Our company is a profitable, legacy organization that has managed to see long term success without any marketing/PR efforts. Despite having an impressive client list, the company remains "the industry's best-kept secret" and - because of this - can be a second-choice vendor. Many of the customers who use our products, don't even know that they're using them. 

The company was looking to build brand awareness - especially in the U.S.. We were also looking to have our voice heard in the industry, especially through newsjacking. Through concerted PR and marketing efforts we wanted to 1) ensure our brand is known 2) have our SME's positioned as go-to experts in the market and 3) launch a suite of AI-enabled products to elevate our company's offering from legacy technology, to cutting edge.

Their expertise in developing and executing a survey, analyzing results, and crafting insightful content—including an opinion editorial—has added significant value. Additionally, their on-site support at ACES, including daily EDMs, social media coverage, and speaker interviews, has greatly enhanced our event’s visibility. What stood out most about this PR company was their deep understanding of our industry and their ability to tailor strategies specifically to our needs as an association and for our events. Additionally, their seamless execution—whether it was managing media interviews, developing insightful content, or providing real-time event support—demonstrated both professionalism and agility. 

Are there any areas for improvement or something Aspectus could have done differently?

One area for improvement would be securing even more media coverage for our event. While Aspectus did a great job with the coverage for the association, we had hoped for broader exposure for our event, particularly leading up to the event. A more aggressive outreach strategy or expanded targeting of media outlets could have helped increase visibility even further. Despite this, their efforts were still valuable, and with a bit more focus on this aspect, they could have helped us reach an even larger audience.

Based on analysis on coverage secured in key target buy-side and business press publications, including FX Markets, Euromoney, Bloomberg, Reuters, The Edge, and Business Times.

• SXG FX overwhelmingly achieved the majority share of voice across the buy-side and business press by article count (44%).

• SGX FX media coverage is more diverse consisting of opinion editorial pieces and feature commentary.

• SGX FX also led the way in business press coverage with a profile piece in Bloomberg, and regular opinion editorial content in FX Markets.

I'm the head of marketing at Turnpikes, a software and IT consulting company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Aspectus?

We needed help with web development and web hosting.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Aspectus designed and developed our WordPress website. We already had our domains, but the team created a new design to meet our specific requirements: to improve lead generation and the number of people applying to work for us.

The team hosted the website on GoDaddy, trained us to manage it in-house, and did the reviews using Figma, but they also used Adobe.

What is the team composition?

We worked with Lucinda, our project manager and one of the technical account managers at Aspectus, their head of technology, the head of design, and a few junior designers.

How did you come to work with Aspectus?

We had internal discussions about what we wanted and our requirements. Then, we put that out to tender for a few different companies. Five other companies pitched for it, and Aspectus came out on top of that group. The team understood where we were trying to get to and our limitations. The other companies didn't get that so well.

Additionally, I had previously worked with Aspectus for another company, so I knew they would be great. Aspectus had to win over the CEO and the rest of the company, which they did without my influence.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent between £15,000–£25,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from June–November 2024.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Lead generation has improved, and we're seeing a massive increase in leads. We had to install a whole new process to manage the number of people applying to work for us. Our active users increased to 190%. We were happy our active users doubled. Aspectus' support on the technical level ensured our SEO shone.

How did Aspectus perform from a project management standpoint?

Aspectus was very honest. When we set the initial timeline and budget, they said we had it wrong and needed less time. It would've been easy for them to say that we needed more time and for us to pay for longer, but that's not how they did it.

We didn't miss a single date. When there were problems, Aspectus had already developed mitigation for those problems, which worked perfectly. We didn't have any need to oversee what they were doing.

We communicated mainly over email and regular calls. The team accommodated our communication needs. Aspectus used an in-house project management tool, but we didn't need access to that because we were comfortable with them managing it. During testing, we used BugHerd to communicate.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Aspectus was competent, reasonable, and the most helpful team we've ever worked with. They were incredible and went above and beyond.

The team understood what we wanted to achieve, learned our business quickly, was attentive to how we made money, and never let that go from the front of their minds, which made a big difference.

Aspectus gave us an idea of the design and UX and was very comfortable with us providing feedback. The team handled our remote staff well and understood the cultural differences of Europe, the UK, and the US.

They constantly questioned our input in a very positive way to ensure we were all on the same page without being complicated or upset. Aspectus was relaxed throughout the project.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't think there's anything they can improve on. We came in on time and budget, and we're seeing success. Nothing was ever tricky with Aspectus.

Be honest and open. Trust Aspectus. They know what they're doing and understand their field exceptionally well. Let them be a part of your team.
