I’m one of the partners at Internos, a technology company in the small business space. We primarily work within the professional services, legal, and accounting industries, but part of our clients also include manufacturing and logistics companies.
We act as an IT department for companies that might not have an in-house IT department or expert, providing all the services an internal IT department would, including system infrastructure and management. We also help with cybersecurity and business process alignment. In my role, I lead our business development and client management efforts.

What was the scope of their involvement?
BigOrange.Marketing first helped us develop and design our website and its look and feel from scratch in WordPress. During this process, they focused on improving our content and messaging. Since they delivered the website, we’ve been working with them on marketing and SEO so that prospective clients can organically find our site.
As for the website’s main features, BigOrange.Marketing did a HubSpot integration very early in the process. Thanks to this feature, users can easily book a meeting with us through the website. This feature is a call to action, so it’s readily available. Moreover, BigOrange.Marketing has integrated a feature that allows users to reach out to us via text messages.
In regards of BigOrange.Marketing’s SEO work, we’ve worked closely with them to establish our main keywords, also leveraging long-tail keywords to improve our organic traffic. Their team also helps us write custom blogs.
Sometimes, BigOrange.Marketing writes the initial drafts; other times, we provide them with those drafts, and they write the content based on those. Still, we provide them with our input for every content piece, such as the context, the parameters, and some case studies that we’ve done.
In addition to those services, BigOrange.Marketing has helped us with our social media marketing (SMM). They manage our social media posting for LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook every month, launching different content pieces to keep our communication relevant.

Emelia (Director of Project Management) is our main point of contact. Still, whenever we have strategic planning meetings, Margee (President & CEO) joins the conversation. What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The biggest result I’ve seen since working with BigOrange.Marketing is that our organic traffic and organic keywords have grown a lot. Although it took about 3–6 months to see results, we saw that our organic keywords and traffic had almost doubled after the sixth month. We’ve also seen steady growth in our social media metrics, such as likes and followers, especially on LinkedIn.

BigOrange.Marketing definitely meets our deadlines and sticks to a process. We have monthly virtual calls with Emelia to follow up on the process. Still, they adjust the schedule accordingly when needed. Moreover, they’re always available to address anything that comes up.

We were trying to increase our reach and professionalism, have a nicer website, have better collateral, and find better ways to do outreach to our target audience. Therefore, we hired BigOrange.Marketing to help us out.

What was the scope of their involvement?
BigOrange.Marketing has helped us do a complete refresh of our website, developing it from scratch in WordPress. Among our main requirements, we wanted our new website to look modern and make us look like a bigger company than we were before.
From a framework standpoint, we wanted our website to have a homepage and 4–5 folds underneath that told our story. We also requested a banner at the top of the homepage with a new logo and dropdown menus featuring 4–5 different sections, such as a leadership page and a services section. BigOrange.Marketing has built a landing page for each section.
BigOrange.Marketing has also helped us develop a brand board, which has included defining our branding down to the logo and colors we should be using. During this process, they interviewed 1–2 clients to understand our target audience and help us refine our ideal client profile. Ultimately, they built our brand story around their findings so that we could reach our constituents and target clients more effectively.
In addition to the branding itself, BigOrange.Marketing has helped us apply our new branding to new collateral, proposal templates, business cards, promotional products, and other assets to populate our new website. Moreover, they’ve helped us implement SEO tactics within the site, such as embedding the right keywords.
Now, BigOrange.Marketing helps us on an ongoing basis with SEO analytics, data tracking, and overall management of the whole process behind SEO and organic traffic to help us keep our traffic increasing. Additionally, they’ve also helped us with social media marketing (SMM), creating a social media presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest, and ensuring that all pages are registered correctly and tied to our same brand.

BigOrange.Marketing completed the whole branding and web development project within 60–90 days, from January–March 2023. However, we still have an ongoing relationship with them for SEO services and website maintenance.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
BigOrange.Marketing has delivered very high-end products. I can’t recall a suggestion of theirs being off-mark, meaning that they’ve listened to what we’ve said and produced something close to what we expected. Although we’ve had some discussions around variations and slight changes, they’ve never produced something that was very different from what we originally had in mind.
A lot of people have acknowledged and praised our new branding — it has been very well-received. BigOrange.Marketing has been instrumental in making this happen because they’ve told us how to launch our brand and put out our marketing message to clients and prospects.
How did BigOrange.Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?
BigOrange.Marketing has been a great partner. They’ve kept us on point and moving forward, continuously bringing suggestions to the table. If we don’t provide them with good information, they make us go back and look a little deeper to get the best results.
BigOrange.Marketing has also delivered on budget and ahead of schedule, which has been unexpected. They’ve kept us engaged and on task with things that otherwise would have been slowed down.
Overall, BigOrange.Marketing understands how to work well with people. Their team is very easy to work with and highly efficient. They also work fast without cutting corners, and they’ve never been pushy in order to move the project forward. Throughout the main project, we used a Trello board to check in, and we had a couple of in-person meetings. Now, we usually communicate via email.

