BACKGROUND

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the owner of Jessica Bell Design, a company that designs book covers and accompanying assets for authors and publishing houses.

For what projects/services did your company hire AR media?

AR Media designed the website jessicabelldesign.com.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I had used the services of their sister company, AgentRepresents.com, for video production, for another venture I'm running.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

First I briefed my needs, which they requested through a questionnaire. We exchanged a few emails, and had a video call to see if we would collaborate well together. It was very important to represent my personality, so we talked about that a lot (aka branding). Then we had the option to work through Adobe XD sculpturing a custom design from scratch, but we decided to go with a cheaper and faster option of choosing a ready Wordpress theme/template and customizing that. Then they gave me access to an online beta version and we communicated modifications via email and screenshots with descriptions.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I only communicated with the account manager and the creative director, but I know there were other people working on the project.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Yes. Most of my clients tell me how much they love my website and that it brings across my personality. They even point out certain elements that made them laugh and smile. Most importantly, my design requests have gone through the roof and I can hardly keep up. I even had to hire an assistant to deal with the extra work.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

They were very nice and easy to work with. Keeping deadlines was an issue, but as a creative myself, I didn't mind, because I get it. Sometimes good creativity comes with a cost.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I was extremely surprised by their creative suggestions. They were things I wouldn't have thought of myself, but wish I had. They also pushed me to risk using unconventional elements, which I originally was worried about, but it turns out is my website's greatest feature and is constantly mentioned. Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They need more clocks. Ones that flash and with alarms. Haha!
