Why did you select Bigglo over others?
Close to my geographic location, Pricing first our budget, Good value for cost
What was the size of Bigglo’s team?
2-5 Employees
Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.
The project involved building an ETL pipeline to extract, transform, and load data from five different sources. This allowed for the consolidation of data from disparate sources into a single, unified platform. Additionally, an analytics environment was proposed and prepared in BigQuery, which enabled the analysis of large datasets in a scalable and cost-effective manner.
The platform provided users with the ability to conduct complex queries on massive data sets quickly and efficiently. Finally, a highly effective dashboard was developed using Looker Studio. The dashboard provided a comprehensive view of the data, with interactive visualizations that made it easy to identify key insights and trends. Overall, the implementation of these analytical tools has enabled better decision-making and improved business outcomes for the organization.
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
- time
- existence of built tools
Describe their project management. Did they deliver items on time? How did they respond to your needs?
Bigglo deliverins projects on time and with a high level of efficiency. Their project management system is well-organized and effective, with an efficient task management tools that enables them to quickly prioritize and allocate resources as needed.
Overall, I highly commend Bigglo for their strong project management capabilities. They have consistently demonstrated their ability to effectively manage projects from start to finish, and I have no doubt that their expertise in this area will continue to contribute to their success in the future
What was your primary form of communication with Bigglo?
Virtual Meeting
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
During the implementation, I was impressed by Bigglo's extensive knowledge and expertise in cloud computing and analytical tools, particularly in the Google Cloud ecosystem. They demonstrated a deep understanding of the technology and were able to provide valuable insights and recommendations on how to best leverage the capabilities of the platform.
Are there any areas for improvement or something Bigglo could have done differently?
While I appreciated the expertise and knowledge that Bigglo brought to the table during our collaboration, I do think that their approach towards our team could have been more diplomatic. It is important to remember that we hired them precisely because we lacked their level of expertise, and it can be discouraging when they are overly critical of our capabilities.
I believe that a more diplomatic approach on their part would have fostered a more collaborative environment and ultimately led to better results. Nonetheless, I do acknowledge the value that Bigglo brought to the project and believe that with improved communication and a more collaborative approach, they could be an even stronger partner in the future.

Dashboards & Data Visualization for Apparel Brand
"They are world-class. I know what good work looks like."

Please describe your company and your position there.
I lead the eCommerce business of a well-known apparel and accessories brand, which is sold at thousands of retail locations. I have over 20 years industry experience, at agencies, start-ups and in Financial Services and mostly Retail. In my past roles, I’ve managed large Business Intelligence (BI) teams and Data Scientists to develop new reports and manage technical implementation and database migrations.
For what projects/services did your company hire Bigglo?
We needed several custom Google Data Studio Dashboards created, which involved the creation of a SQL database, which relied on BigQuery, and numerous connections to various data sources, including Shopify, Klaviyo, Gorgias, FedEx, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Facebook/IG/Meta Ad Manager, Microsoft Ads, etc.
We needed executive snapshot reports that would be delivered to stakeholders via email, and a lot of data visualization and design work for the reporting to be user-friendly, and in some cases, mobile-friendly.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We worked with Bigglo after several failed engagements with other freelancers and agencies we contracted. This put us behind schedule, and wasted a lot my time.
But from these failures, we realized we needed a higher level of expertise, and we got much smarter about vetting and which questions to ask for this assignment. Bigglo impressed us with their feedback, but ultimately it was a leap of faith, and Bigglo exceeded expectations.
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
We were losing reporting after terminating an agency who owned our Glew account and a Google Data Studio accounts, and they wouldn’t transfer them. We needed to rebuild reporting from scratch. There wasn’t an off-the-shelf analytics tool that could match our requirements, and we didn’t think the cost of Glew was worthwhile, as it only solved some requirements.
I started the project with a bulleted list of requirements, and some basic reporting examples, but I didn’t know which technologies and connectors we’d use, and what custom APIs we’d need. As Bigglo delivered dashboards, I kept increasing scope, and got ideas to add additional KPIs and drill down filters. (Translation: I’m a difficult client, as I’m a perfectionist and keep raising the bar, and I ask for lots of changes, and always increase the scope of work.)
As I saw these reports come to life, it inspired me to flesh out new ideas, and request many other blue sky reports that I’ve been dreaming up for many years, but have never been unable to operationalize.
Specifically, we broke new ground related to product sell-through velocity, on-hand inventory, customer churn, customer lifetime value, purchase path (eg, most likely second purchase, based on first purchase), product type selling by DMA, and several reports related to 3PL performance and shipping status, to track how many hours it took to label and ship product, and current number of open orders to fulfill.
Data visualization and the UI/design of reports was critical to the success of this project. Not only did Bigglo understand the technical aspects, and all the advanced Data Blending, they understood information architecture, and how to translate the data into clean, polished looking reports. And related, in some reports, they pulled in product catalog images, which made the dashboard much more user friendly to executive stakeholders.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
While there was a robust team working on the various elements of my project, I had one point of contact. He is a brilliant man, and a fluent English speaker. He had a powerful grasp of my industry. He understood how to execute my ideas and requirements.
And he was a great collaborator, who provided ideas and insights to develop new reports and data drill downs that I hadn’t considered. We communicated over email, and had several Zooms, and he often left me wonderful Loom videos giving me status updates and demos. While there is a time zone difference between our countries, this didn’t negatively impact our work or cause any lag, which I’ve typically experienced in the past with other off-shore resources.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Bigglo ultimately built 15 custom dashboards for us and created various snapshot reports that are delivered to stakeholders via email. The baseline need was to replace/replicate previously used reporting that was being lost in a vendor transition. The resulting toolset I developed with Bigglo exceeded my plans and expectations for what could be achieved in 2022.
The BI dashboards we got provided more visibility and actionable insights to drive the business, in addition to automating previously manual work. Broadly, we achieved something I always thought was an unreachable utopian state: Data Democratization. Specifically, these reports have empowered stakeholders, to learn about their functional areas, and find answers to their questions (rather than asking someone else to pull data for them).
An aggressive timeline was a key challenge, as this project needed to be completed by yearend. Going into the project, I felt my deadlines were unrealistic. When Bigglo said they could do it, I was skeptical. But they delivered what they promised. We are now about to kick off a new project, around our optimization of GA4 (Google Analytics 4), and are determining new methods to archive our historical Universal Analytics reporting. We’re going to be forging new ground here.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
They were extremely effective. They work in mixed of agile methodologies, using both SCRUM and Kanban, depending on the project element. While having great processes, they were very flexible around our needs and requirements, which changed along the way. What’s impressive to me is the speed and quality of the work.
I don’t think I’ve ever experienced as strong a combination of process/methodology, flexibility, speed and quality with any agency, tech provider or design firm. In many respects, these traits can been diametrically opposed, but Bigglo strikes the balance.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They are world-class. I know what good work looks like. It’s a rare pleasure to collaborate with teams of their caliber.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
In my experience with Bigglo, with over 150 hours of the work they’ve done to date, they always exceeded my expectations.

