I’m the managing director and financial adviser of a financial services company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Avita Group?

Years ago, I had a situation where an employee sued the firm trying to extort money. They made up a fake story to try to get money out of our bank. She ended up admitting that she lied and made the whole story up, but not before having some articles that were written about what had happened on the web. I then approached Avita Group to help me clean up the fake stories and news about my company on the internet.

What was the scope of their involvement?

What Avita Group essentially does is create additional content that diverts the attention from the negative articles. You can’t truly have something removed, but what you can do is push it to maybe 3–4 pages down in Google search.

What is the team composition?

I don’t know how many people are assigned to us because I’m mostly only dealing with Brad (CEO) and Scott (EVP Creative Director & Sr. Project Manager). Moreover, I’m very hands-off on the project, and they basically do the work every month, and I pay them for it.

How did you come to work with Avita Group?

I’ve known them and some of the work they’ve done from other clients of mine for a long time. When this issue came up, I had worked with another company that scammed me prior to working with Avita Group. I was paying them a lot of money every month, and I found out they were just taking my money without getting anything done.

There are a lot of companies that will take your money and promise to do the work, but you don’t really know what’s being done behind the scenes. It’s a catch 22 situation where they want it to take forever so you can keep paying a certain amount every month — and I did not want to keep doing that. That’s how I ended up firing the other company, and hiring Avita Group.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in September 2020. The project I hired them for was done, but I still have them do some things so our partnership is still ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

They would send me a monthly report that would show what the results are. If you were to Google my name today, where there were like 4–5 stories that showed up on the first and second page, those no longer show up.

How did Avita Group perform from a project management standpoint?

We usually communicate through the phone and email. They send over updates every Sunday or once every week or two. We started seeing the transitions of every detailed report of what they’re doing and the success they’re having. In some cases, nothing would change from week to week.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Number one, they did the work. A lot of the time you don’t really know what’s going on behind the scenes, especially if you’re not savvy enough to know how to do SEO optimization. They’d say that they’re working on something and we can’t expect results right away. Then a month goes by and you’re still not seeing anything get done.

However, with Avita Group, they are able to show me the things they’re doing. They’re very hands-on in informing me about what they’re doing, where other companies weren’t doing as good of a job. I’m more of a person that will pay after they get the job right. Some companies don’t like to work like that, and they like to get paid whether they’re successful or not. 

I was able to do a test with Avita Group, where I would pay them a little bit of money upfront, and I wasn’t happy after a month, I can just shut it down — but they are able to deliver the work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would say no. I’ve actually referred them to some other people who have been pretty happy with their work. It’s nice to know there are some people who can help because, in the world of online, it could be damaging even if you didn’t do anything wrong.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I would say, from the get-go, have them tell you what they feel their strategy is going to cost. That way, there would be no guessing, and you’re not going to wonder what the company is doing.

In addition, don’t expect things to happen on day one, just know that these things take time.

For what projects/services did your company hire Avita, and what were your goals?

Because I am an out of down manager, especially during COVID, I required a deep penetration of the Chicago pilot market. My goal was to increase tenancy.

How did you select Avita and what were the deciding factors?

I was shown the advantages of using a vita services to fine tune my web presence so break through on line clutter and attract interested customers.

I had a lengthy and fruitful meeting with Brad who described what his goals for me were and the steps he would take to get there. He also discussed pricing and what would be expected of him, and what would be expected of me.

My goal was simple and achieved. Brad and his team improved my web presence significantly and produced more customers and rent.

Brad is disciplined and professional. Brad was an excellent communicator and he was happy to meet frequently as needed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their hands-on personal attention to my unique needs, customers, and desired outcome was impressive.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Overall very happy. I would have liked instant results, but understand that steady growth is more manageable and desirable.
