Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the co-founder and principal of Mole Street and Mole Street Artists. The first is a digital marketing agency, the second an entertainment booking company.

We needed outsourced accounting services.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We use Frank (Managing Member) and his team in a bunch of ways. They’re not only handling our tax and accounting needs but also acting as an outsourced controller. They managed our accounts payable and account receivable, help us with cash management, and monitor in real time how we spend our resources.

What is the team composition?

We work with Frank and Jesse (Associate), who’s our account manager.

How did you come to work with Bilardo & Associates LLC?

We’ve been outsourcing our accounting since we first started our company in 2011. We had another service provider before Bilardo & Associates LLC, but we were referred to Frank through one of our advisors, who was in the financial services space.

One of the reasons we really like working with them is because Frank owned some retail businesses before he became a full-time accountant. Bilardo & Associates LLC understands the challenges that small business owners face firsthand, from getting a line of credit to having to change salaries based on cash flow.

How much have you invested with them?

We spend about $18,000 per year.

What is the status of this engagement?

The partnership started in April 2016 and is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

When it comes to submitting invoices, setting up recurring payments, everything insurance-related, you name it, he’s been a reliable partner for us.

How did Bilardo & Associates LLC perform from a project management standpoint?

We keep in touch once a week, emailing back and forth. We even created an email account for their team under our company domain.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their flexibility stands out to us. They’re small and hands-on enough that they can take feedback when we can ask them to make a change. They’re not too rigid that they can’t adapt: they’ve seen it all. When we work together, Bilardo & Associates LLC feels like the adult in the room.

We also like the fact that their team is local. We can send them checks to deposit for us. We could get support and analysis from other people, but the fact that they’re located near our headquarters means we can run over there if need be.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I’m happy with his team. They’re always striving to improve.