I'm an executive of a small publishing company. We provide a publishing platform that embraces the importance of speaking each other’s language and understanding each other’s culture. We manage a network of close to 1000 websites.
For what projects/services did your company hire Bigglo?
Our platform is run on a custom solution including multiple MySQL databases. We needed to build a dashboard environment to monitor business and marketing KPIs in one environment. We selected Google Data Studio as the dashboard solution.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Video interview and past reviews and one reference
Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.
First they connected our SQL databases to Google GBQ and eventually to Data Studio using an ETL tool called StitchData. Later they wrote scripts to copy the data directly from SQL databases rather than using an ETL. They also helped with analysis of the data and figuring out how to get the business KPIs we were interested in.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
Four across different phases. Lead consultant, developer, data entry
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We have working dashboards that are updated regularly that help us better understand how our business is performing. Our operations costs have gone down too since we removed the 3rd party ETL tool. We also have detail documentation of the work which is important to us.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Very effective. We communicated via email and slack. They always delivered their work on-time and more importantly with high quality of work.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
High quality of work, on-time delivery, good recommendations, and consulting.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Please describe your company and your position there.
I'm member of board of 1stplace.pl. We are providing online marketing services, such as SEO and PPC campaings.
For what projects/services did your company hire Bigglo, and what were your goals?
We needed an automated way of delivering tens of SEO related data points sitting in multiple sources for hundreds of our Customers. Previously we have been exporting this data manually. As our business scales we face a deadline issue providing our Customers with reports in a timely manner.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We found them online. Initially we were discussing a similar solution with big companies like Microsoft but what Bigglo proposed was 10x cheaper. Additionally we wanted to use Google Data Studio and they have shown us a few examples of their work we really liked. We never used any Cloud solutions but they proved it can be really cost effective when deploying properly.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
They designed and developed an Automated ETL process for multiple data sources into Data Warehouse serving our Clients as a one place of truth for all SEO-related data. On top of it they have developed a Business Intelligence reporting system allowing hundreds of our customers to track all crucial SEO related data points.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We have been working with 3 people in total: their CEO, their Project Manager and one senior Developer. Other resources have been also working on the project : UX and Graphic Designer.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Before the automation process we had to manually scrape data from multiple data sources for hundreds of accounts which at some point took us a full week of work of two people on a monthly basis. They literally automated 800 hours of semi manual work on a yearly basis for our Company.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Deadlines met on time. Shared with us a Google Dashboard allowing us to track all costs and time for each granular task of the project connected directly to JIRA software. This really helped us understand what we are paying for. Documentation was delivered in Confluence.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their knowledge about Google Cloud features and other Google products (like GMB) was very in-depth which really stands out in our local market. Additionally, we liked how fast and accurate they are in terms of development. As an extra bonus - they reply really fast to our needs and are always willing to give discounts on bigger projects.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
I think in terms of front-end development they could propose more than one graphic design variation. While we like dark themes some of our customers prefer light ones.
