Please describe your company and your position there.
I am the Chief Marketing Officer spanning full stack marketing. My team’s mission is to align our company’s brand with our purpose, target and message solution value to our customer’s toughest business challenges, and showcase across our marketing and go-to-market channels how the unbelievable is delivered, including meaningful customer experiences, diverse employee stories and inspiring real-world results.
Our company is the leading global provider of best practice services in media delivery solutions for audiovisual, broadcast media, sports media, information technology, global meeting room deployments and other related fields that utilize AV technology.
For what projects/services did your company hire Big Day the Agency, and what were your goals?
Our business was founded 30 years ago and grew through multiple acquisitions. We needed help with cohesion from 15+ different organizations that had come together to be one. We hired them to establish a brand image that tied all 15+ organizations stories, services and solutions together. Additionally, the company was undergoing a re-structuring. This re-structuring established business units to narrow the organizations focus. As our company provides a very broad spectrum of services and solutions to 20+ industries, the undertaking for Big Day was enormous.
How did you select this vendor?
I connected with several agencies with whom I had previously worked with in my time at KPMG. I interviewed and heard each of their teams’ proposals and selected Big Day because of their communication, experience, expertise, boutique like feeling and price point.
Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.
To start, they interviewed 15+ people, a combination of stakeholders and clients, to understand our current brand and business. From there, they developed a full brand strategy for the organization, positioning, purpose, vision, mission, values, voice, tone, tagline, value proposition, and messaging pillars. Following this, they delivered the complete new re-brand, including
- Logo and Brand Visual Identity (fonts, colors)
- Social Media Headers
- Email Signatures & Business Cards
- Webinars and Video Assets
- Brand Do’s and Don’ts
- Video Branding Guidelines
- Corporate Collateral Design & Guidelines
- Case Study & Proposal Templates
- One Pager Information Sheet
- Invoice Template Design (D365)
- Letterhead
- 8 Powerpoint Templates
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I worked directly with their Partner/Founders, their project managers, and their creative leads. There was exceptional communication on a daily basis, incredible attention to detail, true dedicated and personalized attention. Even though they support many global brands, it always felt like we were the only client.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Because of the project, the organization now has a new, sensational, modern brand representative of the services and solutions that each company acquired specializes in. The values, coupled with the new messaging and new look and feel, will allow us to elevate their presence in the market, reflective of the unbelievable experiences they deliver to their clients.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We had regular weekly meetings to review timelines, milestones and deliverables. We communicated easily via email and response times were fantastic. Big Day never missed a deadline, frankly, they were way ahead of us. They were also unbelievably timely in all their deliverables, providing strategy, guidance and direction as well, when needed. Big Day is the best agency I've ever worked with in 18 years.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
Their commitment to learning about our business and doing necessary research at the start was impressive. They truly cared about our needs and wanted to help us reach our goals. Their creativity and attention to detail was remarkable, the best I’ve ever seen. I was absolutely blown away by the deliverables they presented to us for the re-brand.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Absolutely nothing. They are perfect in every way.

Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises, Casper, HexClad, Zygo, The Kebab Shop

Royal Caribbean
We’re proud to be an agency partner for Royal Caribbean’s B2B marketing and advertising team. We are responsible for everything from email and print campaigns to digital activations and website content creation.

Casper
Casper, pioneers in the DTC space, are cementing themselves as clear leaders in the sleep products and innovation category. They turned to Big Day to help create a dreamy television spot that highlights the benefits of Casper sleep technology. Featuring a mesmerizing blend of CG and practical footage, it takes viewers on a fantastical tour of the Casper dream machine factory.

HexClad Cookware
HexClad is revolutionizing cookware with its innovative hybrid technology that gives you the performance of stainless steel and the convenience of non-stick. One of the biggest believers in the company is also one of the best chefs in the world, Gordon Ramsay. Big Day was brought in to sharpen its brand and develop campaign creative (television, email, paid and owned social, and more) for the brand and a new line of products.

Guru
Guru is a fast-growing SAAS company that helps businesses take control of their information. If you've ever spent time looking for a file or wondering if a presentation truly was the 'final' version, then you need Guru in your life. With OOH placements in New York City, Boston, and San Francisco, we had a lot of fun creating their first-ever brand awareness campaign that highlighted the Information Overload problem that Guru can solve.

Zygo
Zygo is a DTC company that's revolutionizing swimming with a headset that allows people to stream content from their phone underwater. We work with them to market their hardware and accompanying app through organic and paid social iniatives.

