Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm a marketing manager at a mid-sized software development agency.
For what projects/services did your company hire Bitsens | Creative Digital Agency?
We needed a vendor to redesign our company website.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We found them through recommendations. We heard good things about Bitsens, so we reached out to them.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We hired Bitsens to redesign our website. As the primary source for driving inbound leads, our website is very important in telling our company story and highlighting our services. The design hadn't been updated for a long time, and the pages lacked consistent structure.
We needed an agency that could refresh not only the look and feel of our website but also increase its conversion rates. We met with Bitsens for a series of virtual discussions on the project scope and presented some of our initial ideas. Then we met weekly to review progress and discuss wireframes and concepts. In the end, they designed a simple but effective and modern website.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked with a team from Bitsens, including a project manager and two designers. All team members were extremely competent, efficient, and talented.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Our board and our internal team are highly satisfied with the design that Bitsens created. The website was completely modernized and conversion rates has increased.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
We used Slack for communication, so our team could stay up-to-date with the progress. Their design team is very competent, and our project manager is responsive and professional.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their entire team communicated well and was great to work with. Even when we didn't have a clear idea of what we wanted, they came up with different suggestions and gave us exactly what we needed.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No. We’ve enjoyed working with them.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Nika Lo is an art and business-oriented project created by Veronika Kopelianski specializing in furniture and interior design. I’m involved in a project as a marketing manager.
For what projects/services did your company hire Bitsens | Creative Digital Agency?
We’ve been looking for a digital agency which provides clients with website development from scratch. Among all candidates, Bitsens has shown a great potential and a deep expertise through a professionally prepared proposal where we’ve finally found common ground.
What were your goals for this project?
We needed a corporate website for a Nika Lo project with a capturing design layout reflecting artistic intentions and market orientation.
How did you select this vendor?
It’s our first corporate website and we cared a lot about the project’s workflow, price and, obviously, a final result. Our criteria for choosing a vendor were simple but strict: 5+ years of extensive expertise in web development, wide and professional portfolio, positive client’s reviews and reasonable pricing. Bitsens fits them all.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
We had a kick-off meeting with the agency’s representative. Bitsens prepared wireframes, UX prototype, UI design and finally, their developers programmed the whole website as discussed.
What was the team composition?
The project team was wide and encompassed 7 specialists in UI&UX, web development and project management areas.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
Bitsens delivered a great result that we as well as our users and customers enjoy a lot. Many of our clients have already expressed their excitement about simplicity and clarity in the navigation system of the website.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
The most impressive Bitsens’s side is their organizational and professional approach towards project management. Their transparent communication made us aware of the project’s progress at each step and financial expenditures. The budget didn’t require any additional discussions since everything was done as planned.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Except from perfect and exceptional project management skills Bitsens’s team possesses, we were really surprised and satisfied with their stunning interface design and abilities to catch the core idea of our project and reflect it in the way we intended to.
Are there any areas for improvement?
Frankly speaking, the website we’ve got as a result is exactly what we’ve been looking for. Highly responsible Bitsens’s specialists delivered outstanding digital product for Nika Lo project that doesn’t require any improvements.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder and managing partner of a consulting boutique that focuses on improving complex and distributed product development and systems engineering. We operate mainly out of Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and France.
What challenge were you trying to address with Bitsens?
From a new concept design to implementation and operations, we needed a partner to lead a total relaunch of our website.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Our old site was designed by our internal team, and it was quite complex for the user to find things. Our goal was to streamline our complex content and layout to make the site easier to use. We also hoped the redesign would make it simpler for us to update the site in the future. We asked Bitsens to take on both the front- and backend of the site, requiring a simple presentation with a complex background. It was also critical that they make the site mobile responsive, as our last site was not well equipped to handle mobile users and that it has multi-lingual support.
