I was doing programming in my free time doing projects and taking courses. It all started as a hobby. At some point, programming took me most of my time and became a full-time job.

I love programming for a number of reasons: an ability to use my analytical thinking, create meaningful projects, ability to work from home and spend more time with my wife and my family.

I am the creative director and founder of the online hip-hop radio station Big Noise Radio (BNG). I oversee content creation and website development. Located in California, we broadcast music worldwide.

We needed to redesign our website and update our WordPress Platform. Also, our radio player was initially designed using Flash, which was no longer supported by the World Wide Web community. Our radio show required constant maintenance because we manually changed radio shows using FTP. Finally, our previous web designer had not completed certain aspects of the website.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed to update the radio player function as well as its look and feel on our web page. We also wanted to automate radio show management.

How did you select this vendor?

We searched for web design services on Clutch.co and communicated with a few great vendors. My team chose to partner with AndyAndUX because they immediately understood our vision. Their pricing schedule was fair and in line with our budget.

Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.

My company provided AndyAndUX with a detailed vision for function and aesthetics. They fixed the website issues that our previous designer had left unresolved. Andrii (Web Developer & Founder, AndyAndUX) created custom code and went through a few iterations. Andrii and his design team automated radio show management and distributed the new audio player on web page sidebars. They completed integration and migration of our Big Commerce online store to the new Woo-Commerce platform.

What was the team composition?

We primarily collaborated with Andrii, who oversaw the design team.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

The new player’s sound quality, function, responsiveness, and design are amazing. Radio shows are now automatically changed every 24 hours, whereas previously they had to be manually changed. New radio shows are integrated into the pool by simply uploading new folders to the FTP. The new system has streamlined radio show management, which allows my team to focus on content development and growing Big Noise Radio. Initial feedback from our global listener network has been extremely positive.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Once we delivered our vision, AndyAndUX required very little from us while they developed complex coding and functional requirements. They understood the subtleties of the project. The design team did all WordPress and e-commerce tasks while Andrii took ownership of the necessary code and logistics. 

Communication was professional and polite. The team responded to emails within 24 hours, and they did not allow the time difference to hinder work progress or delivery schedule. They remained available throughout the project, which is not always the case in the design industry. Service quality and delivery time were consistent throughout the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Andrii and his superb design team exceeded my expectations. Andrii provided a personal touch that is critical to urban brands and unconventional projects such as ours. Although our audio system is rather complex, Andrii optimized the player performance in just a few iterations and delivered a state-of-the-art audio player.

AndyAndUX delivered fantastic service and operated with integrity. They were an attentive and caring partner that communicated well and responded to feedback quickly. We will undoubtedly reengage AndyAndUX in the future. AndyAndUX is well-equipped to deliver success to all businesses, from small startups to large corporations.

AndyAndUX is a growing freelance business, and I’m sure minor issues will resolve over time. Andrii has done a great job so far.

I am the CEO of Telebroad, a company that offers businesses feature-rich, cloud-based communications solutions. I don't personally oversee our digital product team, but I closely watch their work and observe their "bottom line" success.

Our client welcoming center, which helps customers set up new accounts, needed an efficient portal to direct and assist customers while porting their number and setting up special features. We decided to outsource professionals who had specific knowledge in customer UI/UX and who know what customers expect and like in an online wizard.

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted a more automated process that could reduce the amount of manual explanations our staff provides, make the process easier for customers to understand, and reduce the manpower normally required to answer those needs.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We reviewed quite a few vendors, and even scrapped some previous work by online freelancers because the results weren't good. After receiving a recommendation from another happy AndyAndUX customer and reviewing some of their past work, we decided to give them a try.

They designed a special setup wizard and online portal to streamline our process. Each step was professionally communicated about, drafted, and managed. We had zero surprises, except for the better than expected outcome. 

What was the team composition?

Since I didn't personally oversee development, it's hard for me to divulge this information. However, I know they had a very well-kept team that communicated with us to help this project succeed.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The wizard increased our customer satisfaction while reducing our setup overhead by more than 50%. This enabled us to bring on many more clients and get them up and running much faster, which made everyone happier.

They have a very effective workflow. They gather all the information about what you currently have and what you don't like. They know know exactly what you expect and what doesn't work. They make sure not to repeat anyone else's mistakes.

I was most impressed by their expertise and knowledge of customer expectations. They nailed it on their first shot and quickly improved from customer feedback.

They could take more clients and make more people happy.

Our shop has 600 visitors a day. We had 10 competitors, both direct and indirect, so we wanted our design to stand out and our UX to be good. We wanted to ensure that our design was visually attractive and that our users had the best possible UX.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

They have saved us more than $30,000, which we planned to spend on the redesign of our website. Their UX research clearly demonstrated that there was no need to redesign the visuals on our website. The aspects that mainly needed redesign were purely technical functions.

We communicated directly on Skype, with face-to-face meetings once in a while.
