They designed, developed and launched a new mobile app and backend solution. The project started with a discussion and them learning about our business needs. Bamboo Agile proposed using an API to provide seamless integration with the MNO’s (mobile network operator) billing and Raschet payment systems. They created a special secure protocol to connect the E-Wallet frontend with the backend, ensuring the safety and instant processing of all transactions performed in the app.

What was the team composition?

We were working together with a team of 8. Backend and mobile developers, project manager, business analyst, DevOps, and several QA specialists.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Mobile payment apps like E-Wallet can set the trend for e-payment systems, bringing various benefits to users by removing intermediate steps such as commuting, signing papers, withdrawing cash, etc. With such features as "Add to favorites", quick-to-set reminders, and payment history the E-Wallet makes over 2,000 payment types doable with a single tap.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I liked to work with Bamboo agile because our communication is extremely effective and project manager is an expert in his sphere. We communicated through email, phone, and in-person. It was also really important for us that they come down to our office and meet our staff. Highly recommend you to work with Bamboo Agile team!

I'm a product manager at a D2C fashion brand.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Bamboo Agile?

We needed to develop a Shopify store solution and a mobile application.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They were responsible for developing the frontend part of the store. They developed the UI and added some functionality, which was not in place with the Shopify template. We had a solution from the design standpoint and then they implemented it from their frontend point of view.

The second part was to develop an iOS native application which would allow our customers to scan a tag that came with all our clothing. It's basically a piece of paper that the customer scans to see information about the clothing piece they acquired.

What is the team composition? 

I communicated with the frontend developers over time, and if someone had to be replaced (like when they went on holiday) there was always someone else to step up. I also communicated with the project manager, who was responsible for leading our projects. I also communicated with an iOS developer, so 3-4 people from their team in total.   

How did you come to work with Bamboo Agile?

When I came to my company, they were already here. I think one of the founders’ friends knew them very well. It was a word of mouth referral through the founder’s network.

What is the status of this engagement?

They began work in April 2018, four months before I joined the company. They delivered the projects in early 2019 (either January or February) but they remain available on WhatsApp if we have a small question. They always answer quickly.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Because the task was a general implementation, we didn’t set KPIs for them. We’re very happy with their work, though.

How did Bamboo Agile perform from a project management standpoint?

They used multiple channels to communicate. If we had a small question, we reached out over WhatsApp and they replied in less than 15 minutes, traditionally. More formal questions (invoices, payments) were handled by email.

We had a daily call to review the status of all our tasks, which we stored on a task board in Notion. There was a short timeframe on implementing this project, and they did great.

 What did you find most impressive about them?

Compared to one other team we’ve worked with, their communication was outstanding. The other team didn’t see the need to have a daily call, but Bamboo Agile understood that it would help us keep track of everything. They did well from their side responding to our questions.

Are there any areas they could improve?

In the end, I don’t think there was anything they could improve. There was one issue with testing, where we rolled out a new version and there were some issues, but they adopted a new testing technique that allowed them to bypass bad situations in the future. Other than that, there was one small miscommunication about what was to be implemented, which required additional iterations. Neither of these were major issues, however.

Keep in touch with them and setup regular meetings so that if you have questions you can quickly discuss with them.
