The LADbible app launch

Video of the year - Prolific North Awards 2016

Our video campaign for the Ladbible saw us shaping content for a brand that is known as a hub for content, none of which was their own.

They came to us asking to help them find their own voice online. The target audience was 16-25 year olds who use their social media platforms.

As they wanted to make a statement, we decided to make something ‘out of

this world’ which lead to sending their app into space. 

We decided to use a face of Ladbible, Johno, to go on the journey and guide the viewers for the first time. 

The pre-production of this project took precedent as we had to make sure everything was ready for our one shot one take chance to get it right. We used a Go Pro to put on the balloon and used GPS to follow the flight path. 

We use the Ladbibe channels, Vine, Instagram and Facebook to release the video, drip feeding clips to create a buzz for the app and added a call to action at the end of the video to download the app. 

This content received over one million views in 24 hours and allowed the visitors to engage with the launch of the app instead of just seeing a sponsored advert and ignoring it.

By making engaging content we were able to get a conversation started on their channels and make a buzz around the launch. 

The app went to number one in the Itunes app store within 24 hours and helped to shape the future content style for the Ladbible.

Google Retail

Bearded Fellows were commissioned to produce three animations to introduce retailers to the three new interactive resources at their disposal.

Google’s solution was to build three interactive resources, one on attracting local shoppers to stores (Google My Business), a second to improve your mobile sites (Speed Scorecard) and a third using insights to make smarter decisions (Google Analytics).



Google is one huge brand, each produce or site within its umbrella has its own little characteristics and it was left to us to define this for Google.


We were given an initial style direction by Google but had to wade through a very large asset bank to hone down the look and feel to match with the retail webpages.


Each animation had a different character to try to capture a wide demographic. We produced three 10 second sample animations bring to life the character and their retail environment to give Google a clear look and feel for each animation.


We produced a music track that was designed to feel more like a soundscape with SFX that brought to life the animations in a subtle, but engaging way.


We liaised with the marketing team through our interactive review process and we were able to create three animations that showcased the benefits of Google Retailer for retailers.

Our client wanted to mix grooming and sport. We were challenged to mix the two and decided to attempt to incorporate humour. The result was a 6-month campaign across various sports and scenarios synonymous with male grooming and specific sporting moments. 

With each of these visuals used to advertise during major sporting events of 2018 (Anthony Joshua vs Parker, Wimbledon, Grand national, Champions League/world

cup) we utilised the benefits of using a Remington grooming product with successful sporting moments
