A feature-length, branded content was created in collaboration with Trend Micro. This sci-fi web series directed by Wojtek Jezowski is based on original research on the evolution of technology and cybercrime by Dr. Victoria Baines and Rik Ferguson.

Apex One
Working metaphorically, we superimposed a flow of good and bad from a company’s computer network onto their own busy 3D city layout for Trend micro Created in the blink of a shifty bloke’s eye.

XGen
X-Gen is a series of short, action films designed to be screened in a small cinema at a Trend Micro booth during the most significant IT security trade shows.
The films parody some of the classic science-fiction tropes and themes. They tell the story of the heroic starship crew led by Captain Rickard that boldly go… ;)
We're most proud to have successfully woven Trend Micro's solutions and philosophy into the plot. Everything that happens on screen or that the crew does is based on the client's technology and how it works, from revealing unknown threats, and identifying their weak points, to protecting the ship's infrastructure.
The first film had epic space battles and explosions, while the second took place in dark, creepy caverns with slimy egg things and swarms of aliens.
We had lots of fun and from what we've heard, so did our client's customers.

Data Center Attack: The Game
Data Center Attack: The Game is a “choose your own adventure” video experience where each decision you make impacts the story, relations with other characters, and future choices.
It was created to engage mid and upper-level IT security managers and give them a broader perspective of the cybercrime landscape.
To make this 15-minute movie, we filmed 60 minutes of footage and combined it in our proprietary software into over 80 individual storylines with four unique endings.

I am the Vice President Security Research at Trend Micro, an internet security leader. I am responsible for the creation and promotion of thought-leadership content globally.
For what projects/services did your company hire Black Rabbit, and what were your goals?
Project 2030 started life as a lengthy white paper, envisaging the world of 2030, all of the societal, behavioural and technological changes. The challenge was to turn this research into an asset that would have a wider appeal beyond our traditional audience. We engaged Black Rabbit to create a web series based on this research.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We looked for video production companies with a proven track record in creating ground-breaking content at "Netflix quality" levels.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.
We started by identifying the most important points from the white paper and then designing a potential story arc that incorporated them. We then worked together on storyboarding and scriptwriting. Black Rabbit involved us closely in all aspects of casting and location scouting and we were able to be present on set during the several days of shooting. We had the chance to provide feedback throughout the entire post-production process also, ensuring quality goals were met and often exceeded.
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
We worked with a project manager for the administrative aspects of the project and directly with the creative team on the rest. Feedback was a very organic, bi-directional, and inclusive process.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The resulting web-series has re dived very positive media reviews and has already won multiple industry awards.

The project management is a day to day process and not defined by rigid structure. Feedback was regularly sought and received in a spirit of cooperation