Perfect Bar
Perfect Bar had their work cut out for them. The marketplace was filling up with empty calories in the form of competition with less-than-ideal ingredients. They asked us to create a social content campaign that would clearly differentiate them on a very crowded shelf.
So we got to work and created a series of gifs that made the brand’s ingredients and packaging the star. The result was over 30 pieces of creative that spanned their full line of products.
It’s tempting to try and stand out using post-production techniques like 3D. But we know nothing perfect comes easy, so we went old school, using stop-motion video to teach our modern audience about our snack bars. We knew this frame-by-frame approach was the ideal creative execution to highlight the brand’s authentic ingredients and approachable nature. And we weren’t alone. The stop-motion campaign ended up expanding beyond social and was used in other digital properties, including their newly designed website.

The Kebab Shop
We were fortunate to partner with The Kebab Shop when they had a single location. They came to Big Day looking to elevate their brand and potential with a fresh new identity system and marketing campaign. Several ‘research’ kebabs later, we went to work and fired up a new look and attitude that has help catapult them to over 20 locations in 6 cities (and counting).
Our partnership with TKS started with a complete reinvention of their brand. We took it from “just another Mediterranean grill” to one with a bold point of view that challenges people to break out of the daily food rut and Crave Change. The new attitude touched everything from the look of the storefront to menu design.
When your brand comes out swinging, you need to back it up. So we developed a marketing campaign that met the competition head on. Using striking juxtapositions, we highlighted the mundane choices hungry consumers tend to fall back on and then hit them with a dose of flame-grilled deliciousness. The opportunity to create a rallying cry to inspire this family-owned chain was rewarding beyond the sales it drove.

I'm the Creative Operations Director at a mattress brand that sells sleep products to DTC, Retail, and Wholesale.
For what projects/services did your company hire Big Day the Agency?
We began working with Big Day on a TV and Lifestyle photoshoot production program that included a lot of complex deliverables. Our team needed the support of a Producer as well as senior creative support to ensure that the work was as strong as it needed to be. Big Day was an excellent partner in helping us continue to evolve the work through creative development and production. We then worked with them on a retainer basis for ongoing creative support across programs.
How did you select this vendor?
Big Day came highly recommended through a senior member of our Marketing and Creative team.
Describe the scope of their work in detail.
We worked with Big Day on a project basis as well as on a monthly retainer for Creative support.
What was the team composition?
The team included Copy, Design, Art Direction, Production, Account, and Senior Leadership.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Big Day was able to help us negotiate favorable contracts with our production vendors. This allowed us to efficiently produce multiple TV/Video spots and a library of photo assets within one multiple day shoot. They also helped develop complex, high impact OOH for our holiday campaign.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Big Day was very flexible to working within our Creative team's existing workflow. They were able to take on projects big and small and provide support based on our business needs.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
Big Day is small but mighty. Their Senior Leadership team are excellent partners on set and in creative development. We really appreciate their partnership and the expertise that they brought to the work.
Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?
Big Day being West Coast (with some folks in other time zones as well) made scheduling a bit more complex, but it wasn't a barrier to working with that team as they were very accommodating to our team's needs. I wouldn't hesitate to work with Big Day again. They're excellent partners and willing to go above and beyond for great work!

“They created concepts for and developed some really impressive, visually engaging videos for us.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of a technology company called Zygo. We are the first company to stream audio underwater. We produce a headset for swimming that allows people to stream audio from their phones or receive live one-way coaching.
What challenge were you trying to address with Big Day the Agency?
We needed a partner to help build a cohesive social media and email strategy and update our design style.
First, they developed an advertising video for us. They presented six initial concepts and we chose one for them to produce. They storyboarded the concept, created and executed the graphic design, and then we handed the video off to our media buyer. They also edited another animated video that we had already storyboarded.
Then, they created new email templates, helped with copywriting, and created visual assets for us to give our media buyers for Facebook and Instagram. They handled our social media design and posts, performance analysis, and email marketing campaigns. They also redesigned and automated our email flows for our post-purchase, abandoned-cart, and welcome series via Klaviyo. They also helped us with one-off email campaigns that we manually triggered.
Additionally, they helped us with influencer marketing and research. They arranged a photoshoot by helping us find a photographer and scouting director to recruit the right talent. The team also came on-site for the photoshoot to ensure we got the best shots on video.
What is the team composition?
We worked with three co-founders, who were our main contact points. We also worked with a project manager and 3–4 other team members with different skill sets.
How did you come to work with Big Day the Agency?
We found Big Day through a personal referral. They created the initial advertising video for us, and we were pleased with the work, so we engaged them on a monthly retainer.
How much have you invested with them?
We invested roughly $100,000 in the partnership with Big Day.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working with Big Day in July 2021, and our last project ended in July 2022. We ended the engagement because we feel like they helped us create a strong foundation, and we want to build on that internally.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Big Day created concepts for and developed some really impressive, visually engaging videos for us. We’ve received significant positive feedback regarding the aesthetic that Big Day created for our brand. Facebook users have commented on the new style and how cool our creative assets look. Since working with them, our click-through and open rates for emails increased, and our social media following grew. The ads they helped us with perform well, and our founders are very happy with the partnership.
How did Big Day the Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
Big Day was great from a project management perspective. We had weekly calls to align priorities and discuss important content for the social media posting calendar and emails. Then, they worked on tasks, and we had follow-up calls to look at material drafts and provide feedback, which they always received well.
We had one dedicated project manager who communicated via email and Slack. She kept a really clear schedule and maintained consistent contact with us. They were very reliable when it came to deadlines and budget. We used Google Drive to manage the project and Google Meet for calls.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Big Day's biggest strength is that they have a lot of combined experience working for large agencies and professional organizations. They are a newer agency, so they have a flexible, communicative approach, which works for us. The team is skilled and experienced; they complement each other well. It’s rare to find a partner that provides such close interaction with founders.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Big Day is still developing their capabilities outside their core skill set. For example, when we requested help with influencer marketing, they wanted to accommodate us, but it took them time to find a staff member who was well versed in the field, and it didn’t go as smoothly. They want to be able to help with everything, but they could improve by honing in on their strengths.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I advise taking advantage of their ability to create assets from scratch. They have amazing vision when creating storyboards and leveraging assets, so try to start with fresh content and be open to their ideas.