Before they completely overhauled and redesigned our company website, we both made sure that they understand the scope of the work. They had us fill out a questionnaire to help us define our needs. From there, using prototyping, they finally built a custom WordPress site using various plug-ins tailored specifically for our purposes, incorporated translations and SEO in the process. After their designs were complete, we released the site in stages, testing and collecting feedback throughout the process.
What is the team composition?
I had two main points of contact, one being a project manager, but there were many team members working in the background. For instance, there was a UI/UX designer, frontend professional, backend developer, server specialists for integrations, and quality assurance personnel.
How did you come to work with Bitsens?
I was looking for a partner in Lithuania, so I started with a web search using that location preference. I found some references and decided to engage Bitsens. In our early discussions, they understood the workflow I desired and seemed to be looking for a longer-term partnership. From the start, our goals were similar.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our work together started in May 2017. We’ve released progressive phases in April 2018, July 2018, September 2018, and January 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We got great feedback from users on the frontend. It’s been purely positive. People have praised the new site for its clarity and how easy it is to find information. They also stayed within our budget. We never needed to re-discuss the budget with them. They always kept to evaluated budget—sometimes I am sure they needed more but they never put pressure on us. They truly wanted to do the best they could with our project.
How did Bitsens perform from a project management standpoint?
We used a collaboration tool called monday to streamline our communications. It made our workflow very dynamic—we only needed to make about three calls a year. Everything could be handled through online communication, which showcased their project management abilities. In our collaboration, we managed close to 500 small tasks, and they were able to pull it off.
What did you find most impressive about them?
When there were issues, they were diligent about finding the root cause of them. I appreciate their direct communication, consciousness of our budget, and positive attitudes. They were extremely reactive and got things done. All in all, I’ve never doubted our decision to hire them. In fact, I’ve recommended them to others because of their awesome, professional work.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The only things I could criticize them for aren’t even worth mentioning. It’s peanuts given the overall scope of their work.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
Be open, direct, and clear in setting expectations. They know what they’re doing on the design side, so be sure to listen to their input.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I’m a junior marketing manager at Iamus. We’re an IoT solution company.
For what projects/services did your company hire Bitsens?
We needed to develop a new website and refresh our logo design.
What were your goals for this project?
We set out to develop a visually appealing website that powerfully conveyed our brand identity, product, and services. Ultimately, it had to serve as an effective inbound marketing tool.
How did you select this vendor?
We interviewed several marketing agencies that offered their services. Bitsens impressed us with their previous work, client-centered attitude, and transparent pricing (the latter being a major advantage over other candidates).
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
First, they gave our logo a facelift and selected a new corporate color. Then, they handled the entire web design and development process, from defining our overall narrative structure and providing marketing copy to defining the number and nature of pages the site would have. End-to-end development followed.
What was the team composition?
We were assigned a project manager, through whom we communicated about all aspects of the project.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
The new logo and website visuals are a solid foundation for further identity development. The website is fresh, modern, clean, and inviting. We’re happy with the result, especially considering our modest budget.
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
Our method of communication varied based on our goal. We used Trello to track progress and exchange assets, telegram for direct communication between project managers, Skype for group calls, and email for official documentation. They were professional, timely, and transparent at every stage of the project. Despite some major difficulties that arose from unforeseen circumstances, Bitsens was steadfast in their attention to requests and dedication to the project.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Their transparent communication and attentiveness to our preferences were outstanding.
Are there any areas for improvement?
The final prototype’s testing period revealed some substantive bugs (e.g. disappearance of content) when displayed on certain mobile devices and resolutions. Perhaps internal website testing could be more thorough. All the bugs were quickly addressed, however.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the former CTO of Clumeo. We created an administrative tool that caters to sports clubs but is still useful for a variety of organizations.
What challenge were you trying to address with Bitsens?
