I’m the lead project developer at MSKnote Ltd. We offer a digital health application that lets clinicians create bespoke treatment plans patients can access on their mobile devices. I’m responsible for successfully building, deploying, and maintaining web and mobile applications and APIs.

We discovered that our mobile app, developed by a third-party agency, had been built with outdated packages and libraries. We didn't have any in-house developers with mobile experience, so we decided to outsource.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to fix and update the app so we could run it locally. The ultimate goal is to eventually bring any further development in-house.

They’re updating, fixing, and making alterations to our existing mobile app using React Native.

What was the team composition?

We work with an outsourced senior developer, who communicates with our local developer.

They quickly repaired and updated the app, allowing us to deploy critical changes. Ongoing support and advice have allowed us to implement further changes that our client has since requested.

It’s been highly efficient. Communication is succinct and professional, and there have been no delays or misunderstandings regarding the developer's work or availability.

We regularly face the problem that there is not enough resources available internally to run a large project properly.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We always ask Vlad (Head of Sales & Partnerships, AOG.jobs) to search for a person (Magento Sr. Developer) with a certain profile. In addition, we always supply from our side what kind of project the developer will work on. After this we always have at least 2 interviews. Where interview 1 always focuses on the knowledge (Magento 2) of the developer. This is always fully arranged by Vlad!

If I have to mention one thing it might be more of an upgrade. That a test is taken beforehand from the developer in terms of knowledge and level. That this is then shared with the profile.
