of log delivery drivers.
Prior to the project, VicForrest relied on a lot of paper-based processes, as well as a legacy application that captured some of the information required for Logit. Our solution provided VicForests with the opportunity to future-proof their digital processes and ensure greater long-term maintainability.
Application features:
Logit records detailed information required to manage their logging operations, such as; the quality and length of each log, who will complete the cutting, which log should be delivered to each customer, when it has been delivered to the driver, and the weight of the truck, etc. The application utilises QR codes and barcodes to capture information, which improves workflows, reduces errors, and provides an intuitive experience for all users.
Logit also enables VicForests to connect to every device through the mobile application, in order to get data and/or troubleshoot. This is a critical feature due to their remote workforce, and in the event a device fails VicForests is still able to access the data on that device.
Dockit digitises the paper trails between the loggers, drivers, and customers. The app enables drivers to scan QR codes to confirm when they’ve picked up and then delivered logs. This project was secondary to the Logit development, however, VicForests decided to accelerate their timeline and increase the scope of work due to Covid, which highlighted the importance of modernising their operations.

A web app to view OMX’s surgical prosthetics.
OMX Solutions specializes in the design and manufacture of world-class surgical devices, engineered to transform surgery and the lives of patients.
Blitzm built a complete web app for patients and surgeons to view OMX Solution’s suite of surgical prosthetics products and services. The collaborative app enables manufacturers and surgeons to design custom prosthetics for their patients.
The project required solving a complicated problem: How can surgeons design custom prosthetics that are accurate enough to be used in surgery? Blitzm created a web-based 3D editing tool that covered the entire process, from the initial order through to the delivery of the prosthetic.
An efficient phased project delivery:
In the first phase, a software prototype was developed to demonstrate the core functionality. This phase focused on the ability to visualise and edit medical CT scan data within an interactive 3D web portal. This utilised the industry-standard data that surgeons already had available. The prototype allowed the surgeons to upload a CT scan; slice and shift the model to imitate the upcoming surgery; and design the shape, measurements and placement of the custom prosthetics.
Design and development:
We applied continuous integration and continuous delivery technology to deliver frequent iterations of the web portal throughout development. A full ordering workflow was developed, so a surgeon could manage their custom prosthetic completely within the web application.
Project outcomes:
- The app provided OMX Solutions with a platform to grow their business, vertically integrating product sales with an online design process and cutting edge manufacturing technology.
- Integrated an online product ordering system, providing further growth opportunities.
- Streamlined the design communication process, closing the feedback loop between surgeons and engineers.
- The new web app enabled OMX to scale internationally.
