We’re quite pleased with our ROI so far; previously, we didn’t rank within the top 10 for any of our targeted keywords. With AppFillip’s support, we’ve been able to better refine our approach and have increased our search rankings, which is a big win for us.
We also appreciated their strong marketing knowledge. They created successful strategies (e.g., review templates) to boost our visibility while also giving strong feedback and tips about our app. If we have any app marketing related questions, we can consult them as an inexpensive alternative to local agencies.
How did AppFillip perform from a project management standpoint?
Despite being overseas, they’re responsive communicators and work hard to accommodate our needs. We typically coordinate via Skype but have also met them in person shortly after the start of the engagement. I happened to be traveling to India and mentioned it to them, and they took the initiative to meet me and understand my goals. I liked that they were proactive enough to do that.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Because AppFillip is trying to make a name for themselves, they’re passionate about their craft and are willing to do what it takes to get results. They measure our success as their own, which pushes them to work hard. While it’s still too early to assess their performance, based on what they’ve done, we’re confident that they’ll do well.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Since our app can be hard to grasp, it would be beneficial if they communicated more upfront to understand everything before developing marketing content. They were able to get the bigger picture but, at times, couldn’t see the minute details. On occasion, we had to send back content or make edits, but this is typical of any marketing project. On our side, we could have been more patient in explaining the nuances in our technology.

Allocate time upfront to talk about your goals and give a full explanation of the product to minimize assumptions.
Internal stakeholders were satisfied with the results of the collaboration. The app has been downloaded a significant number of times. AppFillip was a professional, reliable worker.
