I’m the CEO of Designer Protein. We’re a sports nutrition company that distributes and sells protein powders based in the San Diego area. We recently launched a high protein, low sugar chocolate bar and plan to add wellness products in 2021.

We needed a partner with digital marketing experience to help us increase our online reach because consumers more and more often buy online.
What was the scope of their involvement?
ATTN manages our digital paid ads primarily on Google and Facebook. Their team provides concepts and ideas and then we create the ads in-house. They manage email campaigns and will start texting campaigns.

Bobby (Owner) is my primary contact. However, there are people in various roles working on the team too.

A trusted friend in the industry recommended ATTN. I talked with Bobby extensively about our goals, and then we decided to work towards achieving them together.

We began working together around May 2020 and have an ongoing partnership.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We’ve experienced an increase in traffic, new consumer emails, and return customers. Their work also has a dramatic impact on our Shopify sales. We’ve also seen growth on our social media platforms such as Instagram followers. We’re happy with their work and its results.
Their team provides feedback on what does and doesn’t work, and then we creatively adjust. They’re mindful of our budget and maximize each dollar to help us achieve the best possible ROI.
How did ATTN Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re deadline-oriented, efficient, and responsive. We have weekly meetings and between them, we use Slack and email to communicate.
What did you find most impressive about them?
We had several discussions before we officially partnered with ATTN. I was impressed by the integrity and patience ATTN displayed throughout that entire process.
Are there any areas they could improve?
No, ATTN only needs to continue with the project’s natural progression. They should continue to learn about our company, identify new ways to sell products, and see new customers and channels to reach.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
As with any partner, stay in regular communication. Keep them apprised of upcoming changes in products, budgetary constraints, and product seasonality. Try to give them some flexibility from a budget perspective.

I’m the vice president of marketing for HYLETE, a direct to consumer fitness apparel brand.
What challenge were you trying to address with ATTN Agency?
Since we don’t have any brick and mortar space, digital marketing is our bread and butter. Owning the customer journey is really important to us, so we hired ATTN Agency to support our paid marketing efforts and acquire new customers.
What was the scope of their involvement?
They are responsible for all of our paid search and paid social efforts. They work on Facebook and Instagram primarily, but all of the various search platforms, as well. Display ads and Google Ads are also handled by their team. For short term projects, they work as a consultant for us, too.
We build most of the creative and copy in-house, but ATTN Agency helps with iterations on those materials. They make suggestions and small changes to our copy to make everything more efficient.
What is the team composition?
Four people from their team work with us. Joe (Co-Founder), Bobby (Co-Founder), Andrew (Partner), and Justin (Partner) have all been hands-on since the beginning.
How did you come to work with ATTN Agency?
I believe they reached out initially in a cold call scenario. We’re both in San Diego, so having that close proximity and in-person connection was a big plus. What attracted me first was their dedication to the space; I could tell they were going to do everything they could to hit our KPIs.

The cost varies depending on how the project is going and where we need to spend more resources, but the total cost can be anywhere from $60,000–$120,000.

We started working together in April 2019 and our engagement is ongoing.

Cost-per-acquisition is the main KPI for our business, and they make sure we’re getting the correct numbers to drive our business. They’ve come up with creative ways to segment our audience, too.
How did ATTN Agency perform from a project management standpoint?
They give us a lot of attention, which is in their name. They’re very conscious of how we want reports to look and ensure they’re working with us. It’s all about communication and they’re good at it. They provide the minimum-effective dose to make sure everyone is getting what they need to be successful which is great.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Their commitment to our campaigns has been consistent since we began working together. They’re conscious about every client they take on.
I’ve worked with other vendors that show love at the start, but then they treat the project as less of a priority as time goes on. I’ve never felt that way with ATTN Agency. If anything, they are more proactive and keep an eye on our KPIs even more.

No, I’ve been pretty happy with everything so far.

Trust their recommendations — they know what they’re talking about. If they’re concerned about your KPIs, make sure you’re clear about it.

I’m the co-founder of Alday Denim. We’re a B2C e-commerce company that sells comfortable denim for men.

We hired ATTN Agency pretty early on in our brand. We have a history on the retailer side with wholesale brands, but this was our first B2C brand. We knew we needed a reliable PPC partner. We brought on ATTN Agency during our Kickstarter phase.

ATTN Agency runs all of our Facebook, Instagram, and Google ad campaigns. This includes creating and tweaking the creative aspects and working with our team on the copy. I don’t think we would’ve had much success without that attention to detail. They helped as much as they could.

They’re incredibly attentive. They text with us and even make last-minute changes and tweaks on the weekends. In the last few months, they’ve had a hectic schedule with everything going on in the world. We had to take a month and a half long hiatus from shipping. Getting back into that now has been a little challenging, but their team has been nimble at changing project scope based on that.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was impressed with their adaptability. They’re open-minded.

No, not that I can think of.

Create enough content and build enough creatives so that they can do the technical side well. The more ammo we’ve given them, the more success we’ve seen in campaigns.

ATTN Agency is responsive, which is very comforting in a very volatile industry. They’re dedicated and prompt. We’ve sold $320,000 in just three weeks of business with a 2.5 rate for return on equity (ROE).
The creative strategy has been a synchronized effort. There hasn’t really been an official strategy yet because we’ve had such success that we’re continuing with my direction. Essentially, we both know what we need to do as far as the creative side goes. Things are going well right now.

Their project management skills are Grade A. We’re in communication multiple times a day through Slack, email, and text.

I’m the co-owner and CFO of Cinema Secrets. We’re a retailer and wholesaler of cosmetics and Halloween items.
What challenge were you trying to address with ATTN Agency?
We developed our own website and needed some help pushing it out and picking up some sales.
What was the scope of their involvement?
ATTN Agency provides PPC through Google Ads and Facebook to bring in new people. We’re putting in more money on Facebook to get new customers. For each ad, we give ATTN Agency the creatives and graphics, and then they tell us what’s working and what’s not.
The metrics, reports, and analytics provided by ATTN Agency let us take that information and find the right audience using targeting and retargeting. ATTN Agency took over our email efforts as well. Everything’s set up to scale up. Every week phone conversation, they go through reports and explain where we’re looking good, what’s picking up, what should pick up. Everything they tell us follows the path they laid out.

It’s been a slow progression, but eventually, our sales doubled. We’re slowly increasing our budget and spending more on advertising than ever before. However, it’s paid off in dollars and new customers. ATTN Agency has been great to work with. They’re good at explaining and very performance-based.

The majority of the time, they’re on top of it and very involved. They work with us like they’re part of our team.

We’ve had some issues in the communications department, but that’s a more minor issue that’s partly on our end.

Having weekly meetings is fantastic. We have them over Skype, and we can ask them any questions about something we don’t understand. They do a really good job.
