Stuff search and recommend us many qualified candidates. We appreciate the fact that there was quantity and quality at the same time. Also, every time we needed help (to schedule fast or to reschedule an interview, to ask something), the stuff was on point, all the time there to reply. The team always go with our "ideal candidate" description and when they need, they always ask for a calibration call. Until now, there is no need for a suggestion for a better result.

We were hiring people and trying to do it on our own using various platforms. However, it was challenging because we were a startup. I was working on the hiring process while writing code at the same time. 

As a result, we decided to work with another company to help us with the process, but we weren’t satisfied with the first company. We then switched to Art2Hire.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Art2Hire has helped us hire iOS engineers. Initially, we had a few calls to clarify our expectations. We provided a list of our requirements and determined how we could proceed. Our teams agreed that they’d start by doing some candidate screening on their side. 

So far, we’ve received regular emails from Art2Hire with descriptions of candidates. They do the screening and then organize interviews on our side. We interview the candidates — if we’re not happy with what we have, we change some of our requirements for Art2Hire to provide better candidates.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve filled the lead engineer position and are happy with the hire. He’s helped us fix errors in our code and will implement a few changes in the next couple of months. The new hire has also worked on features, and he communicates well. 

How did Art2Hire perform from a project management standpoint?

Art2Hire has been great. They communicate well via phone calls, emails, and WhatsApp. We use Calendly to arrange the calls with the candidates. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

What’s remarkable about Art2Hire is how they prepare the candidates’ information, which has been truly helpful. The team provides great insights about what they liked about each candidate, what has been discussed about the product with them, and other helpful contextual information. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. We haven’t had any negative experiences with them. Some requirements have taken more time than others, but we’ve changed those requirements a lot, so it’s not an issue on their side.

Formulate your requirements clearly. That way, they can filter and find better candidates.

Consequently, they search for a good candidate within our criteria to send us their profiles and schedule a meeting to take the process from there.

They also do the pre-screening for us and provide follow-up whenever we don’t find what we’re looking for.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They have found recruits that are a good fit for us and add value to our team. For example, the IT security person has improved our overall security and created protocols that addressed issues that we were having, including our email concerns. Since we have more than 300 people working around the globe, having a reliable IT security person has been crucial for us.

On top of that, the engineer that they’ve helped us hire works quickly, and we’re happy with the quality of his work. Overall, we’re satisfied with the partnership because they really search for suitable candidates we could onboard in our company.

Their communication is on point, and they’re responsive. We communicate via email and Telegram, and we have conference calls as needed.

Art2Hire is more responsive than our previous recruiting agencies; they frequently provide feedback, and they ensure that we always communicate. They’re also genuinely interested in finding the right recruits as if they’re hiring for their own business.

SInce the very start of our cooperation we have done turn-key full-cycle recruitment for one international company - hiring people from middle to C-level. At the moment this company is successfully running its business on Ukrainian and US markets.

The hiring process is perfectly adjusted from the side of Art2Hire. Perfect combination of pricing policy and services provided. Competent technical recruiters, experienced management team.

Art2Hire always keeps up with the times and follows new market trends. They are always open for challenges. They are a team of professionals, have good management. They could provide legal and accounting service if needed. I mean you can have turnkey office and this what makes them really cool!

Deluxe Modular is a 100-person modular construction company in the US. As the CTO, I have a staff of about five people with eight others in Ukraine.

We needed a company that could provide recruiting and business operation services in Ukraine. Our team mainly relies on Art2Hire for support as we hire Ukrainian developers.

What was the scope of their involvement? 

First and foremost, Art2Hire provides recruiting services to grow our dev team. We give them job descriptions for the positions we’re looking for, and they refer individuals to us for the final interview. This process involves pre-screening each candidate to make sure that they only send us applicants who met our criteria. They also provide HR services to handle any issues with our Ukrainian team. 

What is the team composition? 

I work with 2–3 people on the recruiting side and one designated HR specialist.

How did you come to work with Art2Hire?

My product manager recommended them to me, so I called them to ask about their recruiting process. I wanted to know which aspects they found valuable, where they found people, and how they vet candidates.

Based on that discussion, I had a great impression of their company. They seemed knowledgeable in the local context and had good connections. Not to mention, they were really personable.

How much have you invested with them?

Their rates are reasonable. We’ve spent about $16,000 for recruiting, which will likely grow as we keep hiring. For their HR services, we pay about $500 per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with them in mid-June 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I can’t give any hard metrics yet, however, I enjoy working with the people we’ve hired. They’re fantastic and do their job well. 

It’s the same on the HR side. Our specialist has helped a lot in establishing our HR process and reaching out to team members. They’ve even made suggestions on ways we could improve our culture so that we could best accommodate our team members.

How did Art2Hire perform from a project management standpoint?

I’m not sure how they organize the recruitment process on their end, but they’ve been organized so far. I appreciate that they’re open to working with my team. 

For example, we went back and forth on establishing our specific recruitment process with my product manager, providing them with documents that we wanted them to use. Those were shared in Google Docs, but we actually use Jira to track the candidates. 

The HR specialist also uses Confluence to develop all of our documentation standards.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was initially drawn to them because they’re a recruiting and management consulting company that specializes in tech, which means that they understand the latest trends in the industry. 

But, beyond that, they have a big focus on culture and team happiness. They’re aware of what it takes to make sure that people feel supported, especially when you have teams that are working remotely. They start by understanding the team culture, then find individuals who fit that culture.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind. I’m getting everything that I wanted.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Put in the time to meet with them to make sure that you’re aligned on the same objectives. That’s the best opportunity to work out a solid recruitment process because each business is different. 

When we first started, we didn’t know what we were doing. We relied on Art2Hire’s expertise. They were willing to work with us to develop a process that made the most sense for our business and met our priorities.

We were very satisfied with their services. For an outside agency, they did a good job of looking into the product, what it was about, the kind of people we were looking for, and the values we wanted them to have. It was almost as good as having an internal recruiting team.

We established KPIs. For each position, we had priorities, deadlines, and we managed it through an internal management system. The communication was via phone and email. We used BambooHR and eventually Zoho.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They helped me work through all my recruiting needs and I didn’t have any problems. I was completely confident that they’d help us succeed. I didn’t need to worry about it. For an outsourcing company, they’re very good.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There were always a percentage of candidates that weren’t a good match. There were some issues with the basic screening but that was only occasional and nothing major.

Try and make the processes of working together as transparent as possible. Give them access to information about the project so they can have a full understanding of what they need.
