BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

Miko Fashion Group is a buying office in Milan, Italy. We connect luxury brand showrooms with clients around the world. We introduce good brands to clients. We also introduce brands to multi-brand stores. I’m the account manager. I develop customer profiles and run the customer side. We are not a large company. Every person in our group has a lot of job tasks. For the designing part, I was the main person in charge.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with bcbranddesign?

We wanted to have a digital presence online so we needed a branding agency to help us design a beautiful logo and build the website. We aren’t designers so we didn’t have a logo. We needed a better image to use on our business cards and to introduce ourselves to clients. We needed a professional designer.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired them to do the logo design, the brand identity, and the website. We have the website to introduce what we do; it’s exclusively for the people we are in contact with. We don’t use the website as a way to find new customers.

What is the team composition?

There were 2 designers. One was mainly in charge of the website, and the other was more in charge of developing the logo and brand identity.

A friend recommended them to me.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around €10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January–March 2017.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website and logo look perfect. We work in the luxury fashion industry, so having a beautiful website, image, and identity is very important. Our boss and all of our team are very satisfied. It looks very elegant and high fashion. After the website was built, we put it on our business cards and passed them to our customers. All of our customers like it a lot. It’s definitely better than before when we didn’t have the website. We now have a digital presence that we can send to other people to represent our company.

How did bcbranddesign perform from a project management standpoint?

We worked together to develop quickly. We had a couple of meetings every week when we were developing, especially at the beginning when we did the logo. Every weekend they came over to discuss what they had done. Then, we talked about improvements we had to make and chose how to do them. They always showed up. They’re very creative in giving new ideas. The whole process was great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They always came up with new ideas. Sometimes they had so many ideas that it was challenging to choose. They always had unexpected thoughts on their minds; that was fun. It’s much better than when we were doing it by ourselves. In terms of coming up with new ideas, they’re exceptionally impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes they come up with very good, innovative ideas, but the boss didn’t like them. It would be nice if they sometimes insisted on what they think is the best.