What was the scope of their involvement?
BigOrange.Marketing helped us design and develop our website from scratch, which included UI/UX design. Initially, we had a couple of discovery meetings, after which they interviewed some of our clients to get testimonials for the website. From there, we worked together on developing user personas so that they could accurately build the website and its structure.
After that, we had a few discovery calls with BigOrange.Marketing around our messaging and the general copy we wanted to include, as well as other discovery calls around our services. It was a very in-depth process.
This site was built on the concept of StoryBrand and was designed to drive lead generation from organic content, such as blog posts, ebooks, and articles. Additionally, it allows users to submit forms and send them to our CRM platform. As for the technology stack, the site was built on WordPress. Additionally, it is managed through WP Engine and has an integration with HubSpot.
In addition to website development and design, BigOrange.Marketing helped us with our SEO. Their scope included content creation for social media and blog posts. Additionally, their team was in charge of creating a whole content schedule and strategy.

BigOrange.Marketing is involved in our home shows. We usually have a year-long campaign for each one of the shows. They started by researching what HOMEARAMA was and how it worked. They also learned that our customer base is the builders participating in the show and the people attending. After they got a good grasp of everything, they developed a full-scale marketing campaign that included social media, paid media, TV, radio, and billboards.
They’ve created all the print media and visuals we’ve had on social media. They’ve also written all the copy and developed our TV and radio spots. Overall, BigOrange.Marketing coordinates all the efforts.
Additionally, they meet with our builders every month to get their input on the campaign, and the team revises it based on their comments.

Our main point of contact is Margee (President & CEO), and she has worked with the same people for several years.

They were a referral; some of our builders utilized them for their own companies. We felt BigOrange.Marketing understood the industry already, and they did their homework for the presentation. It was a challenging job because we had many people on the committee giving them recommendations and comments on their proposals. BigOrange.Marketing initially met with them about what we were looking for in the campaign, and they over-delivered.

We started working with them in April 2019, and our partnership is ongoing.

We’ve seen an increase in website traffic, business, and conversions. Most importantly, we’ve exceeded our budget attendance, which is our largest profit center. BigOrange.Marketing is instrumental in making that happen every year.
Additionally, they’ve gained the trust of the builder community and their commitment to participate in future shows.
How did BigOrange.Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re always on time, and the team usually anticipates our needs. They’re ready even before we’re ready to pull the trigger. We typically communicate through email, phone, Slack, Zoom, Google Meet, and in-person meetings.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their commitment and detail-oriented nature are outstanding. There are a lot of moving parts and strong personalities in this project, and BigOrange.Marketing brings resources and accommodates all interests to create a successful plan. They have incredible, creative, and talented people. Their coordination skills are excellent, and they’re very astute at social media and marketing. All in all, they’re a great, full-service company.

We needed someone to redo our website to tell a better story about our out company objectives and unique differentiators. Next, we needed to develop a content development strategy coupled with ongoing content creation. And lastly we needed a company to completely take over management of our client newsletters and social media channels...complete with graphic design.
SOLUTION
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We selected this vendor after an in depth search across multiple providers both locally and nationwide. We decided to work with Big Orange because they had a very well rounded skill set. We felt confident that could deliver on re-doing our website, developing content, ongoing graphic design, and social media management. Additionally they offered to help us perfect our client facing proposals, design leave behind folders with product inserts for client meetings, and edit our client testimonial videos.

The first step was an in depth discovery meeting....The Big Orange team took a meaningful amount of time to understand our unique needs and goals. Next they were able to provide great references giving us confident that they deliver what they say they will. Next a a proposal was given to us complete with all the information needed to make a buying decision. The next few months the Big Orange team did a great job driving the project forward and very quickly they implemented a new communication strategy on our website and redesigned the pages.
Afterwards their content lead drafted the content strategy. Simultaneous to this they rolled out our social platforms and post creating/scheduling. After the big pillars were complete Big Orange began to perfect all of the little things: Testimonial videos, collateral, pricing proposal, and more
