Bigtrunk Communications was our end-to-end digital campaign partner.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Bigtrunk Communications developed our digital campaigns and paid promotions; I worked with them on several projects. They provided us with pre-, inter-, and post-launch services. Most of their work was on social media via Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Their team developed specific creative assets for our campaigns.

We worked with their account manager, and I had a good relationship with the agency's owner.

We invested around $1 million.

I worked with Bigtrunk Communications from January 2016–May 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We used standard KPIs we’d used with other digital marketing agencies: social media engagement, cost per view (CPV), cost per thousand, and cost per click (CPC). For the other campaigns on web platforms, we measured overall performance. 

How did Bigtrunk Communications perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team provided us with campaign analysis and post-campaign reports. Bigtrunk Communications was responsive and met deadlines. Typically, we communicated through emails, text messages, WhatsApp, and phone calls. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Bigtrunk Communications was extremely professional. They showed a lot of care for their clients — going the extra mile to provide education about their work on digital marketing platforms. Before working with them, I had very little knowledge about digital marketing, but after working with Bigtrunk Communications, I became a semi-expert in it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they did a fantastic job. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d advise customers to engage with them closely. Bigtrunk Communications drives the engagement but needs the customer to work alongside them.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We reached out to them after seeing their work across a mall from the same industry. Their team, clients, work and competitive cost were the deciding factors.

Being a part of the retail industry, having a strong digital presence is imperative. BigTrunk helped us enhance our presence, through their skilled team. After an initial meet, they got back to us with a thorough SWOT analysis. Due to their expertise, the transition from our previous agency to BigTrunk, was a cakewalk. It's been close to 3 years, they maintain the same level of professionalism & zeal while dealing with the brand.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

In just 6 months, they doubled our followers on Facebook. They helped us launch our Twitter & YouTube pages too.

A monthly plan followed by a weekly post calendar is shared. All of these align with the mall's campaign communication.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their overall expertise has impressed us massively. They've been able to get Xperia Mall to the TOM of our audience.

We needed help with digital marketing campaigns.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They help with all digital marketing efforts like running Google Ad campaigns and third-party campaigns for lead generation. They also do creatives globally. They’ve run LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads, Facebook Ads, remarketing campaigns, and SEO campaigns.

In terms of design, they’ve helped with campaign banners, Google Ads campaign banners, and display marketing ads.

When we want to launch a new campaign, we give them a brief about the campaign, budget, requirement, and our target audience. They come up with a campaign plan of which platforms we need to use. Accordingly, they design a landing page, and we give them creatives and ad copies. After that, they launch the campaign for us.

There’s one account manager and 4–5 other people.

They were referred to me in the past and had helped with Google Ads and social media management for an e-commerce platform where I was head of digital marketing.

We started working together in June 2017, and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Over time, they’ve done more than 60 campaigns. We do lead gen campaigns every year. They always exceed those numbers they promise. There’s a conversion of around 23%. The lead conversion around unqualified leads to prequalified leads is about 20%.

Prequalified leads to opportunities is set around 5–7%. I found them to be very supportive, flexible, and approachable. They make suggestions on what will work and won’t work.

How did Bigtrunk Communications Pvt Ltd perform from a project management standpoint?

Their team is always helpful. If my team is immensely loaded with work and we don’t have time to do creative stuff, they’ve helped us with that as well.

They meet their deadlines most of the time. They even work on weekends if it’s required. We primarily communicate through email and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re quick to respond. Their team is very accommodating, willing to work on things out of scope as well. They go above and beyond to provide what we want and to meet the deadlines.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing I’d have them improve. They were good the majority of the time.

We had invited multiple SEO agencies to present their pitch and evaluated them technically. Bigtrunk presentation and the strategy was good and hence they were selected for the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Aster Labs was a new website and hardly had any organic traffic. With the work done by bigtrunk now we are ranking on top for many competitive keywords and our website is seeing a good growth in organic traffic every month.
