We are a learning and development and adult education service provider based in Durban, South Africa. I am Head of Product and Innovation for People Solutions

Our website, which was refreshed about five years ago, needed to be refreshed and given a fresh look to attract our target audiences. Our goal was to ensure a great UX for B2C and B2B clients looking for more information about our company and services.

We approached our IT Company, IT Corp, and they referred us to B&E Design Firm. Our decision to use B&E Design Firm was 1. they responded to our enquiries, 2. they set up a project briefing meeting, and they listened to what we wanted regarding the new look and feel for our website.

We had a scoping meeting with Kenji to discuss our business, the complexity of our different products and services, and our goal to bring our website on trend. Our goal was to achieve a website that was visually impactful, trendy, clean in design and user-friendly to visitors. Our copy is particular, so we provided the raw data extracted from the site--and Kenji and his team reworked the copy beautifully to tie in with our vision.

Kenji managed our project, and his design team worked on our website.

The first thing we noticed during the test launch was that we were receiving messages from potential learners and clients. Visitors found the information on the site well organised and visually appealing. Navigating our WordPress site was smoother and loaded faster and the mega menu makes the site more accessible, and it is easy to find the information you need about products and services.

We kept in touch using Skype, and I could send updates, and new content whenever I needed to. Kenji always responded and actioned our requests quickly and effectively. The team kept to timelines and ensured that we got what we asked for.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were friendly, helpful, pleasing, and humurous. This approach made working with B&E Design Firm such a pleasant experience. If I asked for a change, it would be actioned without necessitating unnecessary meetings. B&E Design Firm just got us and our web design needs. This is often rare that web design can be such a pleasant experience. They did not complicate anything with tech talk, and that made the experience so seamless.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were minor bugs with placeholder text that needed to be replaced with authentic copy. However, this was done quickly and efficiently.

We are a private chef company that provides an elite level of culinary services.

We commissioned B&E Design to design a website that would help take Chefs Without A Name to whole new level. Our goal with the website is to reach wider audience & have a platform where clients can interact with us and our services.

Banele reached out to me after identifying a gap within our business. Presented how we would benefit from B&E designing & managing a website for us. We didn't need convincing, cause he's presentation was in line with our vision.

After the first meeting, where goals and objectives of the project were shared, the team went straight to work, researching and looking at other companies doing what we doing. From there a visual mock was delivered where we were given a detailed tour.

The creative director was our main point of call, but the other creatives did interact with us.

We've seen more people enquiries and meal prep orders since we've live.

The one good thing was that there were constant updates, timelines were adhered to and things were delivered on time. Also the fact that i could call anytime with new ideas was a benefit.

They've delivered what I had envisioned without missing anything from the brief we've given to them.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Honestly the service we received matched what we expected. The only thing i can highlight is the turnaround time for errors to be rectified. it could be quicker.

I am the founder and managing director of Modern Dollz, an online beauty and cosmetics company. We do not have a physical store so our company functions via our e-commerce store. we trade in physical products and provide support to make up artists.

Our first website was not giving us optimum sales and visibility. We didn't have an inhouse developer and the relationship with first developer wasn't too great. We hired B & E to create a more optimized website to help convert more visitors into buyers.

We had already worked with B & E for our rebrand the previous year. we were happy with the work they had done for us, they better understood our brand and I had seen the work they had previously done.

We had a meeting to discuss the objectives of the new website. We did mock up resembling websites we were inspired by in the beauty space. Their team then designed our woo-commerce website.

after the launch we have seen in increase in conversions. we have had positive feedback from our long term customers about the update

the style was very casual yet effective. we had zoom meetings (shared screen) , shared information on a shared drive and at times communicated via whatsapp if something was urgent.

They were meticulous, patient, and friendly.

To update the colour scheme of our entire website.

I have worked with B&E in the past and trust their capabilities of taking on a brand of this magnitude.

I worked predominantly with one member who then delegated the work going forward. This was easiest and most efficient.

They completed the project far before the deadline, and their work was extremely thorough and meticulous. Extremely professional and accommodating of last minute changes.

Extremely. Responses were almost immediate and as I said before, very accommodating.

Their quick turn around times as well as adjusting seamlessly to different demands, especially coming from the fast environment of sports.