Please describe your company and your position there.
I was Creative Director for White River Marine Group, the largest boat manufacturer in the world, by volume. Ranger Boats is one of many boat brands under the WRMG umbrella. WRMG is a sister company to Bass Pro Shops—all run out of Springfield, Missouri.
For what projects/services did your company hire Big Day the Agency, and what were your goals?
Ranger Boats saw an opportunity to expand their product line from performance fishing boats to premium pontoon boats. Given the strong legacy and tradition of Ranger, it was critical this launch didn't go against grain, and lived up to everything Ranger has come to stand for.
We hired Big Day the Agency to create a brand style guide, direct our inaugural photo and video shoot in Florida, and produce the model year product brochure—guiding all creative direction along the way.
How did you select this vendor?
Bass Pro Shops and WRMG had worked with individuals at Big Day the Agency on previous projects over the years and we knew they could deliver.
Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.
We hired Big Day the Agency to create a brand style guide, direct our inaugural photo and video shoot in Florida, and produce the model year product brochure—guiding all creative direction along the way.
How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
We worked directly with two individuals, an art director and copywriter.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Ranger Reata was successfully launched to rave reviews for the 2017 model year.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
Communication was primarily through traditional means (email, phone, text). Project management was driven through myself (client) and timelines were tight. Our photo and video shoot in Florida was in mid-November 2016.
Those assets had to be turned quickly to produce the brochure, launch the website and social by early 2017. No deadlines were missed by Big Day the Agency.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
They were extremely nimble—and so creative. Having been in-house at WRMG for so long, it was refreshing to have talent come in to work on a project and produce such fresh and creative solutions. They had a unique ability to push the status quo without being too abrasive.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
Not that I can recall.

Brand Overhaul for Harvesting System Manufacturer

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the marketing director at a leading harvesting system manufacturer.
What challenge were you trying to address with Big Day the Agency?
We needed their team’s branding expertise.
What was the scope of their involvement?
We needed to do a brand overhaul to step up our marketing efforts and prioritize our buyers’ needs. Big Day the Agency initially helped us identify our goals and target audience through a discovery phase. They then studied different market trends to help us determine the brand message, color palette, and font styles that best represented our business.
Once we finalized our branding needs and requirements, Big Day the Agency started working on their graphic deliverables, including our logo and site content. They went through rounds of revisions to ensure that our team approved the final iteration, and we then utilized that logo across our different channels.
What is the team composition?
My main points of contact were Kristie (Partner/Clients & Operations) and Peter (Partner/Creative Director).
How did you come to work with Big Day the Agency?
I worked with Big Day the Agency on a previous project before this engagement. I discovered their company through word of mouth, and I was easily impressed with their field expertise and enthusiasm for our startup business.
What is the status of this engagement?
Our engagement ran from December 2017–January 2019.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their team empowered us by making our brand creative and convincing, which resulted in positive client feedback and several marketable opportunities — we reached our first million-dollar profit with their help. Overall, it was a pleasure to work with a team of innovative professionals who were willing to take risks to help our business grow.
How did Big Day the Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
We mainly communicated via email. Big Day the Agency was responsive and receptive to our feedback. They valued our ideas, met our timelines, and managed to keep us in the loop at all times. Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of a kebab restaurant.
What challenge were you trying to address with Big Day the Agency?
We needed help with marketing strategy and creative designing.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Big Day the Agency helps us clean our brand message, which involves new logo design, colors, fonts, and creating a new website from scratch.
What is the team composition?
I’ve been working with Ahab (Creative Director).
How did you come to work with Big Day the Agency?
We met Ahab, and we liked his style and energy. In terms of work, he showed us samples of what he was envisioning, and we were blown away because it was nothing like what we’ve seen in the market from other companies — we knew he’d be a good fit for us right away.
At first, we started with a small project, and he was outside the box, so we ended up engaging in big projects letting him take control of the creative part of our company.
How much have you invested with them?
We’ve spent under $100,000 with them so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 2017, and the engagement is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We don’t have metrics on their work, but I can say that we’re positioned in a spot that’s utterly day-and-night different from where we were before engaging with them. We’ve also had positive feedback from guests and brand leaders in terms of the creativity of our site and the unique approach it provides — it’s been amazing.
How did Big Day the Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re accessible and always keep us updated on the project. They’re cool and accommodating to our creativity instead of rejecting our energy to make changes and enhancements.
What did you find most impressive about them?
They put a lot of passion into their projects and become critical about making adjustments that ensure the quality of their work — that’s something that I like, and it made me trust them because it shows how much they care.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

