Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder of InTerra Sciences, LLC. We’re a biotech company that invests in different areas within the cannabis business.

What challenge were you trying to address with Asia Media Publishing Group?

We hired Asia Media to provide the creative direction to develop our brand identity and company products. In addition, we wanted them to help us in marketing to our investors. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

The team helped us to develop several logos, and they further refined them to establish our brand identity. Furthermore, they crafted our unique selling proposition (USP) and in-depth marketing communications language for presenting our products to different audiences.

Asia Media recommended a two-minute animated teaser video, and it was provided directly to investors. They also created a one-page infographic, pitch deck on PowerPoint, confidential executive summary, and a pro forma financial model. We still stay in touch with the team when we have a couple of requests for revisions. 

What is the team composition?

We work with Markus (CEO) and several designers including Daniel (Creative Director). Asia Media also provides engineers and manufacturers.

How did you come to work with Asia Media Publishing Group?

We looked at different companies, both domestically and in the US. Asia Media was one of the companies that were referred to us. When I cross-referenced their firm, they were rated top one in Thailand. Then, when I talked to Markus the first time, he was extremely articulate and wanted to know more about our objectives. He was interested in us as a client, and he really showed that he wanted to solve our problems. Moreover, he ensured that they were the right fit for us.

Asia Media stood out compared to other companies because of their excellent examples. Overall, we chose Asia Media because they cut right to the chase. They also understood what we were trying to do and the obstacles we might encounter. 

How much have you invested with them?

We have a $100,000 retainer.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2020, and we continue to collaborate.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve raised a significant amount of capital, and we have ongoing negotiations with major special purpose acquisition companies (SPACs). Asia Media’s outputs have been attraction vehicles for our investors, and with their help, we’ve been engaging well with our target audience. 

They’ve delivered everything that they’ve promised. Our internal team is fastidious, and for them to have no zero complaints about Asia Media’s work proves their high-quality work. 

How did Asia Media Publishing Group perform from a project management standpoint?

We have meetings and calls where we answer their questions and where they discuss recommendations. We also communicate with them through WhatsApp and email. Partnering with them has been refreshing because they don’t complain if we ask them to redo something. That has happened a couple of times, and every single time, they’ve exhibited willingness to go the extra mile. 

Markus has kept us on point with Basecamp and Asana, and he’s always ahead of the curve. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

We highly appreciate they’ve introduced us to credible and capable staff in our partnership. They have a unique ability to look at an industry on a macro-level, and that allows them to share insights on the possible strategies we can consider. 

Markus is pretty solutions-focused compared to most of the PR agencies I’ve dealt with. He cares about the problems we’re having and tries his best to identify suggestions on how to address the challenges we’re facing. On top of that, he’s very bright. I won't be surprised if Markus writes a book one day and become one of the icons in the advertising and PR world. Anybody who’s going to work with him will be lucky, and I imagine the cost to hire him will go up significantly. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Most companies have to move at a faster pace if they want to work with Asia Media because they’re so far ahead of the curve. If they ask for something, they have to make sure that’s what they want because Asia Media will deliver sooner than they think. On top of that, they overdeliver, and companies who engage with them better be ready to deal with what they can offer.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Most companies say they want to engage in marketing and advertising, but they’re not even close to being ready to do that. They have to be very clear about their objectives and the service or products they’re offering. Moreover, they have to know what problem they’re solving, so that the team can identify solutions for them. 

BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I own and run the most renowned luxury recording studio complex in Thailand/SE Asia, called KARMA STUDIOS, and work continuously with artists and record labels from all over the world. I was formerly the Senior Vice President of Sony Music in New York and London.

For what projects/services did your company hire Asia Media Publishing Group?

We needed to engage a Media Company to assist in the promotion of song releases and videos made by artists, both from within Thailand and from overseas.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goal was to reach local and regional SE Asian media outlets to increase awareness and traction for the acts in question.

SOLUTION

How did you select Asia Media Publishing Group?

We were recommended to meet and talk with Markus from Asia Media Publishing by a former client of the AMP Group. Markus showed an immediate interest in our work and a good understanding of our needs.

Describe the scope of their work in detail.

Further to the initial set of meetings, we discussed various elements of a campaign that involved online, print and radio media to secure the results we were looking for.

What was the team composition?

We worked closely with Markus and several others in his team to implement the strategy - ranging from digital marketing, to press release scripting and shooting interview footage with AMP Group's camera crew.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The artist in question secured good traction, over and above normal results that had been achieved. This has led to an ongoing growth in traction and streaming of the artist's music in the region.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very good - the essential mix of native Thai speakers with Markus's perfect grasp of the European approach worked well.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Efficiency, speed, and quality of work. All vital when budgets are tight and timelines need to be met.

Are there any areas for improvement?

In short, there were not really any areas that were unsatisfactory. We are grateful for the partnership.

We wanted to establish more contacts and increase our business locally.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They helped expand and grow our business through video production and marketing services. For the video, they handled pre- and post-production work to create an informative video to tell our customers about our services. We feature it on our website and YouTube. The marketing services were primarily on social media. They also leveraged their contacts to help us sell more tour tickets. 

What is the team composition?

I worked with two people from their group. My main point of contact was Markus (CEO, Asia Media Publishing Group).

We followed a referral from someone else we work with. After seeing their work, we were happy and impressed so we chose them.

We’ve been working together from 2017–April 2019.

Their efforts helped us identify what marketing methods and areas were most worth spending time and money in.
