Alter Building Design, Inc. was formed by Elizabeth Alter in 2001. She earned a Masters in Architecture in 1998 from the University of Texas in Austin where she was awarded the AIA Henry Adams Certificate for Excellence in the Study of Architecture.
She majored in Architecture at Yale University, completing her BA in 1988, and then taught art and design for three years--first at a private school in Connecticut and then in Botswana in southern Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer.
