What challenge were you trying to address with Angela Colville?

We needed to do a voiceover on one of our animation videos.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Angela Colville provided voiceover services. We had a collaborative script that we’d worked on beforehand with the video production company. We went through the entire script with Angela (Voice Over Artist) through a Zoom meeting. She used broadcast-quality sound from her home studio with Source Connect, and the video production company matched the voiceover with the animation video.

We only worked with Angela.

How did you come to work with Angela Colville?

Our video production company had a pool of voice actors that they usually work with. They sent us a list of three choices that they thought would be appropriate for our brand. We listened to the different actors, and our favorite was Angela, so we hired her through the video production company.

How much have you invested with them?

The cost was wrapped into the video production pricing, but it was less than $10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in July 2022. We first had one voiceover session, and then she did another recording to rework the script in October 2022.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We haven’t used the video yet because we haven’t launched our website and brand. However, the people that saw the animation with her voiceover gave excellent feedback on the video and her voice. In general, they said that it was unique and helped to get the message across effectively.

How did Angela Colville perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management was perfect. We communicated through Zoom and LinkedIn.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Angela was passionate about her work and determined to give us the best outcome. For example, we kept working on one script sentence, but she didn’t give up. We were impressed with her tenacity and professionalism. She didn’t sacrifice the quality of her work despite the time she had to put into it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there wasn’t anything to improve.

Keep open communication; don’t be afraid to talk things through.