We noticed a gap in the market for this type of administrative tool in Denmark, so we came up with the idea for the platform. We hired Bitsens as our frontend development partner for the project.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Bitsens helped us design the frontend of the platform using the ASP.NET MVC framework and Angular technology for additional features. The interface is accessible on both mobile and desktop devices. The team implemented a payment module that allows users to pay for their sports club membership. There’s also a social networking component and several other administrative functions.
What is the team composition?
We started with one main point of contact, who was one of Bitsens’ co-founders. Soon, we were put in touch with another co-founder who helped us with any questions or concerns about our account and invoices. We only interacted with the developers through a project management software. One of my co-workers and I assigned them tasks through the tool.
How did you come to work with Bitsens?
We searched through Upwork and shortlisted a handful of companies. We interviewed each, and Bitsens was the best fit. Even though they were a bit more expensive, they seemed to offer the most extensive skill set.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $150,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked with them on this initiative from August 2015–January 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their work was instrumental to our business. Bitsens took care of the platform’s entire frontend. They were in charge of everything the user sees, and they delivered a high-quality final product.
How did Bitsens perform from a project management standpoint?
There were a few minor bumps along the way, but I was very satisfied with their work ethic and communication skills in the end. We used two separate project management systems, so we created each task in our tool and copied them into the Bitsens team's tool.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We most appreciated Bitsens’ ability to scale quickly. We always had one developer assigned to the project, but if we ever needed more resources, they were able to grow the team. Even on short notice, they went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. On a few occasions, we didn’t have time to assign a task properly or fully describe it, but they still delivered what we wanted. If there were ever something missing, they would reach out with questions to clarify.
Are there any areas they could improve?
The language barrier is a bit of a challenge. We had some trouble understanding the questions posed by their developers.
Any advice for potential customers?
Any company looking to outsource should assign their own internal project manager to lead the project and delegate tasks. We had two resources in place to handle this, and it really benefitted our project.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the head of production at Play2Live. We’re building an international platform dedicated to promoting different gaming projects, media, and bloggers. We’ve launched in late 2018 are currently doing digital campaigns to onboard new users.
What challenge were you trying to address with Bitsens?
We approached Bitsens to create a series of media landing pages that would help drive site traffic from various sources like Facebook and Google Ads. The pages would range in functionality, from media integration and call-to-action buttons to user forms for email blasts.
What was the scope of their involvement?
For the initial project, they developed about 7–8 landing pages to support our gaming site. They handled the backend and worked with us to implement our designs. On the frontend, we used PHP and JavaScript.
The main page featured an integrated video player that could display media in multiple languages. We used the page to stream an international gaming championship in four languages, including English, Russian, French, and Polish. After setting up the player, they provided staff to monitor the pages and address any technical issues in real time.
Bitsens also created landing pages for our registrations forms and email signups. Based on the data collected, we could provide more targeted marketing campaigns and content. Now, the team is working on other projects, including a CRM system, a mobile app, and more pages.
What is the team composition?
I primarily work with Alex (Co-Founder & Media Producer, Bitsens). During the project, he handled the project management, liaising between us and the development team.
How did you come to work with Bitsens?
I’d already worked with some of their team members on my previous website, so I had a good idea of their skill set. After getting in touch with them, we moved forward with our project.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent about $10,000–$50,000 so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
Their work started in late 2016, and we’re still collaborating with them for other development projects.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Overall, the pages worked well. Although there were some minor bugs, the team sorted them out quickly and were willing to work additional hours during critical times. During the tournament weekends, Alex supported us with QA specialists on our key landing pages to make sure that everything worked properly. They were responsive, and always ready to help.
How did Bitsens perform from a project management standpoint?
We use Trello and Asana to coordinate our projects, which allows our c-level management to access our communications and review task status. In terms of communication, we speak through Skype, phone, messages, and email. Alex is my main contact for any questions or issues.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Flexibility is their main strength. Because our environment is constantly changing, they’re always prepared to modify the plan even if we haven’t discussed it during the initial stages. The team adapts their processes to fit our design and development needs. I’m particularly impressed with their design and frontend capabilities.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can't think of any.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the commercial director of a startup mobile solution for small hotels, B&Bs, and apartment rentals.
