BACKGROUND
Describe your company and what you do there.
I’m the manager of operations and innovation for a marketing agency.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Aluxion?
We have a social media project called Mambo in which we associate a group of YouTube creators with an important sports figure, create a football team with them, and release a web series where they play on a team. It's a fictional series published on Youtube. Our idea was to develop a website that represented the spirit of the project. It needed to be visually strong and capable of attracting a community.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
The platform is a custom CMS based in WordPress. They've also created the designs, which are the most powerful part of the platform. The backend is based in PHP and the frontend is HTML5.
What is the team composition?
We were in direct contact with the manager. We had someone for development and another for design.
How did you come to work with Aluxion?
We found them by chance. The president of our company is very active in the entrepreneurship world, and some investors introduced us to the CEO of Aluxion. They thought we would be interested in them if we had to develop new projects.
We hired Aluxion since they had experience with similar projects and could offer advice about how to approach the communities on the image for the site. I knew the kind of projects they had worked on, so we thought of them when this new project came up. They had experience developing visually powerful sites, so they were ideal for us. It was very important that this site expand, so we needed a partner for its development and possible growth.
What is the status of this engagement?
It is now January 2018, and we have just finished development. The content is still pending on our side, but will be live in a couple of weeks.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
We are delighted. We have our own development team, although it’s not as big as theirs. Aluxion has delivered everything we expected, and the results are technically excellent. Their development and design skills are on a very high level.
Everyone involved with this project agrees that it completely reflects our vision. We agree to everything they propose because we love it. They always give practical, well-explained proposals. We just love everything.
How did Aluxion perform from a project management standpoint?
They’re very autonomous. This project has been relatively short. We had a couple of meetings and exchanged some materials, but not much else. The project has been very agile, and we have communicated very well during the meetings, so there were no issues on that side.
What did you find most impressive about them?
I was very surprised by their capacity to understand the project and make proposals. They understand the project, know what we want, and don't just wait for us to tell them what to do. They've taken our ideas and transformed them into the site.
