How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
Value was the final decision-maker for us. The competitors that we vetted had a few more features that we liked, but App Radar was the best-priced tool that did everything we needed.

We had a few preliminary calls to ensure all the proper stakehodlers were present. They then did an audit of both our postings in the App Store and Google Play Store to show us where we had room for improvement and where we were already winning. From there, they provided copy and content that we could use to optimize our keywords and made suggestions based on companies in our same industry. We opted to make all of the changes ourselves, but this was something that App Radar was willing to help with as well.

We worked with about 3 people on this project: a Customer Success Manager, an App Marketing Manager, and an App Store Auditor (I do not know the technical title of this last person but they assisted with the audit).

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?
We saw an increase in strategic user acquisition. We also improved our position in the app stores with addition of new keywords into our descriptions and titles. We found that we were using the wrong device in some of our screenshots, so we were able to make this correction and ensure that we are putting our best foot forward with prospective users. This project was very much a success for our company.
How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?
Even being separated by multiple time zones and an ocean, we were able to find a time that worked for both companies to meet. We also were able to setup a shared Slack channel for less critical communication. We were happy with the workflow.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?
We were so happy with the level of expertise from Jakob and Deniz. They were very helpful and patient as we were learning about ASO.

Additionally, a consultation of our current store assets, in particular, store screenshots has been made, after which several (still ongoing) rounds of A/B testing in our core markets followed to improve our store conversion rates and improve screenshot designs according to our user's needs.

On a regular base, we worked with two App Marketing Managers and got support from their Localization and Design team.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Throughout the project we were able to track improved performance related to the keyword measures (such as the number of ranked keywords, improved category rankings, etc.) as well as increased CVRs in our stores related to the screenshot updates.

Through our regular communication on Slack as well as bi-weekly calls, we were able to maintain an efficient workflow.

The App Radar team first made a competitor analysis for us and we decided which ones where direct competitiórs and set our goals. Additionally we made a creative analysis of the app in the stores including screens etc. on a third level we went through each keyword and description in the app stores and optimised them.App Radar also recommended further To-Dos for us that we could also implement on our own.

We needed help acquiring users from the App Store and the Google Play Store. We did not have experience with App Store Optimization (ASO) and turned to App Radar for help.

We talked to 3 or 4 ASO agencies. App Radar offered a lot of expertise and experience, allowed us to start small and scale up, and started at a reasonable price point.

App Radar has provided us with full-scale ASO. They take care of creatives, keyword research and optimization, competitor analysis, paid ads, and more. Basically everything we can ask for in order to market our app for Apple and Google. We are planning to use them for social media advertising as well, but we have not started that yet.

I have worked with 4 people. I have talked to Sales people, ASO experts, paid advertising experts.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
When we started using these services, we saw roughly double our previous traffic within a month. We ranked higher for many keywords and had a much broader set of keywords. Our creatives looked better and our conversion rates improved. Paid ads has added fuel to the fire and kept the quick growth going.

We communicate primarily via slack. We have a lot going on and App Radar is good about reminding me when I still need to get them information, materials or feedback. I wanted them to take this off of my plate and to not think about it too much, they have definitely done that.

They are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They did a good job laying out options and giving solid recommendations. Their results have been great, and that is really the most important thing for me.

Depending on area we have been working with different members from the team. Now our key contact is the account manager which gives us weekly updates on the campaigns and organizes monthly meetings to discuss next steps, changes, ideas, etc.

It was and still is a very successful project with them. Managed to increase downloads and conversion (decrease in customer acquisition costs) over time due to several iterations and improvements.

We always perceived the interactions with the team as very productive and efficient. Besides the short update calls (which are always perfectly prepared from their side) we have a slack channel to communicate frequently on more urgent topics.
