An intelligent first aid point for enterprises and institutions
AMC TECH designed a number of products for the medical industry, including in the areas of telemedicine, emergency, and diagnostics. One of them is an intelligent first aid point for enterprises and institutions.
The developed device not only contains all the necessary equipment for immediate assistance and securing the place of the accident, but also supports the person providing assistance in the proper conduct of rescue operations. A voice and visual instruction displayed on the first aid kit or tablet screen instructs users step by step on how to help in the event of burns, cuts, fractures, suspected heart attack, stroke, allergic reactions and other situations that may occur in the workplace.

Remote diagnostics and monitoring of Breathing Disorders During Sleep
We are pleased to inform you that amc TECH is carrying out another project for the healthcare sector! In March we signed a contract with Infoscan company for the implementation of the IoT device for sleep apnea monitoring and diagnosis. This device will record various types of biological signals and send them via GSM 📶 to a dedicated telemedicine system. Among others, the device will consist of a pulse oximetry module (POX), breathing disorders module (BDDS), and ECG/EEG/EMG module.

Rail Vehicle Identification System
AMC TECH has started another project for the railway industry. For Dr-Tech company, we will develop a Rail Vehicle Identification System (IPS), which will be used to inform and warn road users at category D railroad crossings about an oncoming train. Such places, not equipped with any traffic protection system, are over 58% of all rail crossings in Poland.

A cloud-based data repository for rehabilitation robotics
AMC TECH has started another project with the Swiss company HOCOMA, a global leader in the field of robotic rehabilitation. The aim of the cooperation is to build a cloud-based data repository for rehabilitation robotics. It will allow creating an important basis for future data-driven improvements in rehabilitation therapy by collecting research data on clinical assessments and robotic training in an easy and versatile way.
For AMC TECH it will be the second project for a Swiss manufacturer. In 2019, we developed a work time management system for hospital rehabilitation equipment, enabling remote management of the operation of rehabilitation machines and devices.

IoT projects
Recently amc TECH has completed two #iot projects for the Res Solution company. Our client is a Polish start-up that offers automated control and monitoring of energy-consuming devices.
💡🏠 Within the first project, we made a system for measuring and controlling the consumption of electricity. The device detects the absence of the household in the room using sensors and automatically turns off devices connected to the network, the operation of which is currently undesirable.
🌡️🏠 Next, we created the wireless thermostatic valve that allows remote control of the home heating system from your smartphone. By using the BLE and LoRA protocols enables temperature settings from anywhere in the world.

The system consists of the following elements: an electronic measuring radio module (2 types), a radio converter enabling 2-way communication with the modules, a database software and a mobile application for reading data on mobile devices.

The team consisted of a very insightful project manager, skilled electronic engineers and knowledgeable software developers.
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
After 6 months the basic MVP of the system was successfully delivered within agreed timelines, meeting our requirements. For the remaining 18 months, the system was constantly developed by adding new functionalities, optimizing the system in terms of power consumption and effectivnes of remote reading.
Of course, there were minor bugs in every release, but those were corrected within couple days after filling a report.

The workflow was smooth and structured. We have biweekly status updates. Primarily, we communicated via email and phone. Every 3 months we had face-to-face meetings at the AMC headquarter.

They are very personable and also, very professional. Tomasz, our Project Manager, was well-organized, open minded and utterly reliable.

There is always room for improvement, especially in IoT projects and AMC have proven themselves as fast learners fixing initial disparities. They listen carefuly and apply adequately. Their skills, experience and dedication were an effective remedy to any problem encountered.

The scope of the project was to develop test bench for steel wheels. The main goal was to build a stand that would improve the efficiency and quality of the tests performed.
We wanted to equip our testing department with End Of Line test bench. There wasn’t any dedicated solution available on the market. We asked them to design and implement tailored solution for our needs.
They standpoint include mechanical part, automatics and dedicated software. The main scope of the system is to acquire data during radial run-out measurement, process it and visualize it on screens (charts, trends, etc.)

Our autonomous swarm of unmanned vehicles, which-when being left in a given area - will perform autonomous exploration and supervision without any human intervention.

We initially needed a lot of low-level development. Capacity issues meant that our development team was overloaded. We hired AMC TECH for software development of Power Module (based on STM32) in NOA Sentiel vehicle.
Our goal was to successfully complete the development of the Unmanned Underwater Vehicle prototype and test the solution in the ocean.

We had the opportunity to meet the owner of AMC TECH at one of the scientific conferences. As it turned out, AMC has all competences that we were looking for. After personal meeting with the director of the department of embedded systems, we decided to collaborate.

The most important task commissioned by AMC TECH was to program the Power Module communicating with the LLC controller using the CAN protocol. This module is responsible for controlling 10 motors, equipped with wings that allow the robot to swim under water.
Additionally, engineers programmed GPIO expander’s I2C functions for two-way communication for devices such as ballast, thrusters, cameras and LEDs. This module monitors the correct power of the LLC controller and all components.

Our Project manager worked directly with 2 embedded software engineers and supervisor/QA from AMC TECH.

Tasks were accomplished by the team 2 weeks before the deadline. The prototype is fully operational and ready to deploy for underwater tests in the ocean.

