What was the scope of their involvement?

Beat The Best designed our logo and website. They’re also handling our SEO and branding efforts. Their team manages our Instagram and Facebook accounts. They helped me with lead generation and did a little bit with Google Ads.

I work with designers and the owner.

My cousin introduced me to them. He hired them and was happy with their work.

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement started in October 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve seen a lot of quality leads and success because of their efforts. I’m happy with their work. They did a fantastic job with our social media and logo. Beat The Best works fast. They send me data about my site’s analytics. Also, their design skills are fabulous. I’m very happy with their designers.

How did Beat The Best perform from a project management standpoint?

They always let us know what they’re working on and do monthly check-ins. Their team delivers on time. If I need anything, they take care of it quickly. We communicate through WhatsApp and phone calls.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their design capabilities are excellent. They know my taste. If I need something, whatever they produce is bang on from the first iteration. I’ve never requested changes or asked them for more options because it’s always perfect in the first delivery.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’re doing a fantastic job.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’ve introduced them to a few of my clients and some engagements may come out of that. Their team is professional.

Create product photos that enhances customer experience through visually appealing, yet informative and detailed product shots.

Recreate exisitng product photos on our website and make it as close as possible.

To create 5 product shots for one rug: Full, Corner, Side, Back, and Zoom.

What was the team composition?

I have worked mostly with the owner, and so far the experience has been great. They take instructions well and only minor adjustments are done.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

It has been a challenge looking for photographers that can do home decor, espeicially big rugs. But they they have been really helpful and cooperative throughout.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

It was excellent. Always quick to respond.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

They take instructions very well and end results reflect pur brand perfectly.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Everything can be done faster, I'm sure as we go along the processes will be much smoother.

Javi Home is a manufacturer of carpets, blankets, cushions, and similar products and we export to 60–65 countries around the world. It’s a family business, and my dad is the owner. I’ve been working here for 4–5 months, and I don’t have a role per se, but I’m trying to add value in any manner possible. I’ve given myself the title of “head of strategy”.

What challenge were you trying to address with Beat The Best?

I came onboard during COVID-19. We knew that we couldn’t meet customers face to face anymore, so we were looking to create a platform that would show our products as they were in real life. We hired them to develop a website and also assigned them to take professional photos and videos.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Beat The Best helped us develop a website and the team also conducted professional photo and video shoots of our 80 product collections. Beat The Best stayed in our town for three days and came to our showroom every morning. Pulkit (Founder & CEO) showed me the raw video files for approval.

They also created the branding and website for our sister brand in Australia. The sites were done in WordPress.The team continues to handle web development and digital marketing

What is the team composition?

I worked mainly with Pulkit. However, 2–3 people came with him to the showroom, but I don’t know who worked behind the scenes.

How did you come to work with Beat The Best?

I found 4–5 companies on Clutch and asked them for quotes. Beat The Best can provide all the services we needed, and they had the best price. Pulkit was younger than the other people I contacted, so we could understand each other better.

How much have you invested with them?

The project cost was around $15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together on the video production project in June–September 2020, but the collaboration is ongoing for the website and digital marketing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We got really great feedback from customers for the website and the photos Beat The Best took. People said that it didn’t look like it was made in India. We’ve also gotten quite a few orders through the site.

Pulkit told us that some of the video footage wasn’t up to his standards, and he reshot it at his own cost, and I appreciated that.

How did Beat The Best perform from a project management standpoint?

They met 90% of the deadlines, and the communication was perfect. We talked every day about what was going on. Pulkit said that some of the work wasn’t up to his mark, and redoing it caused some delays. That was done just to provide quality results.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were cheaper and better than anyone else I found on the market. I built a good relationship with Beat The Best, and their work had been excellent.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They were pretty good at what they do, and the cost was also good.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I recommend communicating with them every day and brainstorming with them. Beat The Best can provide pretty good ideas.

I am the co-founder of Nerdy Shutter, an educational technology company focussing on creating a community of photography and filmmaker enthusiasts and helping them become professionals through our in-depth courses and interaction sessions.

We wanted to showcase ourselves as the new energy in this domain.

We were referred by one of their past clients, the work Beat The Best did for them was exceptional and we were sure that our brand will be in good hands.

The team initiated the project through a discovery call where they understood our mission, ideologies, and our end product, following which they recommended to us the type of logo that should be opted for along with its pros and cons.

Further, we went through 2 rounds of design sprints and we had our logo ready. Post that we worked with them on our web app's UI/UX along with production for our future video content. They are currently associated with us and working on more future course videos.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our brand is unique, fresh, and energetic, just how we imagined it to be and even more. Our app is currently under development but we are sure that it'd be amazing when live, after seeing the prototypes created by team Beat the Best.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The best part according to me was that their team was available throughout, we could call them at any time and they'd answer all our questions. This allowed us to focus more on our business while they took great care of our brands visual identity.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their ability to quickly provide us different design options and directions impresses us.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We would love to have them dive into marketing, since currently, they do only creative design and production (But that also makes them great in what they do).

They’ve supported us in shooting a few of our entertainment videos. In creating the videos, they’re not shy about giving them opinions which is good. They also helped us in branding, developing our company logo and stationary. We gave them our ideas and their team explained every part of their design process.

There are 4–5 people from their side, along with editors for the videos.

A friend recommended them. We also chose them because they’ve worked with some of the biggest influencers in India.

We’ve spent between $175,000–$200,000.

We started working together in June 2018 and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

People have really liked the videos they’ve created. Since their work has been so good, we continue to use them on a regular basis. 

How did Beat The Best perform from a project management standpoint?

They pay close attention to detail and are hard workers. They’re always available at any point, even if it’s at 2 am. They always hear us out and offer suggestions. We’re always on track because of them. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Before starting any work, they make sure they understand what we want and they stick to it. If it looks like we’re trying to imitate someone else, they recommend something new and contribute their ideas. They’re dedicated and their founder is a great person — they really put in the effort. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I haven’t found a glitch where it feels like they could have done better. If anything, the video editing department could improve slightly.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open-minded and listen to their suggestions. You’re hiring them for a reason. If you’re not listening to their valuable comments, you won’t get as much from the engagement.