Please describe your company and your position there.
Start-Up CPG company Perfect Bar (Now Perfect Snacks) makes the freshest nutrition bars ever created. Non-GMO, Gluten-Free, 20+ Organic Superfoods, High in Protein, and handmade in sunny San Diego. I was the creative director at Perfect Bar, helping the company update its branding over three years until our successful acquisition by Mondelēz International. That included updating all of their packaging, branding, and all marketing assets including content creation, photography and video for all digital and social channels.
For what projects/services did your company hire Big Day the Agency, and what were your goals?
We hired Ahab at Big Day agency to help us build our video library of assets. We needed clever and tasty videos that highlighted our cookie dough like texture peanut butter protein bars, the fresh ingredients used to make the bars, and that they are found in the fridge in stores, but are also good on the go. Ahab is so fun to work with, always positive and upbeat and brought enthusiasm to every video. He's a creative and a problem solver. We really leaned into quick stop motion videos that told a story and were used on our website, digital ads, and social media accounts. The quality was superb, crystal clear videos with seamless transitions. They could have easily been used for broadcast or Hulu commercials.
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
We were looking for a partner that could help bring our creative ideas to life, who could take our ideas and quickly run with it (start-up life is always extremely busy and fast-paced), we also wanted our videos to look professionally done (crisp and clear, not iphone), as well as a someone we would enjoy working with on a weekly basis. I should also add we didn't want to hire just a creative agency, or alternatively just a video agency, we needed both. Someone that could produce videos, but also get creative and dirty and style products and spell things out like "Fresh From The Fridge" in hundreds of peanuts. Ahab blew us away with his creativity, animated swirls of cinnamon, and Chef's Table schmears of peanut butter and honey. The videos were beautiful and playful.
Describe the video(s) and the process in detail, including the project steps and all stages of production.
I would sketch out a shot list of ideas based on our selling props we needed to get across (some overall brand related, some for new flavors being launched). I would brief Ahab on the shot list. Ahab and team got to work immediately setting up the studio, cameras and lighting. They were quick to grab props if I forgot anything. They would style, get a quick approval if I was around, wrap the shoot then go into production (editing and stitching together the images for stop motion). Ahab also provided us images in various sizes for various channels (amazing!). The stop motion videos were really impressive.
Who did you work with and what was the feedback process like?
I worked with Ahab and his PA, and the process was great. We were organized, they were organized, and we got to work immediately. It felt really refreshing to talk to a creative, know that we were all on the same page immediately, and move forward with gusto, and receive assets that were absolutely beautiful.
Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
Perfect Snacks grew exponentially during my time there, no doubt attributed to the beautiful assets that were created by Ahab's team that was used across digital ads, social and websites. The growth of Perfect Snacks leads to a successful acquisition by Mondelēz International.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
We had weekly meetings in person. Energetic. Inspiring. Once the game plan was agreed upon, Ahab was quick to get to work, produce, edit and return assets to us in a timely manner via email.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
The creativity, problem-solving, positive vibe, and enthusiasm were most impressive about them.
Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?
No they were rockstars.
Thanks to Big Day the Agency, the new organization now has a modern and cohesive brand image. The values and the new messaging will allow the client to elevate their market presence. The team genuinely cares about the client's goals, and their creativity and attention to detail have been remarkable.
