I’m the principal founder of Quote Shape, an automated quoting platform for brokers and carriers within the car shipping industry

We needed someone to complete all our SaaS platform’s backend development and database administration.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to build our product’s backend environment to the specifications defined by our frontend UX.

How did you select this vendor?

Aspire Edge reached out to us after we did a heavy outreach campaign to choose a vendor. We conducted interviews with over 60 developers and development companies and selected Aspire Edge because they specialized in Ruby on Rails within the SaaS sector.

Can you go into detail about the services they provided and the scope of the project?

They began by setting up a development environment and building an understanding of our product's UX and UI. From there, they built our backend using Ruby on Rails and integrated with multiple APIs. Before completing their work, they did multiple rounds of alpha and beta testing and fixed any bugs that came up.

What was the team composition?

We mostly worked with Harshad (Managing Director, AspireEdge Solutions). He communicated our project and task requirements to his development team and did the QA testing himself.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

They developed the project smoothly and were highly communicative. They were also exceedingly transparent and surpassed all my expectations going in.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

They handled project management through email and a shared Google Drive that contained all project wireframes, mockups, documents, and assets they needed.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Harshad and his team at AspireEdge completely exceeded any expectations we had for this project. Their extreme communication and transparency led to a very rewarding relationship.

Are there any areas where they can improve?

Honestly, there’s precious little they can improve. If there were areas for improvement, I wouldn't plan on using AspireEdge for future projects like I currently am.

We engaged with the team for their services in Ruby on Rails web development. Initially, we started with a two-week trial period. The team offers competent development skills. I’ve found that whatever commitments they make, AspireEdge Solutions will always fulfill. They've sorted out every single issue we’ve experienced. 

How did AspireEdge Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re excellent at project management. We communicate through Slack and manage the project on Trello. I receive daily updates from AspireEdge Solutions whether I’m available or not.

What did you find most impressive about this company?
AspireEdge Solutions offers an excellent level of service. The team’s developers have high-level web skills.

Are there any areas for improvement?

There are none that I can think of.

I’m a partner and the creative director at Bluewing Creative. We provide graphic design services for print, digital media, websites, and video production.

We needed support with coding for our websites.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They provided coding support for our WordPress and HTML sites, adding various new features such as WooCommerce integration and the ability to zoom in on images. Currently, they continue to provide ongoing development work, and we plan to engage them for all of our development needs. We hope to use them to integrate QuickBooks with WooCommerce as well as a shipping plug-in. We also want to add animations and implement SEO tactics into our sites.

What is the team composition?

We usually work with their managing director, who has always been very knowledgeable and nice.

We found them at a technology fair in Washington, D.C.

We’ve spent $1,000 thus far.

Their work began in November 2017 and is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We appreciate how knowledgeable they are. They’re always willing to explore new products and processes. Friendly and easy to approach, they provide excellent services, and I would highly recommend them.

How did AspireEdge Solutions perform from a project management standpoint?

Although they’re based in India, we’re able to work around the time difference. They’ve always delivered their work on time. In terms of communication, we talk via Outlook.

Beyond being accessible and well informed about web development, they have fair pricing.

Our goal was to complete a better version of our program.

We had an interview process.

Our original website was intended for beta testing with a small group, so AspireEdge is building a more developed and detailed version for the general public. They are also solving website issues and developing new sections. They are helping us create a better program, one that is easier and quicker to use.

There are 2–4 developers, both frontend and backend, who constantly check in with us to develop exactly what we need.
