A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the President of Phase 1 vision, we distribute automated equipment, specifically machine vision. Our company inspects or measures with robotics or other types of automation tools in order to enable other businesses to inspect food, pharmaceuticals, automotive, aircraft, semiconductors, and other several industries.
What challenge were you trying to address with Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance?
We wanted to increase our marketing strategies in order to cater to our customers in different fields.
What was the scope of their involvement?
Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance has done quite a few things for us. To start, The team created a web design. After that, we were faced with a problem on what to do with our leads and how to organize it.
As a result, Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance built a customized contact management system in order to help us manage our leads effectively. It was not only useful for us but also to our suppliers so they could see how many leads they have and what type they are.
For the third project, we were having a difficult time with the multiple systems we have, namely our ERP system, CRM, and lead tracking platform. To make our workflow easier, the team offered to build us a CRM that can enable salespeople to decide whether a particular potential customer should be left in the lead database. If not, we can effortlessly transfer it to a usable part of our salesman’s efforts.
The next project was the email blasts. Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance built an automated system that allowed us to grab opportunities depending on our customer’s reactions. We were able to see if somebody already received it, opened it, and if someone went to our website. In connection to that, we had prepared different responses to each situation, with the ultimate goal of closing deals.
We also hired the team to provide data mining. We provided Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance with the information we wanted to get and they submitted everything we asked for. On the creative side, the team created little video clips for us which are featured on our website.
For content, they have encouraged us to do e-books so that our customers can easily access resources about a certain topic. They also craft 4–5 blogs each month. Moreover, Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance also takes care of our Twitter.
After some time, I realized that I spent too much time managing our PPC efforts and we asked them to take care of it. I always give a set budget and they work within that price.
With that, we were able to do some remarketing. When a person visits our site, we have a cookie that follows where the customer is going to go, and when they visit a store, our ad pops up. Since Google has a special algorithm, they taught us to create original content in order to raise our ranking.
For our latest collaboration, our company just finished creating a manual. We wrote it and sent it to Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance so that they could put it in a format, get it printed, and do the graphics. They handle everything A-Z for us.
What is the team composition?
For the blog, we talk to 2–3 people, namely the technical writer, account manager, and graphic designer. That team composition ensures that we’re picking the right topics for our audience, something current and beneficial to our target market.
But for the whole project, we talk to 10–12 people. Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance also has software programmers, social media people, and more. With the number of projects we have with them, they assigned a coordinator to manage everything.
How did you come to work with Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance?
Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance came to us and changed how we worked. I asked for a recommendation from a few people and they recommended 4–5. From the interviews we conducted, we picked them.
How much have you invested with them?
In total, we’ve spent between $1 million–$9 million, so far.
What is the status of this engagement?
We started working together in January 1996 and we continue to collaborate with Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance team made a very good website with us. We got good rankings for our industry and it’s partly because they excel at research. They make sure they have all the details before they make a presentation.
Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance submits a report every month to update us with everything that’s going on. Further, they are also open to clarify if there’s anything vague or things we didn’t fully understand during our review.
How did Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance perform from a project management standpoint?
Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance constantly communicates with us and we get a monthly report for everything, including telephone calls. One of the reports I receive from them is a complete list of every person and, if available, their company name and location as well.
Moreover, we can also listen to the calls of our salespeople and observe all the conversation we receive from our site. Above all, they also identify if our leads are paid, organic, or if it came from a vendor.
We depend on Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance for everything, they are a one-stop-shop for anybody looking for proactive marketing. They take care of our marketing efforts and also do joint operations with our suppliers.
What did you find most impressive about them?
The most impressive thing about them is that they have the capability to do a lot of custom work. They’re also very driven and can make effective recommendations.
They’re really in tune with what our business is. I take Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance with me to shows because they help me. It’s made my job easier if I can get them to see and be more attuned to my industry.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance is best at B2B work but they could do so much more if they wanted to.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
We see Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance as such a big win.

Custom App Dev for Digital Marketing Consultant
“They enabled me to be more profitable as a consultant.”

A Clutch analyst personally interviewed this client over the phone. Below is an edited transcript.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the sole owner and sole consultant at a digital web consulting company. I work with creative media and tech agencies across the country.
What challenge were you trying to address with Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance?
When I work with different agencies, sometimes I need to do some SEO work on their website. Being that I try to do most of the work myself, I needed a way to increase my efficiency.
What was the scope of their involvement?
I thought a custom app could solve my issue. I had no idea what language it should be built in or what was possible from a feature and functionality standpoint. I relied on them to develop a solution.
The scope ended up being a custom app using ColdFusion. At the highest level, it worked as a scraper of the metadata for all of the pages on a website. It allowed me to make modifications inside of the tool and have someone from the client organization approve that data that I’m putting in there. Then, with the click of a button, it’s able to push that metadata up to the website. It works really well for what it was intended for.
What is the team composition?
I’ve spoken with five different members. There were two developers. Their founder/CEO was involved throughout the process and made sure that everything worked seamlessly. There as an app project manager as well.
How did you come to work with Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance?
I met their CEO through an MBA program a few years ago. He was an instructor in the program.
How much have you invested with them?
I spent between $52,000–$55,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We worked together from April 2017–April 2018.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
It definitely increased my efficiencies for the SEO work that I do by at least 50%. Having something that automatically does a lot of the manual, upfront work is really impactful from an efficiency standpoint. I’m able to get more done using this tool. It’s going to pay off in dividends.
How did Amplify Industrial Marketing & Guidance perform from a project management standpoint?
They were awesome. They updated me every week. It was a seamless experience. There was nothing that should have been done differently.
What did you find most impressive about them?
This team is very unique. I appreciated the relationship that we ended up developing throughout the process. They were fully engaged. They take the time to understand exactly what the needs are. They’re really invested in a long-term relationship. I’ll continue to work with them for years to come. I’d feel very comfortable referring them to any other agency or client that that needs their services. The relationship they cultivate is the most impressive to me.
Are there any areas they could improve?
I’d be pretty hard pressed to find something they could do better. They were amazing.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
A lot of clients think they know what they need, and they hire a company with a solution in mind. I think the better way to approach it would be to come with a challenge and let them figure it out based on their expertise and experience. Let them do what they’re great at.
