What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
Their team did well, delivering a big project on time. The product was for a customer demo, which meant there was a rigid deadline in place. We also had tight definitions of what we wanted to build. There was a lot of rigidity as to what needed to be shipped and the expectation was that their team would do exactly that.
How did Benamix perform from a project management standpoint?
Their team did really well. We actually expected more problems to arise because this was the first time that we outsourced to a third party. My experience showed that there was always some miscommunication that leads to delays or a product wasn’t built the way I wanted. Even though it was a relatively complex project, nothing went wrong with Benamix. There were issues here and there, but we sorted them out as we went. They did a stellar job of keeping us posted in terms of deadlines and of what they thought went well and what didn’t.
What did you find most impressive about them?
What stood out to me was their ownership of the project. They also had clear communication. Every time there was a problem, they treated it as their job to fix. Their team reached out to get the information needed, which I appreciated because we’re busy and forget. Expectations were set clearly and whenever there was a problem, their team informed us and provided suggestions to address them.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I don’t have anything.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
We knew exactly what we wanted and gave them specific instructions for the output. We didn’t tell them how to get there rather when the product needed to be at a certain point. We let them scope the project themselves and decide which technologies to use. That style of work worked well for us.