The control module connects to the selected weather station ( e.g. Madagascar), collects information on the current microclimate and then replicates the same parameters in the terrarium. The controller using periphery connected to it can simulate weather phonemena such as rain, fog, wind, light intensity, humidity, and ven can simulate a storm. The system is supported with a mobile application for controlling and setting the module parameters.

About 10 people worked on the project I think. For this project they assigned for us: electronic designer, embedded software engineer, project manager, mobile app developer and CAD designer.

We decided to expand our business and spread our product range with a smart ventilation system. We needed a proven technology partner who would be able to deliver for us ready-market product.
Amc Tech provided hardware and software development support. They created a smart ventilation system for controlling the quality of indoor air around the clock including CO2, humidity and volatile organic compounds.

Due to the fact that we received a grant from the European Union funds, we were obliged to announce a tender. Amc Tech presented the best terms of cooperation and became our subcontractor.

Amc Tech provided a full range of engineering services. They designed whole electronics for sensors and the central unit. The sensors are connected with the central unit wirelessly using the 868 MHz protocol.
Due to that fact, the ventilation level per area is controlled completely automatically to measure air quality. From the software side, they developed a dedicated mobile app that allows remote ventilation management and scheduling of the system. All the data can be also shown via web portal in a computer browser.
Data from the sensors are stored in a personalized cloud solution. When it comes to the mechanical part, Amc Tech designed for us enclosures for sensors and the central unit. They also helped us to reach manufacturer of injection molds.

There were 12 people involved in our projects included: software developers (backend, frontend, mobile, cloud) electronic engineers (PCB designers, Testers, low-level developers) and mechanical constructors.

The results were positive and the project was successful. We were very happy with their work. The smart ventilation system expands our portfolio and allowed us to reach a new market segment.

After interviews with several companies, we selected Amc Tech based on their familiarity with the scope of work and their clear existing expertise and market base in the field.

The vibration monitoring system was split into hardware, software and mechanical parts. For the hardware element they designed a vibration sensor based on MEMS technology. The engineers designed electronic schematics, PCB layouts and embedded software. The software part related to designing the interface for event monitoring, data viewing, data analysis and configuration. The mechanical part was related to design of the enclosure to industrial specifications and mechanical response requirements.
What was the team composition?
We have a number of engineers, developers, designers and QA working with us on an ongoing basis.

The system is still under the development stage . After the first prototype of system was delivered by Amc we can say that we’re heading in the right direction and are starting pilot trials with some customers. The PoC met all our expectations and we really appreciate the quality of work which Amc gave us.

The workflow between our companies is effective. We have weekly and biweekly email and conference call communication and have been happy with the on-time delivery. What were your goals for this project?
Solaris Bus & Coach gave AMC TECH an assignment to develop a wireless system for diagnostics of bus vehicles. Its purpose was to simplify, automate and accelerate the process of bus diagnostics. The intended solution was supposed to be consistent with an existing vehicles’ architecture and software, allow remote monitoring and ensure easy upgrade of the system with new functionalities in the future (compatibility with drivers of bus subsystems).
How did you select this vendor?
I found them through our network of friends based on the context of what we were trying to do. I didn't know any of the team beforehand.
Describe the project and the services they provided in detail.
The development of the Bus fleet management system required a complete design of the architecture, based on technical documentation of the vehicle and fulfilling functional requirements such as: unification of interface, simplification of access to data collection, creation of a platform for data analysis and storage, as well as possibility to integrate complex diagnostic algorithms.
The system implemented by AMC TECH comprises of: communication interface through CAN bus, K-Line communication module, wideband router, main diagnostic interfaces computer and central diagnostic computer. Access to the full information about vehicle’s condition is carried out through KWP-2000 diagnostic interface according to SAEJ1939 standard.
Supported communication technologies are WiFi, LAN, WAN and GPRS, which allows the operator to conduct remote diagnostics of any vehicle around the world, before sending maintenance staff on site.
The monitored vehicle’s parameters are, among others: pressure and breaking system, doors, air conditioning, velocity, dynamics of movement, fuel consumption, location, etc. The system allows to launch monitoring and diagnostics application in the local maintenance base, and, using XBAP technology, in a web browser.
What was the team composition?
We had one main point of contact who was our project manager from AMC TECH, and he manage team which consisted of 8-12 people depending on the stage of the project.
Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?
In 2012 the first working version of the device and interface was developed. Thanks to the wireless diagnostic system for bus vehicles, the Solaris company is able to deliver to its customers a technically advanced service of remote monitoring and diagnostics.
This solution significantly reduces repair costs and increases maintenance quality. Thanks to the use of the GSM technology, it is possible to better prepare the engineers for field repairs, and even to conduct some of them remotely.
On the other hand the remote monitoring feature allows to improve logistics, optimize planned and unplanned vehicles’ stoppages, thanks to the possibility to record errors, fuel consumption on selected routes, temperature of cooling liquid or charged air (to analyze if heat exchangers were selected correctly).
How was project management arranged and how effective was it?
The workflow with AMC TECH was very well implemented and managed. The project manager was very responsive and ensured that communications were maintained continuously. We had weekly calls and personal meetings.
What did you find most impressive about this company?
I most admired AMC TECH’s professionalism and expertise. Their resources are highly skilled. Regarding project management, they had excellent response times and customer service.
