What was the scope of their involvement?
The collaboration started with the technical issues we were having on the site, namely broken links. It has evolved into BlinkJar Media being a digital marketing/media partner for us. We first reached out for help with getting the site to function at its full capacity. They helped us with SEO and, from there, we expanded the scope to include online search campaigns and efforts related to enhancing our presence. That included paid and organic search, Facebook adverts, blogging on our web page, and online reviews. They help us to drive traffic to the site and improve our ranking position.
We’re also putting in place some workflows for patients coming to our site, who are interested in securing an appointment or learning more. We capture their information and stay in contact, hopefully converting them.
Finally, in terms of video production, we did our first piece a month ago: a commercial which will primarily be used for TV, but also online. It's a traditional 30-second spot for general branding. BlinkJar helped with scripting and on-site production. The launch is coming up and the whole process has been smooth.
What is the team dynamic?
The process is collaborative. BlinkJar is new to us so we guide them and help them provide content so that we can arrive at what we’re looking for together. We are certainly asking a lot of questions, and getting help from them, while also providing what they need to execute the work in the best way possible.
We have weekly calls during which we discuss project updates and statuses. I’ve been in communication with around 5 people from BlinkJar. We go over a content calendar and work together with their team to make sure that any social media content being created is in-line with our focus. BlinkJar also write many of the new blog posts, but under our direction. They’re helping us build a microsite within the main site, and we’re working together on content for it.
How did you come to work with BlinkJar Media?
They were referred to us by a medical partner our company has a strong working relationship. I found out that she had done some work with BlinkJar, though to a lesser extent than we now have.
I also knew one of the owners from a previous job. We had a long initial meeting which made me confident that they were knowledgeable and honest. I’d had some previous bad experiences with an agency but after meeting with the BlinkJar team, I felt good about the partner they could be to us.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working with BlinkJar Media around June 2016.
