What challenge were you trying to address with BASIX?

Our original website was getting a lot of spam, so we hired BASIX to replace it. They rebuilt a completely new website for us, and monitored it so we did not get any spam.  A few years later, we asked them to update it for us in an effort to bring in more business.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

When we first worked together, BASIX cleaned out our platform and gave us a completely new WordPress website. A few years later, their team updated our site. Throughout the process, their team came up with great ideas on how to get more business for us through these updates. 

They added a plug-in called Bookly to enable online scheduling and also added online gift certificates. Although I add all of the monthly specials and articles to the site myself, Nick (Digital Marketing Consultant, BASIX) is available to support me whenever I need it. 

What is the team composition?

Nick is our main point of contact. 

How did you come to work with BASIX?

I met Nick at the local Apple store and he gave me his business card about his new website design company. I talked to my partners and we decided to hire them. 

How much have you invested with them?

The recent website redesign cost $1,500. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together on this part of the project in August 2019 and our engagement is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Their initial development and newer updates have been quite successful in bringing in new business for us. 

How did BASIX perform from a project management standpoint?

Throughout the whole process, Nick has been in contact with us, letting us know what he’s working on. For each step, we’ve been able to give our feedback and ask for changes before everything is launched. They’re very helpful, especially since my team has limited knowledge of website development. Nick explains everything clearly, so we know what he’s doing. 

Initially, we were in the same state as each other, so Nick was always around. When they moved we were worried about communicating, but he’s been great through phone and email. He responds usually within the same day, even on weekends. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We really value Nick’s ideas; we trust him to take care of us and he’s good at what he does. He researches different ideas and finds what works best for our business. We pretty much always go with his suggestions. 

Once the updates were live, there was an issue with the scheduling tool and Nick was extremely flexible. He was available to have conference calls and fixed everything we needed within two days. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can’t think of anything Nick could do better. Although we’d like to use his marketing services and take advantage of that, we don’t have the budget for it.
