For what projects/services did your company hire Black Production Films?
Fashion brands in Pakistan have been using age old marketing techniques or creatives to portray their brands. Also, in 2014 there weren't a lot of 'Active wear' brands in Pakistan so we wanted to have a strong marketing campaign that will deliver our product message in a way not done in Pakistan before.
What were your goals for this project?
To portray our brand as Active wear rather than just another fashion brand with the same old marketing creatives used by hundreds of other brands. I wanted to make sure that our ads stood out in terms of how our clothing can be used in real life applications - in a stylized way.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor?
I had known the owner personally and had looked at the work they had been doing with reputable clients. My initial discussion with the owner was positive as he was able to grasp my vision and translate that into ads that aligned with what I had in mind. Costs were also an important factor but the pricing was very appropriate for the work I sought
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail.
I presented Black Production Films with my idea only and left the execution to them. My idea was to portray Jayqeu as a 'rebellious' active wear brand where we will depict real life situations where the subject wearing our clothing is rebelling, positively, from societal norms. I had multiple sittings with the owner and his team to plan out all the scenes and the message that we want to come out of our ads. I was shown some sample/reference work to illustrate what the video might look like and we used that to tailor to our brand and messaging.
What was your vendors' project management or feedback process?
I had been in close contact during and after the shoot. I was also allowed to get involved in the post-production stages to share my input and get the results I wanted. Very important to me was adherence to schedule and I trusted Black Productions Films and I must say that they were very good with running the whole project on time and on budget - to the $
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
I think the best testament to this project was when we noticed some competing brands change their marketing photography and videos in a manner which was obviously very similar to ours. From a business perspective, the launch was very well received and people did engage with us as an active wear brand
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Communication was very fluid and I was kept updated on where they were at with pre, post production. We did not use any tools other than basic email, phone communication to keep track of the progress
What did you find most impressive about this company?
When I work with an agency, my sole criteria for choosing one (within reasonable costs) is for an agency that are creative and willing to take risks with their projects. As an entrepreneur who likes to take risks with design of his products, I like working with partners who have the same element of creative freedom in their thought.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Even with hindsight I don't think I would have asked for anything to be done differently. Creatives were on point, cost was mutually agreeable, timeline was adhered to. That's the 3 things that matter to me so I cannot think of anything I would have liked to change.

We wanted authenticity, and we wanted the videographer to determine what was most culturally relevant.

After a search process, I determined that Zeshan was the most committed, and had the best communication skills for what the project required.

We selected topics and explained the technical requirements of the deliverables. I needed regular updates on progress, but scripting, casting, and all production arrangements were made by Zeshan.

We asked for updates and scheduled the deliverables. they were all met.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We felt that out of maybe 30 videographers all over the world hired for this project, that these were among the two or three best series of videos made.
