BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the COO and treasurer of Small Business Consulting Inc., an accounting and business consulting firm. I connect clients with the people that they need to talk to.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with BizIQ?

We needed to hire a website managing firm to take care of SEO. We wanted to have generalized business marketing reports based on our Google My Business profile.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

BizIQ provides website marketing services. We’ve written content as a team; they write some of it, and we edit it and go back and forth. They’ve created a few iterations of our current website, adding pages and changing things. Recently, they revamped our site to have more transition animations.

What is the team composition?

We’ve gone through a couple of account managers. Jared (Team Lead) is currently our main point of contact.

How did you come to work with BizIQ?

We’ve been working with them for as long as I’ve been here. My grandfather got in touch with them, but I’m unsure how.

How much have you invested with them?

We pay $300 a month, so we’ve spent over $10,000 throughout three years.

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve had a relationship with BizIQ since January 2019.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve definitely seen an increase in our SEO and the number of hits we get on our website since we started working with them. We’re on the first page of Google for a few keywords that include our area, so we’re happy with the improvement.

How did BizIQ perform from a project management standpoint?

We mainly communicate through phone calls. Additionally, they use video conferencing.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They listen to the customer, and the account managers are good at what they do. Moreover, the team is friendly, and working with them is nice.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve the connection between the web developer and the account manager. Often, there’s a disconnect between what we tell the account manager and what’s actually happening with the developer.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The best way to get the most out of the engagement, specifically on website development, is to find what you like. Give them examples of different websites to create a good finished product.
