What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They've become part of our team. We're very happy with their work.

How did they perform from a project management standpoint?

They do an excellent job, closely monitoring their time and giving us regular reports. They're very focused on their tasks. When there are any issues, they address them immediately. We have a video call every morning and use Slack to communicate between calls. Our project manager is very knowledgeable and always has answers to our questions.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They're very flexible. They always meet our needs–despite the fact that our needs change almost every week.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We mostly work with their junior development team, but sometimes, we'd like to have a bit more experienced developers assigned to our project.

I was impressed by their design, testing, and documentation methods, which a lot of other teams lacked.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Our partnership has become much more efficient. We’re accurately predicting and estimating when certain features will be completed and ready for deployment. Altimi’s team understands our company and our solutions a lot better, which makes for a smoother collaborative process.

How did Altimi perform from a project management standpoint?

I’ve been very pleased with their project management skills. They hold themselves to high standards in all aspects of their work. Altimi leverages their industry expertise to provide keen insight and improve our solutions. We communicate through Confluence, Jira, Bitbucket, and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I am most impressed by their range of skills. With their recruiting team and other supportive services, Altimi is able to scale the team up or down with the appropriate resources when necessary. Other teams aren’t as accommodating. Also, they are receptive to criticism.

Any advice for potential customers?

I recommend clients take a trip to their headquarters in Poland to familiarize themselves with the team.

I am the business development manager of Altimi Solutions, a software house based in Wrocław, Poland. We have a 200-person team, and I am responsible for managing the client side of projects.

What challenge were you trying to address with Softiti?

We are a software house specializing in web and mobile applications, as well as testing. We received a project from a prospective client, but we didn’t feel our skillsets were adequate to tackle it.

We were aware that Softiti specialized in the areas we needed, so we discussed a possible collaboration that involved them being responsible for the technical side of the project.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We were working with a German client designing a sanitary solution related to liquid cooling and heating systems. In terms of technology, we were asked to form a team qualified to work with JavaScript, Java, .NET, and C#. Some of the components programmed by Softiti are intended for final customers.

This was the biggest project we’ve worked on with Softiti, but we’ve used their resources previously for smaller, ad-hoc work. We reached out to them in the past when we needed additional skillsets, or if a deadline was approaching and we needed support.

Softiti has provided us with C++ skillsets, which is an area in which we are lacking. We use Softiti's resources whenever we are required by a client to do this kind of work.

What is the team dynamic?

There was an average of 5 people on the team with various skillsets providing software for the cooling system.

How did you come to work with Softiti?

Although Wrocław is not a very large city, and only has a population of around 8,000 people, it’s the Silicon Valley of Poland in terms of IT. There are a few important software houses here, so by being based in this area, we are aware of the competition. We’d heard from friends and colleagues that Softiti had expertise in the areas we needed, especially Java, JavaScript, and C++. I spoke to some colleagues during conferences, and many gave positive opinions on Softiti.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Softiti around 2013, and the relationship is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve always returned to Softiti due to their competence. The resources and project managers assigned for our end-client are extremely talented, so the feedback we’ve received proves they are good developers producing high-quality software.  

Softiti is a transparent company. We have been working on a time-and-materials model, so we pay them for the actual hours worked. The process has been honest, and we can communicate about everything, which is very important to us because they represent us in front of the final client. This relationship has been fair and trustworthy, and we are confident in them to provide good work within a financially fair model.

The heating and cooling machine software for our German client has been selling very well. It has improved the quality, speed, and accuracy of the equipment, so our collaboration with Softiti over the past five years has been beneficial.

How did Softiti perform from a project management standpoint?

They have a dedicated project manager who we can contact any time we need to, and the final client can do the same. Softiti is very organized, and uses the Scrum methodology while communicating with us on a daily basis. The developers are quick, ambitious, and eager to learn. We always have access to their work on JIRA. I have nothing bad to say regarding their project management, because they are always informed and on time.

It’s impossible to create bug-free software and to hit every deadline, but Softiti has additional developers and project managers on their team if we need them. Their transparency allows us to react promptly in case of an issue, which is important to both us and our clients.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their transparency with progress is what I would emphasize the most. Softiti is confident about what they do, and they’re not scared to show us.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Forming teams more quickly would be beneficial, but this was always a recommendation from the client. Softiti has always told us we needed to take time to prepare and to find the right resources.
