We are a regenerative enterprise based in Montreal producing Smart Premium Chocolate. We harness Web3 technology and support war victims and ex-cocaine producers who now cultivate premium cacao and foster biodiversity in Colombia.

Design Summary:

• The aim of the portal is to provide transparency for producers and buyers around the supply chain of cacao from the farm, to the cacao association where it is fermented and dried, and then into storage from where it will be sold.

Deliverables:

1. Create a webportal:
   1. A searchable portal with various statistics
   2. For each batch of Cacao, a graphical tree showing provenance
   3. Links from the graphical tree through to an NFT which acts as a proof for the provenance and key data from the cacao post-harvest, storage and sales phases.
   4. Web 3.0 standards
2. Develop a Impact NFT:
   1. Each NFT will have some statistics against it, and a primary image
   2. NFT is mint on the Celo Blockchain
   3. NFT commercial possibility

Astrali used project management tools to demonstrate their progress and involved the right team members from multiple organizations. They delivered the items in the best timing considering the the adjustments that had to be done throughout the project. Considering the innovative development done in post-conflict regions of the world, Astrali managed to respond and exceed expectations of our needs.

I am the Project Manager of Project-Ark and we build tech solutions using Web3 to bring money into the impact space and conservation.

For what projects/services did your company hire Astrali, and what were your goals?

We have been working with Astrali for quite a while now. From working on full websites, to redesigning the current one with better quality as well as introducing new tools that combine Web2 and Web3 technology. We are working now with Astrlai to develop a carbon calculator product that will help automate the carbon calculations for NFT projects on Ethereum.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We have selected Astrali based on a pilot project that we worked together with February 2021. Based on the quality of the work and the commitment shown we have decided to work together more and since then we have an ongoing business relationship.

We have used mostly react and node.js for the previous website, as well as using Weblow, figma and the Metaplex ecosystem for the NFTs that have been built on the Solana Ecosystem. The scope of work entails web development for showcasing products, check-out options for selling NFTs.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We have seen our traffic numbers double, as well as really great feedback from all the visitors in terms of the design of the products and landing pages. Fantastic functionality and all the flaws have been fixed in no time, which lead to numerous leads and sales been done both in Web2 and Web3.

We had daily stand-ups with the team, with problems or bottlenecks being handled after it. In case of issues we would discuss with one of the founders and solve the situation. In case there were issues, the team was always helpful and we solve it in no time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Their proactivity in providing solutions for problems and proposing ways to make things better is impressive. Very high quality and attention to detail.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

We had some problems in functionality at the beginning with one of the clients but we soon fixed them.

I’m the founder of Owpn Academy, a mental health nonprofit. We offer mental health services for electronic music artists.

What challenge were you trying to address with Astrali?

We needed someone to build our website.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Astrali did the whole website development. The law in Romania requires a person to be a part of a nonprofit by signing their personal data with GDPR. The site allowed people to register, and we had an online form that people had to complete. It was tough to implement because we use WordPress.

Besides creating the form and changing the website, it allowed us to change the members and mentors. Also, Astrali added a new style and implemented a new design. When people want to complete the form, they need to read and agree with some basic information.

They implemented a payment system with WooCommerce to sell vinyl discs, which was very hard to do. It’s the first time in Romania that there’s an electronic album on vinyl. People can pay online, but they’ll get the discs six months from now because it’s still in production.

What is the team composition?

We worked with Cristian (Co-Founder) and Loan (Co-Founder). They worked side-by-side.

How did you come to work with Astrali?

I posted on Facebook. They were following our page and reached out to help.

How much have you invested with them?

They donated a lot of hours. The value of their donation was $1,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from June–July 2021, and they still help us out when we have problems or technical issues.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They did a fantastic job. The amount of money necessary to fix the broken website was beyond $2,000–$3,000. They were amazing to help us out as a nonprofit.

Now, we have a lot of people accessing the website and trying to become members. There haven’t been any technical issues; the website hasn’t crashed or caused any problems. They also taught us how to download forms and access the data that we need to call people for more details if it’s needed.

How did Astrali perform from a project management standpoint?

We had a Google Docs folder where we wrote what we wanted. They check-marked everything that they did. We kept communicating what we wanted to change, and we did this back and forth until we finished. Overall, everything was extremely smooth.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their communication skills and the actual implementation of the work were impressive. We didn’t have to put a deadline. They just did it. As a nonprofit, we really appreciated that.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Maybe they shouldn’t be so kind. I hope nobody profits from their kindness and exploits them.

Go with them. I strongly recommend Astrali.
