I am the Communications and Fundraising Manager at Asociación MAIA, a nonprofit in Guatemala. I manage and direct the marketing and communications efforts alongside the fundrasing team.

The assessment of the marketing and digital communications strategy. Our main challenge is that communications is not considered a strategic area and has a lot of grey areas for the rest of the team. Before now there has never been a strategy.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We had worked with several consultants before BATL, getting very little accomplished. We liked how the BATL team broke down the process into actionable steps. They also understood that being a nonprofit, resources for this were limited, but still committed to work with us and help us take the necessary steps to create a plan that worked within our capacity.

I like the personalized attention and also the desication that they put into work.

I'm the Director of Development for a nonprofit in Guatemala. In addition to overseeing fundraising activities, I also oversee the marketing and communications team.

1. Our website is already seeing considerable improvement in SEO. 
2. The marketing and communications team is working much more efficiently and seeing much better results in their digital campaigns.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

We received very concrete tasks after each meeting. The timing between meetings was perfect as it allowed us enough time to complete our "homework" and have very productive meetings.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their dedication to providing the best service possible was impressive, and their ability to explain complex concepts in simple terms so that people like me (with no marketing and communications background) could easily understand.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing in my opinion.

I’m the sales director at IA Financial Group, an insurance company.

What challenge were you trying to address with BATL Marketing?

We wanted to have more visibility in the network and create a virtual place where people could see what we do, what it means to work with us, and what jobs we offer.

What was the scope of their involvement?

BATL Marketing has designed and developed a website to present my career and the type of advisors I’d like to hire.

They started by analyzing our old website and presenting an offer on how we could improve it. We decided to have them build it from scratch. We asked to have a page where people could send their CVs to apply for the job and a first-page video. The team helped me with all the content, and they also made the logo.

Additionally, they’ve done design and copywriting work and placed the pictures on the website, which was created with SEO terms. Also, they’ve worked on the creation, idea, and how the content is presented.

Currently, BATL Marketing creates content and manages the website and the posts on our Instagram account. They’ll start doing our SEO next year.

What is the team composition?

We’re in contact with Monica (Founder), who acts as the project manager.

How did you come to work with BATL Marketing?

A friend recommended them. We looked at their site and had a meeting. We liked the way they presented themselves. They analyzed our work and what we had in mind. We also liked how they took our idea and put it into a website.

We had another offer, but Monica’s offer was more concrete. BATL Marketing showed us what we wanted to show to the people. When they presented, I felt that they read my mind.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $8,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2021, and our relationship is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

There haven’t been any bugs, and the website is much more attractive and professional. Anyone that refers me can check my name, and it gives me a more established and professional status. Also, we’ve had great feedback, and the interest has definitely increased. More people are following us and our Instagram account.

How did BATL Marketing perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very clear, so they’ve gained our trust. They take our ideas and concerns into consideration and explain what they can and can’t do. They have excellent communication skills and are always available. I’m the one who’s busy all of the time, so any delays are from my side.

We communicate via phone calls and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They take their time to analyze and understand what the client needs.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, everything is going well. We’re happy with the work they’re doing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Prepare for the meeting beforehand. They’re very clear, so you won’t have the necessary knowledge if you don’t prepare for the meeting. Take the time to understand.
