AIA Pittsburgh - Blueprint for a Better Pittsburgh
Anthem Video worked with the American Institute of Architecture in Pittsburgh to produce a documentary video that engages public officials, business leaders, and the general public in the importance architecture in planning Pittsburgh’s future. It is currently a finalist in the AIA National Film Festival.

UPMC - Cultural Tour of Pittsburgh
Pittsburgh has a lot of rich history, vibrant neighborhoods, and flavorful restaurants to visit. During COVID, it’s hard to show that to prospective doctors who might be looking to study, train, or practice here. So, we met up with doctors around the city, sat down with them, ate some food, asked some questions, and produced a pretty cool look into what our city is all about.

West Virginia University - Family Experience Documentary
When WVUCED came to us looking for a way to show medicalstudents the patient family experience, we were able to make avideo that did just that. When asked about the project, WVU’s Roger May said;
“From the outset, Anthem Video was a pleasure to work with. They were responsive, open to our input and feedback throughout the entire process, and quick to respond to questions and changes. Their energy was infectious and their timeliness was impeccable. I hope we'll be able to work with them on future projects. I highly recommend them for your next project!”

What Is Prototype Pittsburgh?
For a video producer, walking into Prototype PGH for the first time was like entering another world – with countless tools on pegboards, crafting materials everywhere, and 3D printers laying around, it was magical. We wanted to somehow convey that feeling through video, and tell the story of Prototype in the process.

Toyota - Mobility Stories
Toyota North America worked with Anthem to produce a storytelling video highlighting a dealership in Meadville, PA - and how the company is overall adapting to be more than just a dealership.

Shoestring Bridges
Grand Prize winner at the 2019 Carnegie Mellon International Film Festivals Short Film Competition, Shoestring Bridges tells the story of a tight knit group of Pittsburgh outdoor enthusiasts, who spend most of their time hundreds of feet in the air, walking across 2” pieces of nylon.

Peoples - Where Does Your Money Go?
As a pillar of the Pittsburgh community, Peoples has a pretty substantial service footprint and wanted a clear and entertaining way to communicate to their customers what bills pay for. We produced an animated video that does just that! We’re especially proud of the pizza analogies.

In Bloom — Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens
In an installation in the Anthem original series, ‘In Bloom,’ we interviewed the Edible Garden Manager at Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens to discuss why community gardens are important and what they can provide for the community.

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I am the marketing communications coordinator of an organization called the Oakland Business Improvement District. We are a government entity serving the business district of Oakland, the neighborhood in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Our members are all property business owners within the district, and I focus on all things outward-facing for the organization, whether that is promotions, event planning, or anything else of that nature.
What challenge were you trying to address with Anthem Video?
They worked with us to promote a block party that we were hosting in celebration of a public art piece. We put up streetlights in one particular part of the district, and they created a video of the event that took place to celebrate those lights.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Anthem Video came to the site to take footage while the event was going on. From there, they edited it and compiled it into a video that would summarize and promote what had been done for the neighborhood. The final product was a little over 2 minutes long and they handled the production from the beginning to getting it posted on YouTube and sent out via our email list.
What is the team composition?
Our main point of contact for the project was Steven (Owner, Anthem Video) and he had a team working with him behind the scenes. There were two people on the set to record the video in the first place but I’m not sure what the post-production team looked like on their end.
How did you come to work with Anthem Video?
They actually approached us about the project after we started promoting the event before it occurred. We thought that they would be able to provide a pretty valuable service to us, so we decided to hire them.
How much have you invested with them?
I don’t know the exact amount we spent on the project, but they provided us with a very affordable rate, so I don’t think it was much over $5,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
The project took place in March 2019 and was finished within the month.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The video was sent to our members and stakeholders and received at least 6,000 views, which is great in terms of our usual levels of publicity for events like these. We got a lot of great feedback from the community and our board as well and have made people more interested in coming to Oakland in general.
Everyone involved in the project was incredibly happy with how the quality of the video turned out. It was shot perfectly, the editing was great, and they included all of the best highlights from the event without any real direction from us, which we really appreciated.
How did Anthem Video perform from a project management standpoint?
They are very responsive and professional. It was a completely enjoyable experience from start to finish, in large part because of the clear technical experience and personal skills which they are able to bring together in their work.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The project was one of those rare situations where we didn’t have to explain anything to them — they just knew what they were doing. Their team delivered a fast turnaround time with absolutely no compromise in the quality of the work. That autonomy was very valuable to us as a small organization, because we all have a lot of responsibilities and not having to worry about this video in addition to those helped significantly.
Are there any areas they could improve?
If I had any improvements for them, I would be more than happy to give them, but the project was extremely painless. Whenever the opportunity arises to work with them again, I would love to take it.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
They’re a perfect fit for someone who doesn’t know how to describe what they want. If you can give them even a general idea, they are creative enough to run with it and deliver a great final product.
The final product delivered by Anthem Video was extremely high-quality and effectively captured the spirit and main highlights of the event. Their team worked independently, leaving the client free to focus on their core responsibilities, and completed the video well within the requested deadlines.
