Our company provides easy to use website development tools to users on SAAS based model. There are 12 employees in our organization and I am the head of product development.

We hired Arohatech for conceptualization of our business requirements, designing UI/UX and developing the website (our SAAS portal) with required functionalities.

Our goal was to build an user friendly website tool, where one can choose from predefined beautiful themes and get their whitelabeled business website running within minutes. Much like what Wix does but with the power of Wordpress CMS.

We found them online and they are the only company we contacted. At first stage, their experience and awards caught our attention and later they proved it with excellent demonstration of their skills. So we didn't have to go anywhere else.

They designed complete UI/UX and developed the website where one can choose from multiple themes, customize settings and launch their website. Arohatech also helped us in Membership Management, Payment Gateways and various other functional aspects of our SaaS web portal. Basically, they were involved with Consulting, Design and Development services.

They followed AGILE SCRUM with a team size of 5.

We are human resource management company helping connect Job Seekers with Employers with the help of technology. We are a start up with 25 Employees and 30 strategic partners spread across various geographies such as US, UK, Australia and India. Earlier we used to screen candidates manually using Excel and similar tools which was not efficient specially when dealing with millions of job seeker profiles. We had similar issues with managing our client activities. So, we decided to hire Arohatech for designing and development of our Recruitment Tools for pre-assessment, screening of jobs and job seekers profile, managing data and reporting. They helped us in automating our processes with the help of easy to use and interactive interface. We also got developed a CRM for managing our customers. They also helped us in setting up our hosting environment along with designing couple of landing pages. This was complimentary :-)

What were your goals for this project?

Being a startup, it was imperative that the web application and tools that we are going to get developed should not only cover our business requirements but also be cost effective. This system was going to be the backbone of our business model and without it our growth could have stagnated. Looking at the requirements and cost factors we decided to go with Content Management System and customizing it to our business requirements. We were after User Roles Management, highly efficient search module, Custom form fields, Data Master, and a responsive interface which can be accessed on any device. We also envisioned about having a custom-built reporting dashboard which can display reports and critical information to us and our clients in real time. After discussion with Arohatech, we finally agreed on going with Drupal CMS as our backend system and ReactJS based real time dashboards. WebSocket, Rest APIs, MySQL and Elasticsearch are few other technologies used in our web application backend.

How did you select this vendor?

We initially tried to hire a company through a freelancing portal but that didn’t work out. Finally, we posted our requirements on few Linkedin Groups. There we got in touch with Arohatech along with several hundred companies. Since, pre-assessment of profiles is what we generally do, we were able to shortlist 5 companies very easily. We had several conversations with all of them and after thorough due diligence we decided to go with Arohatech.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

This is a web application built for our internal use which can automatically perform application tracking by analyzing each job requirement and suggesting best matched candidates. The system allows us to efficiently perform advanced search on millions of candidate records within few seconds. There is an inbuilt CRM system which helps us in managing our sales pipeline and keeping track of activities related to our customers and job seekers. The backend of our application is secured with proper roles and permissions management for our staff. There is a custom built front-end interface which is accessible only to our clients where they can see the real time reports, detailed analytics using Artificial Intelligence and know-how of our recruitment stages. Arohatech helped us in prototyping, designing and developing all these features. They also managed our Cloud Hosting on Amazon AWS and took care of all Devops related requirements.

In our case, CEO of the company was our direct point of contact. Along with him we were assigned a project manager, a designer, 4 developers and a QA.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

Of course. Before we started this project, we were having hard time in managing requirements of our customers. There were around 10 big clients at that point, and we were like up to our neck. But after successful implementation of this web portal our efficiency has grown by 300%. Now we are managing around 30 big clients and over 100 small businesses with same workforce that we had before this project. And our success rate has also improved drastically.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

As advised by Arohatech, we decided to go with Agile Scrum approach for this project. Though we already knew what exactly is required to be developed, but Agile offered us additional control over whole project so we agreed to it. We used Jira and Confluence for managing our sprints and documentations. This was our first experience with these tools and terms like Scrum, Sprint etc so in the beginning we faced few hiccups due to lack of our knowledge or you could say due to time zone differences and other small issues that are inevitable while working with an offshore development company. But finally, we must say that fantastic support and guidance from Arohatech made us zoom past these challenges quite easily.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

We appreciate all the efforts they put into our project. Their knowledge, support, people, communication, execution skills were great. They were excellent in almost all areas of their operations.

Are there any areas for improvement?

I think they should look into the tools that they use for project management. We had hard time working on Jira. I know it’s the best Agile tool available in the market, but some easy to use alternatives for clients like us would make a huge difference.

The auction portal was a re-sellable white label application designed for charities to host their own, branded, online fundraising auctions. The application gives full control to the user allowing them to customize and specialize auction parameters. ArohaTech provided various services related to and directly in the application.

This included; Building a workflow application From initial briefing to deployment, Arohatech took the lead in the production process Helping in User Interface design They helped us in wireframing and designing the UI. Programming Arohatech developed the programming and the logic behind the application using PHP, ReactJS, Elasticsearch, MySQL, etc.

Project Mangement Arohatech assigned Abhi to our project and he led the teams through the production process ensuring milestone dates were met, budgets were maintained, and approvals were sought early and frequently so there was no feeling of having our backs up against the wall.
