Phase one: deliver a bespoke build mobile application to enable ARVRA to enter the corporate marketplace as well as have a consumer option in global app stores. The requirements were for a fullstack engineering team to be dedicated to the project working closely to product roadmap and design the platform. ARVRA required varied expertise from Appy Monkey therefore required an extensive delivery team, business analyst, proejct manager, tehcnical lead, UX/UI designer and a QA engineer.
There were to be mulitple releases, one an enhancement on version 1.0 which would utilise data and learnings to deliver a refined product in version 2.0. There was also to be a whitelabelled product for one of our key clients.
Further to this Appy Monkey were to provide ongoing maintenance and support.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
The key measurable was having a solution in global app stores which subscribers could download. There were also smaller measures, particularly with version 2.0. These were refinements to v1.0. The measurables here were to interpeet usgae data to improve user experience. Working with the Appy Monkey team we identified user friction points and aim to reduce them therefore seeing higher retention and engagement scores.

I'm an owner of a football tips company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Appy Monkey?
We have a website, and the big problem we had was most of our tips are in-play. When we post an in-play tip, we needed an instantaneous push that people could get through an app. That would eliminate SMSs, which would lower our costs and help us reach a greater market.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
They've really transformed our business. They came up with the idea and designed software. We usually use Bet365, and now the tip comes through as a push notification with a link that leads to the live game and the bet. Users can be anywhere and key into the action. They built the app from scratch, based on our ideas. The collaboration is ongoing, and we hope to improve the look and feel further.
What is the team composition?
I worked directly with two people in the UK. I can see all the teams, and we have access to other contacts working on the project.
How did you come to work with Appy Monkey?
We looked at different companies and approached a few. They were honest with us, and we liked their website.
How much have you invested with them?

The number of signups is really considerable, even without a proper marketing campaign. Just through word of mouth, the transformation is massive. We wanted to offer a fourteen-day trial period, which was tricky. We've made it work, and we're one of the few tipster services that makes money.

The team was comprised of a project manager, a UI/UX designer, a team manager, and three software development engineers. We worked closely with the project manager to give feedback during our sprint reviews and testing periods.

What outcomes or results can you share that demonstrate progress and/or success?
Appy Monkey delivered a very aesthetically pleasing, powerful application that has met our standards and beyond.
Based on the quality of communication between us and the project manager, we were able to identify potential issues quickly and efficiently which resulted in the project being delivered on time. It allowed us to demonstrate a working version of the application in order to secure more funding from various exhibitions and trade shows.
My experience with Appy Monkey so far has been absolutely fantastic. It was a big step for us to come up with an idea and act on it; Appy Monkey gave us the confidence, reassurance, and guidance necessary to deliver an awesome product. They continue to support us as we prepare to launch and we're about to enter into a maintenance agreement with them moving forward. Their continued support to us in invaluable.
How effective was the project management?
Mike was absolutely fantastic from the beginning. The entire team was just as enthusiastic as we were, which inspired some fantastic design/development concepts for the finished product. The communication was also brilliant, with regular updates in between. They also worked round the clock in order to meet deadlines.
Mike showed a real understanding of our goals from the beginning and worked as if it was his own project, which was invaluable and gave us great confidence in an industry that we're not all too familiar with. We mainly communicated over Skype and Teamwork.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I really think that their enthusiasm and clear and effective communication during this project made it a success for us. I would never have expected a company to take so much care and interest in what it is that we're trying to achieve as a small startup.
Other companies we approached took far too long to get back to us, making it seem like we were just another project to them. While Appy Monkey did have more than one project going on, we were never made to feel as if we weren't a priority.
