**The Review** — Feb 22, 2021

**Feedback Summary**: The project was completed in a timely manner, meeting the expectations and requirements of the internal team. BigCheese provides a high level of customer service, communicating regularly with the client. The team adapts quickly to any changes in the project.
""They’re flexible and adapt to our needs."
"

**BACKGROUND**
Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the CTO of Nuevo Siglo, a cable TV company in Uruguay.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
What challenge were you trying to address with BigCheese?

We needed someone to help us with the development of an Audience Rating System using our Set Top Boxes (STB) as a information source. We needed information about the audience and what our customers were seeing. We also needed information on the ratings, the different channels people watch, the time they’re watching TV, and the most viewed channels.

**SOLUTION**
What was the scope of their involvement?

BigCheese provided an Audience Rating System for us. They started with monitoring information about ratings, sharing, and how the channels are watched by the customers. There was a second project that was related to the same source of information (STB) but with a more technical view.

We tried to get information to monitor the state of the STB and the network. It was not so focused on the content. It was more focused on the technical aspect of the services, like a monitoring system.

In the first phase of the project, the key was to get the first daily scope of what our customers were watching during the last day. That was the most important delivery and test. We don’t have a current project, but we’re analyzing a prospective idea with their team. We haven’t defined the project fully yet.

What is the team composition?

I worked with 2-3 members of their team, including the COO and a programmer.

How did you come to work with BigCheese?

We worked with them years ago. We have a personal relationship with them. We presented the project and approach. There weren’t any other companies that had the software ready to use. We discussed with BigCheese and with some other companies. We got some quotations and decided to go ahead with BigCheese.

How much have you invested with them?

We have invested about $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement began in July 2015.

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

BigCheese finished the project on time. The final product met the specifications that we set at the beginning of the project.

There were some delays but it was due to changes made on the specifications on how we needed the final results. It was due to our side, not theirs.

The system works without any problems. It’s fantastic. We have very low support needs.

How did BigCheese perform from a project management standpoint?

Their entire team is great at communication. They have fast delivery.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re flexible and adapt to our needs. The second phase of the project was a totally new concept. We didn’t have the final idea of what we really wanted so we made lots of changes on how to present the information. The capability of changing and adapting to new requirements was very important for the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t have any complaints. They could put us on a more strict schedule in order to force us to define many things that we took some time to define.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have close and honest communication in order for them to understand what you need. If you don’t know exactly what you need, try to do it in an agile way in order to get a quick approach to the final requirements.