What challenge were you trying to address with Bitsens?
We had an in-house mobile application team, but needed an external vendor to build our web app.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Bitsens developed the web app using .NET. The team designed the UI and created APIs for third-party property booking vendors. They also set up APIs to connect the solution to our preexisting iOS and Android app.
What is the team composition?
The five-person team comprised a manager, three developers, and a QA specialist.
How did you come to work with Bitsens?
We considered seven local vendors including Bitsens. During the interview, the team proposed the best and most cost-effective solution. We also approved of the timeline and cost estimates.
How much have you invested with them?
We spent around $30,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in May 2017 and the project ended in January 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We earned a new investor after the contact reviewed the code via two consulting agencies. We received very positive feedback from those firms.
How did Bitsens perform from a project management standpoint?
The team provided detailed estimates and milestones. They also implemented regular checkpoints throughout the 12-month process. Overall, Bitsens’ perfect communication and project management skills impressed us. We communicated via email, Skype, and phone.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their project management distinguished them from our past partners. We called Bitsens whenever something went wrong and the team fixed the issue.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, I can’t think of anything.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the retail director at a company that produces, wholesales, and retails toys and games for children. I am in charge of the Lithuanian retail subdivision.
What challenge were you trying to address with Bitsens?
Bitsens developed our e-shop. It was also the corporate website for the Lithuanian retail subdivision. It was a challenge to have an e-shop website that combines information about the company and the offline stores. We needed to show helpful information for clients while having a fully functional e-shop. It was pretty hard.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They made a project of the website with the schemes of the pages. It showed how to split the site into two parts: one for the e-shop and one for the information about the company. They made the schemes of the website and the design and then programmed it. Now, they provide services when we need to update something or change a little bit. The website is on WordPress, and it has an additional plug-in to organize the e-shop.
How did you come to work with Bitsens?
They made another website for our company's other office. My colleagues were satisfied. When I was looking for a vendor to make this e-shop, I found a couple of companies. I compared the prices and the solutions that they offered. Then, I chose the best in terms of price and recommendations. I liked their idea about how we can organize the two parts of the website.
How much have you invested with Bitsens?
In total, we spent between €4,000 and €5,000 [approximately $4,500 and $5,600] on this project.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project took about two months from the very beginning until the website was launched. We started somewhere in August [2015]. In October or at the beginning of November, we downloaded the products and launched the website. We are still working with Bitsens for support. Now, they're doing some changes in the website.
Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?
I'm not sure I have any metrics, but when we ordered some SEO [search engine optimization] updates this year, we had good feedback about our website. The back-end part was organized pretty well for SEO. We didn't really have to change much to update it this year, so that can also talk about their effectiveness. From the very beginning, we had good rates, which means the structure that we chose was pretty good.
How did Bitsens perform from a project management standpoint?
Bitsens responds quickly. They're usually helpful with trying to find a solution for their clients. For me, it was helpful that they are multi-language. It was easy to communicate because we have an international team here. It was helpful for us that there were managers who could speak different languages.
What did you find most impressive about Bitsens?
When we met Bitsens, we didn't have an idea for how they could organize the site. It was a problem we needed to solve, and they found a solution for us. I think if we have another website we need to do, I would also go to them. There's nothing else outstanding that I can mention.
Are there any areas Bitsens could improve?
We were satisfied with the project and with the cooperation we have now. I don't have so much experience with this. If I had something to compare, I would have more comments but, at the moment, that's the only one. It's my only experience.
Bitsens | Creative Digital Agency delivered a simple but modern-looking website that led to an increase in the site's conversion rates. Competent and responsive, they communicated well and provided regular updates. Their valuable insights and professionalism made them incredible to work with.
