Bearded Fellows were commissioned to produce three animations to introduce retailers to the three new interactive resources at their disposal.
Google’s solution was to build three interactive resources, one on attracting local shoppers to stores (Google My Business), a second to improve your mobile sites (Speed Scorecard) and a third using insights to make smarter decisions (Google Analytics).
Google is one huge brand, each produce or site within its umbrella has its own little characteristics and it was left to us to define this for Google.
We were given an initial style direction by Google but had to wade through a very large asset bank to hone down the look and feel to match with the retail webpages.
Each animation had a different character to try to capture a wide demographic. We produced three 10 second sample animations bring to life the character and their retail environment to give Google a clear look and feel for each animation.
We produced a music track that was designed to feel more like a soundscape with SFX that brought to life the animations in a subtle, but engaging way.
We liaised with the marketing team through our interactive review process and we were able to create three animations that showcased the benefits of Google Retailer for retailers.
