What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Our number of users has grown over time, with several thousand people worldwide using the application they've developed. Additionally, the sales opportunities that we've gained because of the features that they've created have been excellent too.
How did Biz4Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?
They did a good job of communicating when they needed to. This project required a lot of back and forth because it involved their developers working with some of our in-house developers on the same projects, and that’s been very successful. We used a couple of pieces of CRM, but for the most part, we’ve used virtual conferences where we give them specific deliverables and guidelines and other various formats.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We've been impressed by their ability to step up, take on a project that requires multiple resources with various skillsets, and deliver end results in a short timeframe. Biz4Solutions has a pretty good depth of both modern and legacy skillsets that we’ve been able to utilize.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I think this challenge is not unique to our specific company, but working across different timezones — it can help to have some wider availability. From our customer expectations’ standpoint, they always want things right away. However, the different timezone means if we find out an issue in the middle of the night and none of us know about it, we won’t be able to address it until they get to work the next day. I’m not sure if that’s a complaint about anything specific to them, but it’s a challenge for development companies to work in different time zones than their customers while trying to meet their expectations.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They need to have a clear idea of what the company themselves want to define versus what the developers should create on their own. Oftentimes, people — especially those without a strong background in technology or software — know they want something but they can't visualize it or describe necessarily which features go on which page and describe how they want to expand it in the future.
All of those things affect how the developer designs the app. If the developer is not given any guidelines, they have to create or make assumptions of their own. Overall, the more specific a company can be, the more tools the developer has to deliver exactly what their vision entails.

Project managers remain in constant communication and provide confirmation of inquiry and frequent updates. With so many moving parts of a business, it is a breath of fresh air to have that type of professionalism. Senior profiles are created through a series of different tabs, pages, and fields—information that we gathered while researching the steps case managers would typically take to determine what type of care was needed. The same is true on the caregiver side—we had to implement their responsibilities in the app, as well.
We’re currently working on another version of the app to address some issues we see with profiles. The next phase of the app will incorporate 24-hour service.

We initially had a team of three designers, nine or 10 developers, and two QA and project management resources. Both corporate and technical management often joined our calls. As the project has matured, developers and project management have remained involved. Upper management is always immediately accessible.

Over three years of work, Biz4Solutions LLC has never missed a deadline. They do the hard work of growth and product enhancement, allowing us to focus on sales and marketing.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
It's much like working with our own employees. Daily Skype calls, shared files, and file-sharing cloud services help communication flow. They closely manage and document our project to meet deadlines. Employees who are already familiar with our project cycle in and out of the team, based on our current needs.
I usually send a daily email with special needs, requests, or questions. I'm completely confident that they will address all my items by our next call. They're amazing and efficient!

Biz4Solutions LLC has a large, talented pool of employees that can provide any skillset I need. However, they're still small enough to personally attend to the details of my project.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Every long project hits speed bumps, but we've never had a problem that Biz4Solutions LLC didn't remedy immediately. Perhaps more impressively, they've never repeated the same mistake twice! When they say they will handle an issue, they genuinely handle it once and for all.
