I’m the CEO of UniStar Academy. We are a platform that offers a lot of short courses such as language, sports, art, music, and more. We also offer summer camps. Parents are able to find the best course for their children ages 6-18. The courses usually take place on campus, but we have online options, as well.

What challenge were you trying to address with bcbrandesign?

We needed help with branding, website design, and digital marketing.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We gave basic information such as the name and color theme. From there, they created all the branding, including our logo.

They strategized on digital marketing. They mapped out a step-by-step plan for the next three years.

What is the team composition?

There are 5-6 people, designers and strategists.

How did you come to work with bcbrandesign?

I did a Google search and found them. They had a better style than the other companies I looked at.

How much have you invested with them?

 For the branding, it was around $20,000, but that was billed separately than the marketing, and I can’t recall what we spent.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in July 2019, and it is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The design work is very good and meets our expectations. It’s very professionally done.

How did bcbrandesign perform from a project management standpoint?

They plan out all steps for every process. They also did the research for branding, and during the design, they listened to our opinions and gave good feedback. Overall, they worked with us to create the best product.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I really like their style. It has the right amount of professional, modern, and educational feel to it; perfect for us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I wish they would also manage the actual digital marketing.

I recommend them to anyone needing design work or marketing strategy done.

I’m the marketing manager of Fixer Assistenza which is an Italian appliance repair company.

We wanted to design a new logo and brand identity.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We initially hired them to design our logo and assist with creating a unified brand identity. They did a survey of our team to understand our goals and preferences during the design phase. Later on, they designed our website and created an online application extension for users. More recently, they’ve been assisting with SEO and marketing. 

What is the team composition?

Our main point of contact is our project manager. We worked with an additional team of three to five which consisted of designers and developers. 

How did you come to work with bcbrandesign?

I was looking for agencies in Milan and I was referred to them by a friend. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent around €40,000 (approximately $45,000). 

What is the status of this engagement?

We began our ongoing engagement in 2016.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The most important metric for us is customer feedback. We’ve gotten comments that our logo and branding make us memorable, which sets us apart from the competition. 

How did bcbrandesign perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re friendly and patient which made project management seamless. We communicate through phone calls, Skype, WhatsApp, and in-person meetings. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The quality of their work is great and they’re easy to collaborate with. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, if we weren’t happy, we would’ve found another vendor. However, sometimes they did things that wouldn’t work at our request. Perhaps they could be less afraid to tell the client “no” if they knew a certain request wouldn’t work well.

They’re very professional, so you should trust their opinion.

Miko Fashion Group is a buying office in Milan, Italy. We connect luxury brand showrooms with clients around the world. We introduce good brands to clients. We also introduce brands to multi-brand stores. I’m the account manager. I develop customer profiles and run the customer side. We are not a large company. Every person in our group has a lot of job tasks. For the designing part, I was the main person in charge.

What challenge were you trying to address with bcbranddesign?

We wanted to have a digital presence online so we needed a branding agency to help us design a beautiful logo and build the website. We aren’t designers so we didn’t have a logo. We needed a better image to use on our business cards and to introduce ourselves to clients. We needed a professional designer.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired them to do the logo design, the brand identity, and the website. We have the website to introduce what we do; it’s exclusively for the people we are in contact with. We don’t use the website as a way to find new customers.

There were 2 designers. One was mainly in charge of the website, and the other was more in charge of developing the logo and brand identity.

A friend recommended them to me.

We’ve invested around €10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from January–March 2017.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The website and logo look perfect. We work in the luxury fashion industry, so having a beautiful website, image, and identity is very important. Our boss and all of our team are very satisfied. It looks very elegant and high fashion. After the website was built, we put it on our business cards and passed them to our customers. All of our customers like it a lot. It’s definitely better than before when we didn’t have the website. We now have a digital presence that we can send to other people to represent our company.

How did bcbranddesign perform from a project management standpoint?

We worked together to develop quickly. We had a couple of meetings every week when we were developing, especially at the beginning when we did the logo. Every weekend they came over to discuss what they had done. Then, we talked about improvements we had to make and chose how to do them. They always showed up. They’re very creative in giving new ideas. The whole process was great.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They always came up with new ideas. Sometimes they had so many ideas that it was challenging to choose. They always had unexpected thoughts on their minds; that was fun. It’s much better than when we were doing it by ourselves. In terms of coming up with new ideas, they’re exceptionally impressive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Sometimes they come up with very good, innovative ideas, but the boss didn’t like them. It would be nice if they sometimes insisted on what they think is the best.
